"I bought the 250 about 2 mnths ago. Now that the weather is getting warmer I will be testing it out. I found two quarters and a penny on my first hunt in my back yard and the 250 told me what they were before I started digging. You definatly need the pointer along with the 250. The quarters looked just like dirt. Overal I am very pleased with the 250. It is better than a starter detector. "
