"One of the worst experience with online purchase. First of all, they sell refurbished product as new. The bare bone (MSI 651)system I received is in white box without any driver software. I submitted a RMA, no response in three days. I called them to find out why, this tech support guy Lynn Bosch said he had been too busy, would do research and get back to me soon. A week later, still no response. So I called again, Mr. Bosch said that he would get the CD from another box for me. One week later, nothing was received. Then he told me that the entire batch they received from their supplier did not have software. He said that he would order it from the manufacturer. One week later, nothing came. So I told him that just give me the the RMA. Mr. Bosch said he already mailed it and should arrive any day. Well, that was a week ago but nothing happened. I am returning the useless system back to them regardless of RMA. I am ready to fight them through my credit card company.

This company is dishonest. Stay away or prepare to deal with a lot of hassles.

"Bought a refurbished monitor from them recently. When entering my credit card number in the web order form, I left out a digit by mistake. While I think their web form should have caught this, their customer service/billing department did call me quickly to inform me of the error and to get the correct number. Their shipping was prompt and I have no complaints with them. I'd buy from them again at this point."

"I was very pleased with my transaction. I bought a 10" 150-watt JBL subwoofer for $155 (best buy and others had it listed at $399) - it arrived on my doorstep in 4-days in pristine condition (item was new from everything I could see), I plugged it in and it sounds great! "Sold me an open box/used mp3 player after i waited 2 weeks for the delivery. On trying to get this issue clearedthey told me to 1)call back 2)bounced me from person to person waiting 20-30 mins in between. Put in for an rma... another 2 weeks for an rma number no telling how long it will take for them to send it back.
Ill never buy from them again.

"Purchased a Minolta PagePro 1250 mainly due to the great price, which included a $70 rebate from Minolta. Approx. 3 weeks after it was received, we experienced technical problems. We contacted Minolta, who originally refused to service this machine as it was flagged as "stolen". Minolta then agreed to service the printer, but refused to process the rebate. Legend has pushed us around from person to person who no good answers as to how they ended up with stolen inventory or what to do about the rebate. They are also questioning whether they will allow us to return the printer. As of Nov 17, 2003, we are still trying to resolve this matter. AVOID LEGEND MICRO"

"The printer I ordered arrived DOA- no power at all. I sent in a request for RMA via their website and got no response. I sent an e-mail with no response either. Finally, I called and talked to Lynn. He said that he would get to the RMA's soon. A couple days pass and still no response. I called again and he said that he would get to them soon. I pressed him to just RMA it over the phone and he replied 'well you've had it for nearly two weeks- send the printer to HP for repair!' I told him that I ordered a new printer and expected it to work. Besides that, if they would have RMA'd it promtply ith wouldn't have been nearly 2 weeks. I did sent it back to them (at my shipping expense) and they did send a brand new printer."

"UPDATE 11/10: To Lynn's credit he finally resolved all the outstanding issues with this order. I'm sure he's conscientious but isn't getting much help from the other departments in this company.

August 12th bought eight Intel D865GLCL motherboards. Three failed. Called 8/22 and got an RMA:

1) RMA sent 8/22
2) Called 9/02: Lynn said "In RMA dept. and approved for replacement."
3) Called 9/09: Lynn said "I'll send RMA an email…don't see whether it shipped…will call 'ya tomorrow" (no call that day...nor any day)
4) Called 9/15: Lynn said "Should get the boards from Intel no later than 9/17 and will ship out that day and I'll call you with shipping information" (no call that day)
5) Called 9/22: Lynn said "Will check into it and call back today". (no call that day)
I said "Issue me a credit for the three boards"
Lynn said "no can do".
I said "Call today with shipping information or I'll dispute with CC company." and that's what I had to do.

Update 9/26: Right after my 9/22 call (and after I had posted this rating)I got an email promising the boards "this weekend or
(depending on Fed Ex Deliver Person) Monday at the latest". It's Friday, 9/26 and guess what? No boards!

Each time I talked to RMA, Lynn seemed clueless to the situation and put me on long, long holds while he checked the status. Either this guy is totally out of the loop or Legend Micro is hopelessly chaotic. In any case, It's the last order I'll place with them..

"The initial shipping went w/o a hitch, unfortunatelly, the product shipped had an intermitentlly acting defect. The problem was reported, RMA obtained, deffective item returned AND RECEIVED. It is here when things went to hell. The replaement sent was not only FILTHY and musty smelling, but it was DOA (dead on arrival). The problem was reported to Lynn just 2 hours after receipt & test of deffective replacement. It has now been close to THREE WEEKS since then, and contrary to statements that a call tag for pick of the deffective item has been issued on 8/12, I never received a replacement, nor FedEx ever picked up the dud replacement. Horrible, horrible service. Just horrible.

UPDATE 02/11/04: the aforedescribed "experience" was eventually resolved .... but only once I contacted the Ohio State's Attorney Office (via their web site which was a breeze), step I STRONGLY urge be taken by anyone having problems with these clowns. It was only then that I got my refund instead of the run around. You best take your business elsewhere.

"I just wanted to throw something into the ring here. Legendmicro also sells on ebay under the handle "pcgadgets." I purchased a Samsung SyncMaster 700IFT from pcgadgets, whose rating is currently 1194, with a total of 13 negatives (not bad at all). I was EXTREMELY pleased with the transaction. It was shipped the next day and arrived fast via Fedex. It was an AWESOME deal: I got this monitor for $129 plus shipping. The cheapest I could find it elsewhere online was $240!! Its brand new, its clean, clear, and bright. Awesome. Very pleased."

"Terrible company, you have been warned. Look under BBB and see how many complaints and how many different names this company uses. RMA form online is non-existant. Tech support talks to you once then won't take further calls. Emails are ignored. I had to get State Attorney Generals office involved to get any response. Do not deal with Legend Micro."

"Great company! I was not able to track my order, but that wasn't a problem, I placed my order late in the day and was shocked to find it delivered 4 days later! (I had it sent via ground.) I will continue to patronize them.

I found them through pricewatch.com, they had listed a price for the power supply and shipping that was below the price on their website. I mentioned this in the comment field and they matched the pricewatch price without any problems.
