Such a scam

"Never received the book and the agent who I spoke to told me that was not their problem and I was responsible to find it and return it despite USPS said the merchant was the one to open a claim. They decided it was NOT their responsibility after the book left their warehouse. No book, no refund and no customer service "

"professor removed titles from required texts - knetbooks would take them back, but charged a re-stocking fee. REALLY? so, if they were to be returned at the end of the rental they wouldn't RESTOCK those books!? Kind of ridiculous if you ask me"

Cheap and Great Books!

"I was amazed by how inexpensive and great the books are with Knetbooks. The books I received were in great condition and saved me several hundred dollars this semester. I am a nursing student and sometimes books are over $400 per semester. This Year, I only spent $45! I am so glad that I found this book rental website. "

Don't expect reasonable delivery or customer service

"I ordered one item and paid $5 for expedited shipping. The item description didn't show lack of availability. No tracking number was provided after my purchase. A week later, the website showed my order was still 'Processing', so I called to check on it. I was told the item had been out of stock at one publisher, so it was requested from another. I was assured that shipping would be upgraded to 2-day, since I had waited so long and had paid extra for shipping.

When the item didn't arrive on the expected day, I called again, only to find that the shipping had not been upgraded, and that I would be waiting a total of 2 weeks to get the item.

The bottom line is, if you need your book in a reasonable amount of time, purchase elsewhere. If you have several weeks or more, then you can save a few dollars. If you run into any issues with your order (and you may), don't expect knowledgeable customer service.

Knetbooks is managed by 'A Book Company', which also manages several other online textbook sites - ecampus and biggerbooks.

Didn't get my order...Rude Customer Service

"I didn't get my order. It was shipped and never arrived at my house. I was told to call the post office and the post office said to talk to the company. Knetbooks told me they weren't liable and that I was screwed. They were going to do nothing about it. I've never dealt with such rude customer service reps in my life and I used to be a CSR. I will never use Knetbooks again. "
