"Dealing with customer service at this company is a lost cause. I have the names of the three customer service representatives that I contacted. I was promised overnight shipping of the item but when I received the fedex shipping information I will not receive this item until 12/29/17. I should have done better research on this company and read the reviews. I always associated Lillian Vernon as a great american company. But as I found out there customer service number is located in the Philippines?? shocker. Please don't buy any product from this company how they stay in business is a mystery. Shipping costs are outrageous. Please research any company online before you purchase I have learned my lesson."
"I will never order from this company again. 1) The personalized Christmas ornaments I ordered were junk. They were poor quality and the ink was faded and slightly fuzzy. 2) Shipping fees are outrageous. I ordered 3 ornaments that weighed about 2 oz. total. The were placed in some bubble wrap and stuck in an envelope. For this I was charged $18.00. 3) The shipping dates are misleading. I ordered all of my ornaments at the same time on December 7th. One arrived within a week. One is due today, which would be 11 days from order. The third hasn't even shipped yet! So that one won't be here by Christmas. They give you no estimate about "processing" time when you order. In summary: bad quality, overpriced, misleading ship times. "

"Lillian Vernon is one of the worst companies I've dealt with in a very long time. I ordered a cutting board for some clients and the board they received was completely wrong. When I contacted Lillian Vernon they said that it is pre-printed that way so it was my fault and there was nothing they could do about it. I explained to them that in my profession I would have many future orders for them and would like them to simply replace this board with the correct version which is what any decent company would do. After speaking with her manager, the best they could do is wave the shipping on the new board. At first I agreed but then they told me the text I wanted on it wouldn't fit. So with a shortened version it was going to cost me almost $40 for the new board. I will never buy from this company again and advise everyone to do the same or at least read ALL the fine print of your order before submitting because you will not get a refund."

"I wanted to place an order for 3 items. The shipping was $4.98. I entered my credit card information, though I didn't see a confirmation number, I thought the order was done. About a half hour later, I received an email saying the items were still in my cart. I went back online and saw the items still in the cart, but now the shipping was $17.98! I didn't change anything, it was not after midnight so whatever promo they had going was still in effect. i did not enter any promo or coupon codes. I tried to contact the live chat - not available. The next day I tried again and I am told that I can look online for a promo code, but they can do nothing about the cost of the shipping. What? First off, they should be able to see the items were in the cart for what amount of time AND that they had my credit card information. There are plenty of places that have this type of merchandise, I will shop elsewhere. I am actually happy I found this site since I now see the quality of the merchandise is below par, this saved me further grief."
"There's a difference between, not ordering something if you need it right away, and it taking 45 days for my item to even ship.
Nowhere on my order, nor my confirmation email was it stated that my order would take 4+
weeks to get to me. It clearly stated- ALLOW SIX BUSINESS DAYS FOR ALL IN STOCK ITEMS. My order not labeled, "Out of Stock.." So, where was my warning that if I ordered something on 4/15, it wouldn't get to me until 5/27?
There is a true lack in communication with this company. This wouldn't have NOT been ordered, and I didn't need it in one week, or even two weeks (right away), I simply needed it a month out from my order date.

As mentioned before, there is no shipping notification so you never know when the item is shipped and you can't track it."

Even recieved a card in mail stating the date my order would be recieved... Never even had in it stock. Ridiculous!"
"I ordered from this store, was not informed that one item was out until I finished the purchase, so I canceled. I reordered a bead kit. Both orders still show as being processed. The call center people are extremely polite, but they can't help with shipping. I have no way to know if I will receive this or not, my last order now says it is a past order and shipped.
I am very dissatisfied. I will never order from this place again. Even small companies provide tracking numbers.
In all the years of online purchasing this has been my first bad experience. My guaranteed delivery of the 23rd is now past, and no sign of the bead kit. There isn't even a contact you can depend on to get real time information.

"Lillian Vernon has serious problems with their inventory and ability to provide an order status. I ordered four items, all in stock and ready to ship. Two weeks later, the web site says all four are still being prepared for shipping. At the same time, I receive a card that one is no longer available. Which is it - in stock, shipping, or not available? When I called to cancel the others that are being "prepared for shipping" I am told I cannot cancel, because they are already shipped. Again, which is it? I suspect they have no idea. Avoid counting on getting any accurate information from LV."
