From the first contact they have been helpful and informative.

I hired a Nikon 24-70 f2.8 lens primarily for a wedding but I also had the opportunity to use it for two studio sessions and a rock concert in the week I had it. The lens was exceptionally well packaged and in excellent condition. It came with an instruction manual and a UV filter.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that with Lenses for Hire you really do get a full week to use the lens. You can have the lens sent to you or pick it up in person. You can return the lens by post, in person or by dropping it at Mail Boxes etc. in town.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Lenses for Hire and will definitely be using them again.

Another great point of the company is they treat you like a human being with common sense, they trust you with their equipment so don't need deposits and for people like me that cant slap down a credit card with a £5k limit to cover it like other sites require. I did take out their insurance which is very comprehensive and thankfully didn't have to use it! but it was nice to have it all in one package not having to waste any time to sort this out on-top.

For what its worth, i thought the prices were extremely reasonable and Im a student on a tight budget.

Anyway, The Equipment

I ordered several lenses,
10-22mm EFS
24-105mm F4
70-200 IS L 2.8

All were in great condition, with genuine hoods, not overlooking the fact that they had good quality cases for me to keep them safe, which meant i didn't need a pro camera bag. They all worked perfectly and when i took a picture i got what i wanted.

Quick Lens Reviews:

On my travels round new york I had all these lenses, a 50D with battery grip and a few other items and my bag was HEAVY!! but i wouldn't sacrifice the weight for the quality and versatility these lenses gave me!

The 24-105 was perhaps most useful (as expected) and on my camera most, it gave great natural looking images and that extra top-end 35mm over the 24-70 really makes a difference for not having to change lens every 5 mins, sadly i couldnt help but wonder what the 24-70 2.8 would have been like, its such a hard decision between both lenses!! My decision was based on IS and extra range as i was abroad.

When you want a great bokeh or to really highlight something you cant do without the 70-200. It was my favourite lens to use, and i got some great shots on top of the empire state. I wish i had time to test it in studio to see it full potential, and trust me when i say the IS works, i was shooting the skyline handheld at 2.8 1/30th sec at night in the cold so my hands weren't steady but i still ended up with getting good quality photo's.

The 10-22 is limited in its uses but does produce awesome looking photo's in the day especially if theres a large focal point (which in new york isnt a tough find!!) I didnt really have much use out of this at night but thats not to say wouldn't be effective.

Needless to say if i need a lens for a project i will definitely be coming to lenses for hire."

"I ordered a Sigma 50mm for my Nikon on the Tuesday for use starting that Friday. Very good communications via email.

Delivery arrived the day before I needed it (as is their policy) very well packaged and ready to return. Paperwork was clear and included instructions. Lens was in perfect condition optically, other than an aesthetic scrape on the lens hood, which shouldn't bother anyone.
Return was easy, I had paid for courier delivery and return. Phone day of collection, took 2 minutes.
