"To echo basically ever other review on here, this company is HORRIBLE. I let the end of the semester get me frazzled and accidentally mixed up shipping labels for my 2 rentals and sent this company the books I intended to send to another. Well, they didn't catch it until a few weeks after I returned them and I only had a week or so to get them the correct book. I explained the situation and asked the price of the book if I could not get it back from the other company. They quoted me a number and low and behold they didnt receive my book on time but when it came time to charge me, the book was 41% more expensive than the price they quoted me only a week or 2 before. I contacted them about why I incurred a penalty when I don't remember that language in the contract. They replied that I had to pay for what the book was listed for at the time on their website. So miraculously the price of the book jumped from $146 to $206 just in time for them to charge me. Extremely fraudulent company and it's practices are questionable at best. also, since they received incorrect books from me they told me I had to notify them ASAP bc they only had my books in stock and they could sell them... I am pretty sure you cannot keep someone else's property that has been sent to you by mistake, sell it for your benefit, and still charge them for the rental they owe you. Highly recommend buying/renting from Amazon. Any issues I have ever had they have given me the benefit of the doubt and helped me. "
"Returned two books. The rental was 14 days late (I admit that). Was charged 100% MSRP (full price of NEW book) for used books. When they received the books, I was only refunded 50% of that outrageous charge.
When I finally spoke to a human in customer service, she was rude, argumentative, and frankly unapologetic.
My son has about 6 more years of undergrad and graduate studies. All of those future rentals will be from other companies. I am making it a point to express my dissatisfaction at every possible site on the web."

"I ordered my book last Friday, paid for 1 day shipping and have yet to receive my book. The 1 day shipping was 25$ the book was only 14$. I paid more for shipping then the actual book because I needed it within the next 2 days. I have been on hold for 45 minutes trying to talk with someone from this company to get some shipping money back for not receiving my book in a day. The only thing "Anthony" the chat rep had to say was "The shipping terms are clearly listed on the web site, you have received the service you have paid for per the web site." Completely rude and did not help me at all. Not even try to offer half my shipping back or anything. I cant even get a real live person on the phone to help me. I am very irate with this problem and feel like nobody wants to help me and will never do business wit them again. "

"This will be my first and last time ordering from this company. I ordered a book in Jan and I was suppose to return the book in June. I admit I did forget, but Knect did not even try to reach out to me and send a late notice or some type of reminder. I wake up and my credit card was charged almost 300 dollars for a book that I will not ever need again and I have sent a email to Knect, but after reading the other reviews. I an pretty sure i will not be getting my money back at at all. I have ordered books from Amazon in the past, and that company send reminders asking if you want to purchase the book or if you will be sent the book back. I only rented the book for maybe 60 dollars and now you will charge 300.00. Never again next time i will be using Amazon and they only reason I didn't this last time was because Knect was cheaper. I guess cheap is not always the best, because you will end up paying for in the long run. I will definitely be looking to see if there is any legal action I can take, but this company can't get away with this,especially to when you order something 6 months and you do not even try to contact the person, hell send a reminder email. It seems like this is away for them to get people money."

"I unfortunately have to agree with many people here about terrible customer service. I did return the wrong book. I found out only because the other company notified me, which was also kind enough to return it for me with no extra cost. Knetbooks, on the other hand, said nothing about the incorrect item, but promptly deducted a late fee twice as much as the rental fee, without even sending me a NOTICE. Not surprisingly, Knetbooks also refused to return the book directly to the other company so they can charge me shipping fee again. Very considerate and helpful. Will not buy again. "

"I have used Knetbooks.com several times. When I look for textbooks to rent or buy, price is obviously a factor. No matter where I look, Knetbooks is the cheapest place. The ONLY way I've been able to beat their prices is by finding a poor quality scanned PDF version of my book on some obscure corner of the internet. It's been so long since I've found lower prices that I don't remember the last place I went to for books. I DO search each semester, JUST in case, but I'm never surprised that Knetbooks can't be beat. Additionally, every book they've sent me has been in brand new condition and ships VERY quickly. Highly recommended! "

"This company is so terrible! This is my FIRST AND LAST TIME to use this website. I ordered my book two weeks ago and I did not get anything. One of the representative said tracking page states that it was already delivered but I don't see ANYTHING. I told them I want a refund but they would NOT do it. "This company is the worst rental company ever, I rented a book in Oct and it was supposed to be returned on Jan 25, I admit I did not remember but when I called them a week later to return the book they had already charged my account the full price of the book which was 157.94, so that's over 200.00 for a book that costs a little under 160.00. Speaking to customer service over the phone is a lost cause they are not helpful then they lied and claimed a supervisor called me and left a message, I still have not received any call back and it has been 3 weeks. They do not want to refund me at least half my money back but was quick to tell me to sell the book back on their marketplace for about 45-50, The rep on the phone Amber was rude and hung the phone up on me. I have never been treated so disrespectfully, this is a horrible site they suck as a business, their customer service skills also suck and I will make sure take this complaint up the ladder to wherever I have to in order to be heard. Another thing it is sad that all the reviews I have read so far are bad horrible one about your service and your representatives and how much they suck you guys need to do something in order to move your rate score from a 1.90 and I'm sure it's only that much because a rate of 0 is not available. FYI I waited on hold after Amber hung up on me for 30 minutes so that is another zero against you guys the wait time is horrendous. I am a college student so I am always purchasing books online and I also have friends in college and I will make sure to let it be known that knetbooks,com treats bits customers horribly and does not reach out to you especially when they lie and say a supervisor will be with you within the next 24-48 hours."
