"On line suppliers live or die by their delivery. Kikatek, then, could end up on life support.

When I placed my order, I paid for "Priority Service (1 to 2 Working Days): £7.13".

Not only did the company fail on this, its response was mendacious and far from apologetic.

I placed my order at 3:15 On Wednesday. It cleared "security and credit checks" soon after.

The item turned up on Monday.

It should have got it to me on Thursday or Friday.

I complained.

The response was that the cut off time was 3 o'clock.

I checked their web site, it said 4 o'clock.

So, they lied, or got the wrong information, in their response.

Even so, checking the progress of the order showed that they did nothing with it on Thursday. Had they acted, it might have arrived on Friday, within the timescale I paid for.

In the event, they did not start packing the order until Friday, after I had sent a message asking why the order was stuck.

They have not responded to my follow-up comment, pointing out the discrepancies between their first response and their web site, and the lack of any action for a day.

If time is not important, then the supplier might be worth considering if they have something that you cannot get elsewhere. On the other hand, the delivery was not so much "packed" as stuck in a flimsy plastic bag. Other on-line sellers usually provide more better padding for fragile items.

"Before ordering I emailed Kikatek to check that laptop supplied with W7Pro as advertised on website in both headline and detailed specs. They confirmed that this was the case so I ordered. laptop arrived following day on 1-2 day delivery, so happy, although delivery charges are much higher than other suppliers. When setting machine up i found that W7 Home Premium installed - does not have the functionality I require, so unsuitable (hence asking for confirmation before ordering). Kikatek have refused to provide upgrade to W7Pro as was advertised on their website. Not possible to contact by phone - all correspondence by email and it seems to take them 2 days to respond to each one. Kikatek will only offer a refund quoting "That they made an honest mistake". It appears the person making the mistake was the General Manager (or he claims to be) - but he is unable to make any decision other than refunding the machine. Customer service is diabolical. Avoid Kikatek. Will refer to Trading Standards"
