Rude Customer Service, and does not honor the "Low Price Guarantee." I recently called them about a Cannon T4i camera that I was looking to buy. I found the camera less expensive on another website (Bestpricephoto.com) and the representative told me that the price was too low and he would not match it. He tried negotiating with me, but dropped the camera price by about $25.

His response was that he was not sure if Best Price Photo is "Authorized." However, when I asked him if he wanted to look at the site, he said that he "knew what it said." That leads me to believe that they have heard of Best Price Photo before.

This company has clearly dishonest marketing on their website, and a company that I would avoid doing business with. As much as I enjoy NYC, it is clear that this company is in some shady marketing and not trustworthy. If you need electronics, just go to Amazon.com for a similar or better price and avoid J&R with their sketchy business practices. It is only a matter a time before someone brings a lawsuit to J&R for false marketing. If you don't mean it, don't say it.

Lastly, when I told the rep that I would write a review about this, he couldn't have cared less. Time to share my review some other places!"

"First time I have ordered something from J&R so I wasn't sure what to expect. Before purchasing a computer case (CM Storm Trooper) I read some reviews on the product page. One review mentioned having shipping damage so I was hesitant to order. Some other online retailers will ship the computer case in a box with packing peanuts, air cushions, etc. J&R unfortunately does not. The case arrived in good condition except for the front panel which is damaged. Upon removing the front panel the part where two screws go in is broken, as well as two small pieces from the top.

"Fast and convenient online shopping that is absolutely hassle free. They clearly disclose the product as new or open box etc. If a product is new, its actually new passing all the manufacturer quality assurance. I've bought from other online giant from N.Y and have been burnt with receiving products that was advertised as new but must have failed some QA steps with problems like dead pixels on viewfinder, lens with uneven coating, demo product and burned in images on CMOS sensor only visible in bulb mode. JR have gain my trust to sell new products without any defects. I will check JR first when looking for photo/video equipment. "
