"Summary: the battery for the white polycarbonate MacBook was electrically excellent, physically barely acceptable, priced very well, and delivered very fast, and I'd probably get the same again if I didn't want to pay double to Apple for a better fit.

The free shipping arrived in under a week. The battery was very well packaged. The state of charge was the proper 50% and, I discovered after calibrating, had already been properly calibrated. A full charge lasted me 7 hours (my drive is an SSD), possibly better than the original Apple. And I see no reason its quality Sanyo cells won't yield the same 5 years of careful service.

The fit was a bit disappointing though. The corners don't have quite the correct radius, although that's just cosmetic. More critically, the end with the lights sits too deep, the end near the lock sits too high, and the battery appears to bow out slightly in the middle, so that 3 battery edges and 1 MacBook case edge are exposed to catching dirt and knicks. However I was able get the lock-end to sit flush and reduce somewhat the effect of the bowing by shimming the lower edges of the two lock slots on the battery with a few layers of tape, and I can live with that for the electrical quality and price. Still, I'm constantly astounded how unsuccessful 3rd-parties are at reproducing physical dimensions and tolerances. It's not rocket-science."
