"horrible customer service. when I ordered my $1,300 table the website said I would get it in 2-3 weeks. After 3 weeks I e mailed and asked when I could expect deliver and was told it would be in 2-3 MORE weeks. Nothing was offered when I mentioned how shocked I was that they doubled the delivery time and didn't even bother to notify me. I had to call in and ask for a more specific delivery date and was told that I'll be notified when the shippers have it, which was no help at all. Not what I was expecting for spending a premium on a table."
"Very good value and shopping experience.

"The customer service at KitchenSource is superb. Once I had to exchange and item and everything was carried through as explained. No problems, no hassles. Shopping with KitchenSource is always a great experience. "
"I received my item really fast (only took 3 days and shipping was free). The cost was about $90.00 less than other merchants for a comparable item."
"great - came ontime and is an excellent product "
"The Blomus Magnet Board, Perforated 50 x 60 cm, Brushed Stainless Steel and the hanger accessories is just what I was looking for. A bit expensive, but good quality. I do wish that the hook style hangers were a bit shorter in their length (this would utilize space on the board better), and would hook in the holes more sturdily as they wiggle when hanging items. I fixed this by placing small strips of double stick tape to the back of each hook. But overall - love it. Shipping was fast!"
"I experienced the same disappointing experience with this company. When products had to be returned, they made the process both expensive and painful. They dragged their feet giving credit to my credit card, and then they uncharged me for restocking fee and shipping/handling. Their website draws you in by indicating they ship for free, and "no restocking fee" BEWARE--this is classic misleading advertising. I spent countless hours on the phone with them, and they were unwilling to credit my card. The conditions were there, in the small print. This is just about the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Find your products elsewhere. They do not deserve your business."
"Oh, I wish I read all these reviews before I ordered something from KitchenSource.com! But I didn't.
So here is my story.
Beware and stay away!
I ordered “Häfele #556.68.776 Double Cutlery Tray” from this company, actually two of them. I ordered bunch of stuff before, and was going to order more. But I guess I was not smart enough to realize how this thing works. When they arrived, I realized that to make them work I HAD TO CUT MY DRAWER’S BACK. It was never mentioned anywhere when I was buying it. If I knew, I would have never bought them, because we’ve just got our new custom made kitchen with nice drawers, and spend huge money and more then four months to get it. I’m not willing to cut my new drawers. The other thing – the upper tray doesn’t go all the way back, so it’s a big trouble try to get anything from the back sections of the lower tray. So I had to send these things back.
Not only I paid 32 dollars to send them back (the box was big, and you have to send them back in the original package, so the return would be accepted). But this company is going to charge me 15% restocking fee, unless I buy something from them again. And I would understand that, if it was just my mood, that I changed my mind and just sent them back. I feel like I was fooled in this situation, and I should not be paying not only this restocking fee, but even delivery charge for sending them back! I send them e-mail, explaining the situation, but they just don’t want to get the point. So what I’m thinking now – I try not to buy anything from this company anymore, because respectable companies I think don’t behave like this.
I've checked – they haven’t added anything into the description of the item, explaining that you need to cut the drawer. How I can rely on the other items descriptions?
I also send this my review to their web-site. But they haven’t publish it either.
Also I just got their statement about my money refund. They charged me not only 15% restocking fee, but also something else – as I think initial shipping, which was free when I ordered from them!
So, I lost 80 dollars – more the 40% - from my 190 paid to them initially because of this no fault return. But I’d better do this, then order something from them again.
This is later eddition of my review. I complained about KitchenSource to BBB, and got 30 dollars back as they returned 15% restocking fee. But they didn't just do it. First they tried to blame me that I didn't ask them first, but complained to BBB right away. Which was not true: first I asked them, but they refused to give me that 15% back.
Second - I returned them two items, but they initially returned me fee for one item only. After additional my request they finally returned money for the second item.
I don't know if they did all this intentionally (what meant they weren't honest company). Or it just was in this way because they weren't attentive enough to find out all the detailes right away, so I needed all the time to prove something from what I said was true.
All together - very unpleasant experience with KitchenSource.com.

"I ordered a rev-a-shelf pull out trash conversion kit. It was $10 less than rev-a-shelf's site and it said it would ship right away. I ordered on 11/7, got an email on 11/8 saying 3 days plus transit time but it did not ship till 11/30. There was no info from them to let me know what was happening. I finally called and learned that they didn't have the product in stock and were waiting for it to be shipped from the manufacturer. Next time I will pay the extra $10 and get things in a more timely manner."
"I tried purchasing 2 different sizes of exhaust fan grills, only one of which was as shown on the Kitchensource website. What I received was a 6" diffuser grill, not the intake grill I expected. I called Kitchensource and was told they would contact the manufacturer (Air King) and get back to me later in the day. After waiting a week for a reply, I called again, and again they said they would have to contact the manufacturer. This time the manufacturer asked that I send a photo of what I had received before they would do anything about it, instead of just sending out the correct part. I told Kitchen Source this was unacceptable and I would just like to return it for a refund. So again I'm told they would have to contact the manufacturer and would send me an email later that day. Didn't happen, I'm still waiting several days later. Of all my internet transactions over 10 years this one with Kitchen Source is the only one gone bad. I will never deal with Kitchensource or it's sister sites ever again. "
"Kitchensource advertises no restocking fees and easy returns. No such thing at this store. I order a trashcan pull out tray (as pictures on their site) and received a trashcan cover. Only the cover! I called to return my order and was only asking for credit towards the purchase of the item I really wanted, and they said the could not accept my return.
Do not order from Kitchensource! I paid $44 for a lid that I have no use for! "
"I had terrible experience with KitchenSource. Shipping was very slow - it took them 2 weeks to deliver a trash can. They also have "NO RESTOCK FEES" and "EASY RETURNS" signs on their web-site, but due to their return policy I had to spend ridiculous $44.67 to return my $101.95 order. Do NOT give your business to KitchenSource."
"Terrible service!
11/10/09 called and asked if a Houzer sink could be shipped to us to arrive no longer than 9 days out. Granite fabricator appointment would charge $200 for a re-schedule. They said no problem, they would contact us if it didn't ship within 48 hours. Checked on the order a week later, 11/17, and the sink had not shipped yet. Called in the morning only to be told the order taker had to be the one to handle the expedite(?!). Said she would arrive in an hour. Called in an hour only to be told it would be another hour. Waited and called back again to be told another half hour. Called for a supervisor and was connected to the person who allegedly wasn't there. She said she left a message w/ the warehouse and would call us in an hour whether she heard back or not. Hour later, guess what? No call. Called AGAIN and received same response- left a message. I called Houzer direct and was helped by great people and learned there were 13 available in NJ and 4 in CA. Since we're in CA it might work out. Found out who the order should be sent to, what it should say and they would make sure it was fulfilled, probably today. Called Kitchensource back after doing their job for them and told them to send it out ASAP.
Am keeping fingers crossed the sink leaves Los Angeles today, overnight at Kitchensource expense. There is no customer service/ support and they don't seem to care."
"I found exactly what I was looking for, got a reasonable price on with the no tax and free shipping, then got $5 off for using google checkout. My item, a simplehuman trash can, had some blemishes on the lid. I called Kitchen Source and they got simplehuman to send me out a replacement lid. I was happy to not have to ship the whole thing back. So I am a fan of both Kitchen Source and Simplehuman now. Will buy from both again. Bonus is coupon code for discount on my next purchase."
"BEWARE! I placed an order for a range hood which appeared to be ductless - we read the description VERY carefully, and we were certain of our purchase. But WHEN WE GOT IT we saw it was "convertible" venting. We returned it with the intention of re-ordering the ductless series of the same model. However, when we were ready to return and ready to reorder, the model with the size we needed was no longer sold on their website! AND now the description of the one we got was clearly not ductless. Hmmmm.
SO, Kitchensource.com KEPT 25% ($102.25) PLUS their shipping cost. Let’s see…they must claim to have paid $81.75 for shipping because out of my $409 order, THEY REFUNDED ONLY $215 to me! This is unfair, especially in these economic times. By the way, when I returned it, I paid $30 to get it there in 5 days.
When I emailed them I (eventually) got brief uncaring responses. I even tried calling but got a recording every time and when I finally left a message, NO ONE called me back. It seems to me they have my money and they have their product back and they are done with me.
I WANTed to re-order a replacement from them – then they would have kept only 15%. I couldn't believe the item was no longer available - I had searched for a MONTH before purchasing looking for just the right rangehood and I probably looked at everything on the kitchensource.com site and every time the Windster 208F 30-inch was always listed then and now that I need it it is suddenly gone from the site. I asked when/if it would be available again and if I could reorder and get some of the 25% returned – My question was unanswered – but I certainly know every word of their return policy now!
As of today, I still have no rangehood and I think I will go to a local Lowes -or maybe the new Ikea store- and use the $215 to purchase a cheap rangehood.
So my advice is to SHOP LOCALLY fur large items such as this - where you know the return policy and have face to face service! And, most importantly, beware of KitchenSource.com and their return policy!
