"I ordered an HP 4mm DDS-1 tape drive on the 14th, via the web.

I called on thursday to make sure that the item had shipped... I was informed that my paperwork hadn't made it from the printer (?) to the person that does the orders from that particular warehouse (?). I told the guy I spoke with on thursday that I didn't care what I got at that point, so long as it was SOMETHING. And I wanted it FRIDAY. I get a voicemail Friday saying my credit card was declined. (amex corporate platinum...) I gave him a different card number. I get an email the next day, stating that the "Product is out of stock." I call in AGAIN and the guy I speak with ASSURES me that the product is in stock, and will ship TODAY (Monday, 3/21)

So I get an email telling me that the credit card has been declined... (same card I use to purchase EVERYTHING) I give them yet another card number... he says everything should go through smoothly.

Today (Thursday, 3/24) I come in at 8:30, and I have a voicemail stating that MY CREDIT CARD WAS DECLINED AGAIN. I'm calling to cancel right now.

Don't waste your time or your sanity dealing with these IDIOTS. I never will again.

"Beware of "refurbished" products being sold as "new". Purchased a Cisco Router which was used. Also, Cisco will not warrant any of their products sold through LACC as they are not a certified vendor of Cisco products.

I was able to eventually resolve my issue with LACC, however it took several phone calls, e-mails, and RMA's to do so. If I had to do it all over again, I would think twice before purchasing from LACC again. I eventually got what I needed but it took a lot of work.

Caveat Emptor.

"Do NOT use LACC if buying any used or refurbished items! Save your money and nerves! I bought a notebook from them that came with broken DVD/CDR combo and corrupt HDD. AFTER I sent the item back for my own money to return it and get credited for it they informed me of 25% (!!!) restocking fee. A month later still the credit hasn't been awarded, though restocking fee dropped arbitrarely to 15%. Don't buy from them: they'd rip you off one way or other, learn my lesson, read other reviews."

"I placed the order and they replied they had my order in stock and that they could ship it as soon as the funds arrived. Now, once the funds were received, they say the item is back ordered. This is not professional. I am very disappointed, and requested an immediate refund. "

"This is the worst online retailer I've ever ordered from. Their prices are attractive, but they've sent me defective items twice, overcharged me once and ALL calls to customer service go unanswered. When you do reach them, they always say that it's your fault. I'm out hundreds of dollars because of this retailer."

"Very bad customer service.DO NOT ORDER FROM LACC.
Ordered new drives August 21. Received September 14 or so. One was used, RMA'd after extensive efforts to contact company. It is now October 21 and still do not have replacement drive after dozens of calls, emails.
It is almost impossible to get someone on the phone, and if you get the operator and insist on someone you will wait for up to an hour+ on hold for one person to finish the call he is on!

"These people, in a nutshell, suck!

They sent the wrong part out and three months later still haven't issued a refund for the return.

Dozens of e-mails and several phone calls later, it's all a shell game with them. Nice enough sounding customer service people who absolutely never follow through and give you the tired run around every time.

I will file a mail-fraud complaint with the USPS and institute chargeback procedures with Visa.

Danger - stay away!

"Well, i ordered a projector from LACC late late on Tuesday night, the next day they gave me a call to confirm my expensive order, and then shipped it out that day.It was recieved the following day (i chose 1-2day shipping). It was a refurbished projector, but unlike most people here, they did state that it was refurbished on their website. The projector came in very nice packaging with custom molded foam and a full load of brand new, unopened accesories and a carrying case. The Projector works great! I would difinitly buy from them again for their close-out prices and great service."

"Order was originally placed this past weekend. I expected the order to be shipped on Monday or Tuesday at the latest. It is now Wednesday and there is still no status listed on their website. The pricing for a Cisco WIC-1ENET= was EXTREMELY attractive. So much so it has me wondering if they are attempting to either stall me until I cancel or attempt to switch me to another product.

I will leave the order for this "new" and "in stock" product until it ships. I have done business with LA Computer Center in the past and found them extremely responsive. I hope this isn't the order that causes me to change my mind. I suppose any failure to disclose, mislabeling or fraud can be resolved by the credit card company and my prepaid lawyer.

I hope to change this to a glowing review once the product has actually shipped.

"After reading the comments from other customers concerning refurbished or used equipment being sold as new I was reminded of an HP 4100TN printer I purchased from them about a year ago. I'm a reseller and after we installed the printer for my customer, a paper feeding problem was encountered. We took it to an HP Service Center and the rep ran a diagnostic and noted the unit had 30K pages on its counter. I was very surprised as the unit was clean, unscratched and there were no indications of use.

LACC took it back and replaced it - paying shipping both ways - but I had to do some fast talking to convince my customer I wasn't pulling a fast one. Judging from other comments I see a disturbing pattern here.

"Placed a order on the 8th of April at 2:00pm CST. Item was clearly marked in stock and I ordered items with priority overnight shipping at $120.00. I recieved a phone call at 4:30pm CST and was informed order could not be processed for delivery and would be delayed 1 day at the same rate, so I agreed to these terms because I needed these parts. Now it is 6:30pm CST on the 8th and I receive a phone call from this company informing me they were out of stock. How can a company stay in business with treatment of its customers. It is bad enough they could not fullfill my order, but on top of everything they waited until it was to late for me to place the order from another vendor. I will not do business with this company again and would advise anyone else to do the same."
