"Joann.com would be a convenient way to obtain fabric but they refuse to fill the orders. I have ordered fabric online on five different occasions and every single time they've contacted me to say the item is out of stock. When I go to the website the item shows in stock, when I call to place an order the item is in stock, but when it's time to fill the order it's out of stock. I figure they're too lazy to cut the fabric and it's easier to tell the customer the item is out of stock. The customer service would be better titled customer DIS-service as they are rude and know nothing about the products. I'm done with Joann.com and I am now patronizing local fabric shops NOT Joann Craft stores or online. I refuse to give them my business and will speak with my dollars by taking them elsewhere."
"Awful experience!! Order a Christmas present on 12/5 was shipped the wrong item finally picked up on the 17th but have not received the item I ordered. Promised multiple times it will be shipped immediately but it's the 21st and still not here. The worst service ever!! I am beyond upset!! "
"Be warned - do not order fabric on line! Color may be wrong!! I ordered a fleece fabric that was called "Bruno Plaid NAVY" and received a fabric that was PURPLE plaid. Not an indigo or purple blue, but straight up purple. It would be one thing if the color in the picture was not quite accurate, but they called it NAVY! To make things worse, it looked like I would have to pay the shipping to return it. Their return policy on the website is misleading if you don't read all the fine print. I glanced through it before I ordered and read that they will give a full refund and will provide a pre-paid shipping label. They do provide a pre-paid shipping label, BUT their policy is that they reduce your refund by $5. Very misleading, and not very classy. In this case, however, they did agree to pay my shipping when I explained that the product I received was not the color stated. The representative said they would email a shipping label, so far I've just received an email saying they will get back to me. "
"I will never order from JoAnn's again. I ordered fabric for my son's Halloween costume and A WEEK LATER they told me that two of the fabrics I ordered are unavailable. Never again.
Oh, and when I tried to email customer service the email bounced back as undeliverable."
"I ordered some stickers and cardstock online at Joann. When I received my order everything was correct except instead of Candy Shop colored cardstock, I received black cat cardstock. I called customer service and it took 30 minutes before I was connected to a representative. That was frustrating, but the representative was very helpful. She told me to keep the black cat cardstock, refunded what I paid for the candy shop cardstock and then ordered it again at the sale price I had ordered it at. Overall, I am very happy with the end result, but gave it 4 stars due to the long wait to talk to a representative."

"This is an awful place to shop! I waited ten days for my order only to find that two items that were essential to my project were missing. They never contacted me before shipping to let me know that the items were out of stock. When I called them they said that their warehouse does not have "real time" inventory tracking so a product may show as in stock when, in fact, they have none. I have essentially not saved any money by buying here since the savings on the product will be eaten up since I know have to place a small order somewhere else. Be forewarned: Do NOT bother to hope here! WORST online experience in a long time."
"Worst store ever!! I placed 2 orders: the first one took 5 days to ship, and then just got lost in transit by UPS (Ok, UPS problem). I contacted Joann, and they just told me that I should wait 7 to 10 days for UPS to investigate the case (really??? I didn't make any business with UPS, it's Joann who should be responsible in front of their clients, and then solve their issues with UPS). Still waiting for this package...
The second order, placed on may29, was supposedly shipped on Jun 4th, but of 5 units I ordered of one item, only 3 were shipped (BTW, the item is still listed on their site, but it has doubled the price from one day to another). I never received an explanation about why not the 5 were shipped. I contacted them via email the same day, and still today, Jun 8th, no answer at all!!!
AWFULL CUSTOMER SERVICE! absolutely no responsibility and they didn't care at all about their customers. Never again!!"
"Please be weary when ordering fabric quarters online. I was send a black patterned fabric when I had ordered a yellow floral pattern. Contacted the return department and they referenced their disclaimer, 'we do not guarantee you will receive the exact same Quarters.'
So unless you like playing the mystery game when ordering something - do NOT buy fabric quarters online! "

Misleading signage and poor customer service. Associate actually told me I could "probably find it on-line, cheaper!" I accept her challenge, I'll look on-line before I ever go back in that store!"
"I wish I had read reviews before I decided to waste my time shopping online with this joke of a company! I placed an order on February 27th, 2015. I ordered 2 types of fabric, some D rings, and fiber fill. I did not get a confirmation email from them until the next day, stating that I had placed my order on the 28th, which was a lie. They promised my items would be at my house in 3-5 business days and I would receive a tracking number shortly. Well 5 days later and still no email or tracking number. I emailed them and then decided to call instead. The woman on the phone told me the entire order had just shipped today, what a coincidence, and I would receive a tracking number shortly. 5 hours later I get the email and see that only the stupid D rings and fiber fill shipped! I call back and wait another 45 minutes to talk to someone. This one tells me, "Oh, that's weird your fabric didn't ship". She checks the warehouse and says they are out of stock! It was in stock when I ordered and not just a few pieces, a lot of each fabric. So now I am paying shipping on some stupid fiber fill and D rings when what I really needed was the fabric. She tells me to call back in a week and they will honor the price I was given to begin with, if the fabric is in stock. I tried to cancel the rest of the order and surprise surprise, that's a great big NO. I am pregnant and due any day now, I need the fabric for baby items I am making. I can't waste time calling to see if they ever have fabric in stock. The closest store is on the other side of town. I will no longer be giving them my business in any way shape or form! I was already mad that they constantly send me useless coupons, or they only take the price down to what I would normally pay at other stores anyways. This company is a joke! DO NOT use their online service EVER!!! If I hadn't called would they have just never informed me that my fabric was out of stock? "
"I will never shop at JoAnns either on line or in their stores. I will go to my local, yarn, fabric, quilting stores or shop with reputable stores on line rather than ever set a step in JoAnns. They are rude do not know anything about customer service. The quality of their products is going down hill. The employees both on line and in the stores are rude and always blame the customer for the problem. They are awful and don't deserve anyone's business. "
"I am a huge supporter of JoAnn's. they are one of a few -- if not the last -- of the original fabric stores (original brick and mortar) that is still around now that buying fabric online is ubiquitous. I buy from them online when they have a good deal-- which is quite often. I go into their stores all of the time. I also take sewing classes at their stores. I do find that I can buy some of the fancier fabrics elsewhere at a lower price but there are still plenty of products that I need and can find at JoAnn for a great price with great quality. I go to JoAnn first to continue my support. "

"I ordered a cricut machine online, and it was missing parts. Joann's would not send me the parts because it was past the "90 days" and told me to contact Cricut directly for help. WHAT?
