"We’ve been in three classes now, the first two were good. The toddler class we’re in now is ok. The teachers seem under motivated because they’re compensation isn’t commensurate with the job they’re doing. Thus, they seem less than motivated to really care about the kids. It feels like it’s just a job for them. With every other service I pay for, that is ok. But my kids are the most important thing in my life. And now that we are paying more than a mortgage payment to attend this school, I want more. I want teachers who care, healthy nutritional food, and meaningful development."
"I like the school curriculum"
"The infant and toddler care is good. It seems that quality teachers are leaving due to salary issues. The Administrators are unkind, sometimes unfriendly, and unreasonable. I have also heard parents discussing cases of abuse at the center but Administrators have not been transparent"
"One of the main reasons why we kept our child in La Petite Academy is because of Ms. Walsh. Her loving and nurturing demeanor paired with her experience in raising little ones made me feel comfortable leaving my infant, now toddler, in her care with her peers."
"It's been OK, but is now the same price as center that are exceptional, so why not move to one of those exceptional centers?"
"the new bright wheel app is great."
"LaPetite DC has been great"
"Jessica is a rock star, needs better assistant directors (big gap when Johanna left) Facility badly needs cosmetic upgrade inside looks dated and kind of dirty. Toys need rotation more frequently, lots of destroyed stuff. More toddler playground equipment / area caters to 1-2’sSetup dedicated sales staff, the parents applying don’t get great treatment at pickup/drop off because staff is busy. Reward teachers with more training. Retention incentives. Lots of great loyal staff, give them something to grow."
"My child's relationship with the teachers and its proximity to my job are the main reasons for staying right now. I think we need a school with a more robust curriculum, which we will be looking for."
"Well, I made an appt for a tour, got some info over the phone(tuition price, part-time availability for an infant). I go in for my tour and the info I received over the phone is incorrect ( I wouldnt have made the trip had I known the correct info) and the tuition for there facility is too high for what it looks like(renovate then charge $508/week)! On the way in I saw a child ride backwards on his tricycle hitting his head on the gate and started crying. There were two adults outside and no one ran to tend to the little boy (why was no one paying attention), glad that wasn't my child! If you want a parent to pay these extremely high tuition prices then make sure your staff is looking after our children, after all that is what we pay you to do."
"The teachers and staff are amazing. We were especially fond of the previous assistant director."
"The teachers are the best asset that I have seen in the 2 classrooms we have been a part of. We are very happy with them and recommend the school"
"We were Happy at this location at first but for the reasons detailed above we are currently very unhappy. We do not want to disrupt his education by changing schools but we are looking at other options. Jessica has been unhelpful and unapologetic about the concerns we have raised. And Tiffany has been rude spiteful and unkind."
"my teachers are great but not sure the curriculum is being implemented. the room is too hot and that is unsafe. they need new toys, many are old. staff morale seems quite low in general with several staff being seen acting unprofessionally."
