Cheap Product and Poor Customer Service

"I don't recommend buying from this company. I bought my wife a ring as a gift. It took probably 1-2 weeks to arrive. My wife didn't like it. Admittedly it looked cheap, but we decided to give the company another try and were willing to do an exchange. The rings look good on the website, so I thought maybe it was just the ring I chose.

Something to note, if you do an exchange and your original order had free shipping, Jeulia will deduct the cost of original shipping from your store credit, and they don't offer a return label or anything. They require that you ship it back and provide them with tracking upon shipment. So that means you lose money on the original shipment to you, and you're responsible for paying to ship it back. Also, communication is a hassle. I followed the instructions on the website and filled out a return request form but never heard from them. No phone number is available. The only way I could reach them was via email at ****@****. They would usually respond within 24 hrs and typically overnight, likely because their support is based overseas.

After I returned the product, Jeulia issued me store credit (less the original shipping cost). To do exchanges, Jeulia issues you store credit and you must buy again on the website. My wife found another ring and we were ready to process the exchange, however, I accidentally reordered using my credit card instead of the store credit. I'm not sure if I just made a mistake. I thought their site was a bit funky to use. At any rate, I contacted Jeulia within about 10 minutes of placing the order, requesting a refund, stating I tried to use my store credit but it charged my card instead. They initially replied that they could only give me store credit because the order was already in production, after 10 minutes! I pressed the issue, and thankfully they refunded me. But they wanted me to just get store credit, which I didn't need since I would have had credit for two purchases then.

I managed to get the order through correctly. It took a while to arrive, maybe 2-3 weeks this time. When we finally received the ring, we both looked at it and were immediately disappointed. It looked like a cheap, plastic ring that you'd find in a cereal box.

Based on our two tries at a ring, we decided to request a refund. We had no interest in another exchange. We just wanted our money back. However, Jeulia refused to give us a refund. They instead insisted on store credit again. Plus, they wanted to deduct $13 this time for the original shipping. That means between shipping back and forth two times, I lost about $34 dollars, and that's on an order value of $99.

Their website return policy contains language about how they want you to be comfortable with your purchase and that they have a flexible return policy. In practice, it's anything but that. I've had multiple exchanges at this point to no avail. They have no interest in refunding my money or ensuring I have a good experience with them. They claim that because my second order used store credit that I could only be given store credit upon return. But I only accepted store credit on the first order because we were willing to give their product another try and that's how they process exchanges. The resulting logic based on their response is that because I decided to give their product another try instead of requesting a refund outright, I am disqualified from getting a refund on my exchange. It makes no sense from a customer satisfaction standpoint, and it doesn't match the tone of their stated return policy. They have not been able to show where this requirement is stated in their terms, despite multiple requests that they do so.

Overall, I'm very unhappy with my experience with Jeulia. We had high hopes, but their product as far as we can see is nowhere near worth the money, and they are not committed to providing a satisfactory customer experience.
