I placed my order late on a Tuesday evening, and received a personal confirmation e-mail at 00:15 on Wednesday, and another confirming dispatch on Wednesday morning. This was looking good so far.

The lens itself arrived on Thursday morning, even though my hire period didn't start until Friday. It was securely packaged, with great padding and I couldn't see a mark on it that might have suggested it had been used before. It was immaculate.

"I hired a 70-200 f2.8 L IS from lensesforhire for the long Easter weekend. Thought I'd write a quick review on the service I received.

Placed the order on Wednesday afternoon, through the easy to use website. Lense arrived at my work on Thursday morning. The lense was extremely well packed, in hard foam and it's original carry bag. The lense itself looked brand new, and was in excellent working order. Communication during ordering was first class and extremely quick.

Sadly, the time came this morning to return the lense. The drop off in London was as hassle free as the courier delivery on Thursday.

Excellent support via email and phone, very flexible shipping options (collection in person was best for me and went very smoothly) and outstanding prices. The packaging in the box was superb, the instructions were helpful and concise, and there was even a return address label included in the box for the return shipping!

I also like the variable hire period - you aren't stuck with a lens for a whole week if you only want it for a weekend ... and they are very fair in ensuring you have the lens for the full hire period, eg. hire it for 3 days and you will have the lens for *at least* 72 hours. Superb!
