"Their return process is very simple but there are flaws. I will explain those in a bit. My advice is don't purchase anything you "think" you might want to return. The fabric, weight, build and design of each dress I purchased was everything the site stated it was. I recommend reading reviews but only take them with a grain of salt. Some reviewers will tell you the item runs small or large. Unfortunately, if they don't include a photo, you can't tell if it will work for you. I took advice on an item they said runs small. I ordered it one size larger than I normally wear and it was too big. Always, always read the body measurements, then choose a size. Also, I should have paid closer attention to the fabric of the same dress. Comparing my measurements to the sizing chart, I got a little nervous since my bust was 1.5" larger than the chart (that's what made me order the next size up). If I had paid closer attention to the type of fabric and cut of the dress, I would have realized that I should have bought my normal size. Most fabrics have a little give but add that to a looser cut and I would have had the perfect sized dress. Now I have to have it altered.
If you have to return something via international shipping, prepare for an expense that is not worth it. Example: I purchased 3 dresses (1-$45, 1-$42, 1-$12). My shopping total was $99 before tax and shipping (which you don't get tax or shipping refunded). Their website states it will cost you $10-$40 to return via USPS but I believe that dollar amount is per item since it was going to cost me approx. $75 to return these items. Ummm, no! I did choose to contact the company within 3 days of receiving my items and asked what some of my other options were. After a few emails back and forth with Nora, I am receiving $60 back to my credit card and keeping the items. Some of you will turn your nose up at this but the way I look at it is I have 3 dresses for $39. It will cost me about $12 to alter 1 dress to fit me properly and the other 2 dresses I plan to donate to a local women's shelter. In my mind this is a win, win, win situation. "
"In June, I purchased a shirt for my sister who happens to be very ill. I thought that a glittery shirt would cheer her up. The shirt was running late for its expected delivery date. I made an inquiry about the matter with customer service and Javier took an interest in helping me. He tracked the shirt down and discovered it had been held up for weeks in LAX customs. Thanks to Javier's tenacity, it was finally delivered to my sister mid July and it was a real hit. I was a little disappointed that the shirt is not sparkly at all (like it appears in the LightintheBox ad). I know I have to be one customer among a kazillion, but Javier gave me top priority attention and was steadfast in fixing the issue. I appreciate his professionalism, courtesy, and kindness. At the end of the day, my sister was pleased, so it's all good and was worth the wait to see her smile."
