"lnt.com has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a duvet on 9/12/10. The money was taken out of paypal that day. The order wasn't shipped until 9 days later. The color was not as described so I got a return authorization and returned it on 10/10/10. Today is 11/05/10 and I still haven't received a refund. I can't even get an email response to my inquiries to lnt.com. They've had my money almost 2 months. This is the worst business dealing I have ever had. Will never use lnt.com again and would suggest the same to all consumers!"

"LNT has the worst customer service I've ever encountered -- it's practically non-existent. I ordered a car seat from LNT because they had the best price online. The item was listed as in-stock when I placed my order. After 3 days I still had not recieved any shipping information, so I tried to contact LNT to check on the status of my order. I prefer to call for these type of inquiries, but after searching and searching the website, I finally realized they had NO phone number listed. So I send an email to customer service, but never heard back. So after 2 more days, I sent another email again requesting information on the status of my order/shipment. Nothing. So 7 days after I placed my order, I sent yet another email (remember, no phone number) requesting my order be canceled. Only 5 minutes later, I recived an email stating LNT had "submitted your cancellation request to the supplier". An hour and 20 minutes later I recieved the shipping information, followed an hour and a half later with an email from LNT confirming shipment, and then another email from LNT an hour after that stating that they could not cancel my order because it had already shipped. LNT then instructed me to refuse delivery of the item if I didn't want to be charged. I did and UPS returned the item to LNT. I ended up purchasing the item from another retailer for a little bit more, but I recieved shipping information within 24 hours and it was delivered less than 2 days later -- definitely worth the extra money. AND the other retailer has a customer service phone number (which I never had to use because the service was spectactular). I will never order from LNT again."

"Avoid lnt.com! As with many customer "service" nightmares, this one began with a desire to save money. Lnt.com was offering the chandelier I wanted at a $35 discount, and it was back-ordered everywhere else. After doing some research and finding out that the web site was apparently different from the defunct Linens n' Things store, I went ahead and ordered.

My credit card was charged on 4/21, and I received an auto-confirm e-mail. According to the web site, items could take 7-14 business days to ship, so I wasn't too annoyed until two or three weeks went by with no word. I sent a "hey, where's my stuff" e-mail through the form on their web site and received... silence.

After a couple more days, I sent another e-mail, this time threatening to dispute the credit card charge and report the site to the BBB. This elicited a response (on May 7) that they had "spoken with the supplier and they have notified me that your order is shipping today or tomorrow at the latest." Needless to say, the next day was not the shipping date. When lnt.com finally sent me a ship confirmation e-mail on May 12, it had no tracking number (I had to extort it from them with another threat to dispute the CC charge).

So. May 20, and a package is FINALLY at my door. My saga is over, right? Well, the box DID contain a chandelier. It just wasn't the one I ordered. Similar, but not the same.

I e-mailed lnt.com one more time with a request for them to make it right (I had previously tried calling, and gotten voicemail). Of course, at this point an exchange was problematic, since I wasn't going to send them the wrong package back and trust that the right one would ever arrive. Nor could I believe that they would give me my money back without lawyers getting involved. And of course, discounts on future lnt.com purchases would be useless to me. To my resounding non-surprise, I have not heard back from them.

P.S.: I e-mailed the original supplier of the chandelier to see if they could do anything for me, and apparently lnt.com is not one of their authorized retailers; they sell the company's products through an arrangement with a middleman.

"This was absolutely the WORST online transaction I've ever made. I make about 5 online purchases a month, and this one was deplorable. A week after I placed my order, I had not received a shipping confirmation. I followed up and called the "contact us" number. No one answered for 3 business days even though I was calling during their published business hours. I sent an email requesting a status update. That was 8 days ago; I still have not received a response. Finally on my 4th day of calling the contact number, someone answered. She had no answers at all, and it sounded like she was at home in her own bathroom. She said she would contact the supplier. I told her if it didn't ship that day, I would like to cancel the order (this was 7 business days after I placed it). She told me she would email me the supplier's response. 36 hours later, I still had no email or voicemail with an update. I tried again to call the contact number, and no one answered all day long. The following day, I finally spoke with a rep and confirmed the cancelation of my order. THE NEXT DAY THEY SHIPPED MY ORDER, one day shy of 2 weeks waiting. The order was a gift, and I could not return it once it shipped. Furthermore, they left the tracking number field blank on the shipment confirmation email. Did they even really ship it? And they sent me 3 copies of that email. I am appalled that a huge brand like LNT cannot get their act together and provide any amount of customer service. The two times I actually got a rep on the phone, they were unprofessional, unknowledgeable, and it sounded like I called someone's residence. Totally unacceptable. Please do not subject yourself to LNT.com! Pay the extra couple dollars and go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond! LNT went out of business for a reason; there is nothing "new" about this website."

I ordered Rachael Ray Pro Ultra 11 Piece set and paid $45.00 for expedited shipping in 3-4 business days. The order was placed on Dec. 17 and received on Dec. 29. The expedited shipping takes 10 business days!

"My experience is similar to sean20904's in that I ordered the mattress pad, but for home delivery, expecting two free pillows. When they did not arrive with the pad, I called LNT to ask why. They said that it clearly stated "while supplies last" and they ran out. I contend that if they had any kind of inventory control system it would have told me when I ordered that they were out of the free pillows. I am keeping the mattress pad to keep from dealing with the return process but I will never order from them again and probably will never enter their store. I will also warn everyone I know."

"I ordered a mattress pad which was supposed to come with two free pillows as advertised both in-store and online on Friday morning, received pickup confirmation e-mail Friday afternoon and went for an in-store pickup that evening. I handed in my pickup confirmation e-mail, CC's last 4 digits and waited 10 minutes. When the CSR finally made a call to the back for someone to bring out the pad. I asked if it came with the 2 free pillows, but was bluntly told that they ran out. As I was standing there, there was a basket next to me piled up with dozens of pillows. She offered no apology or substitutes. So I asked her to cancel my order and 2 days later I found online that my order was still active and my CC was still charged. So I e-mailed LNT asking them to cancel my order and I have not gotten a reply after 2 days. I've had great experiences doing in-store pickup from other merchants, e.g. Sears, CircuitCity, BestBuy just to name a few. LNT's in-store pickup process is the slowest and the CSR also gave me the impression that she did not welcome in-store pickups. LNT also does not follow their own advertisement. Do not, I repeat, do not buy anything for in-store pickup at LNT. Better yet just do not order anything from LNT at all. Save yourself the time and trouble."

"Bought a wall rack online for a fair price. When it was delivered, the outside box was in perfect shape but the plastic box that the rack was in was tapped up and the rack itself was damaged in three places. It was REALLY bad. Took it back to the store for refund.
Bought some slippers last month and when they were delivered, they had been worn. They are in the trash now. Not worth driving to the store.

"Chose the in store pick up option. Website showed the OXO turntable was available. When I went to pick up my order they gave me a different turntable. Even the UPC code didn't match they claimed what I bought was what they gave me since they didn't carry the OXO brand in store. I ended up paying an additional $7 from their mistake for a POS turntable. This whole ordeal took a whole hour. I though in store pick up would be in and out at most 10 minutes but just initially picking it up took 20 minutes, mostly had to wait for them to find the items and bring it up front, then the whole mixup took an additional 40 minutes to sort through."

"They had an air-o-swiss humidifier at a very good price. I was a bit "trepidacious" (as my friends in VT say) due to the low rating - but the gist of the dissatisfied ratings seem to be "they lost my order" or "they canceled my order" so I figured I was taking a chance on not actually having the order complete - so I took a chance.
Everything went *very* smoothly.
Email notifications of order accepted and order shipped. Order tracking worked fine. Item showed up on schedule and was exactly as described.

"I will never place an online order with LNT again! My orders had items cancelled because, although the website shows them instock, they are unavailable. After having one item cancelled off my first order, I called to have customer service specifically check availability before placing my order 5 minutes later, and it still got cancelled. Customer service is sadly uninformed, and the number of times I was told "sorry" doesn't actually fix anything.
Of the stuff that did arrive, my sheet set was omitted (I'm currently awaiting a credit, fingers crossed), and my matching towel sets VERY obviously come from different dye lots. I hope they tell the truth that I can return online items to my local store.
