"With most online sellers, you get communications on receipt of order, when order is shipped, etc. With Kotula's, not so much. I was disappointed in their LACK of communication. I had ordered 3 items....2 shipped quickly, one was backordered. I *NEVER* heard another word on the backordered item. Emailed them twice, got not response. Finally called them...no answer after 15 minutes, hung up. Called again, held for longer than 15 minutes, finally got a person on the line who told me my backordered item had been cancelled."

I think it is kind of premature for this ratings company to ask me how satisfied I am with this product... I don't know yet!!! "The shipment arrived in a timely fashion but the box was damaged and the interior box was damaged.....box was opened and 2 pieces of packing tape resealed it. My item is scratched a little but I gave it as a gift anyways because I had no back up gift! I will not order from here again! Do not know who dropped the ball.....fed ex or the shipper but don't care when both boxes were damaged"

"Kotula's has items that are unique and give you a lot of suggestions for gifts for people who are hard to find gifts for. The prices are pretty good too. The only problem I had was in ordering a couple different items and sending them to different places. I had to order them separately. I will be shopping there again and be a regular customer."

"I understand that it may take some extra time to process orders during the holidays, but I do think an extra full week just to ship a supposedly in-stock item is a bit excessive. I've placed orders at other small internet businesses, days after my Kotula's order, and some of them have arrived already. I am certain the rest of them, including some that I just ordered this evening, will arrive before my Kotula's order.

I called customer service and although they were polite, they asked me to wait another full week for the order to ship.

I wouldn't have gone through the trouble to write this review if I wasn't solicited via email. "

"Bought a portable hammock for a Christmas present from Kotula’s. When we tried to put it together, we noticed the primary hook was completely bent and wouldn’t hold the actually hammock up. When we tried to adjust it back to its shape and attach the hammock, the primary hook broke completely off. I tried to contact Kotula’s customer service with a photo of the broken piece, asking only to get a replacement for this piece, and never received a response. This was over a week ago. I’m definitely not happy with receiving broken merchandise and then not receiving any customer service help. "
