"Worst company ever! Bought a vacuum by following the link in their advertisement email and used a coupon from the same email. Now they tell me there is no way I can get my $100 rebate they promised in the email because I used a coupon from the same email, which saved me $40.

"They canceled the order after it's been there for 19 days. I pass some good deals because I expect them to responsible for that order, they dont even offer you similiar or better valued subtitute. When I look at other people review, they complaints about the same thing, L&T kept on canceling their orders.

"Order 8 items in a total of $46 including tax and shipping before coupon ($40 after 20% off coupon). It turned out that 2 items (with a value of $22 before coupon, same below) were delivered and I am charged for $34.08, while I am informed via email this morning that 4 items (with a value of $15) were cancelled today and 2 items (with a value of $9) are still in back order.
Now less than 50% of goods in value ($22/$46) have been delivered and I'm already charged for 85% ($34/$40) of the total I agreed to pay.
It looks to me like bite-and-switch. It's totally unacceptable. I'm contacting them. I think the best I can get is to ask me to return items I received to their local store (7 miles away) and I still need to fight for the refund of shipping. It will be a waste of time no matter what.
I also agree with the thing mentioned by a reviewer below: instead of just saying item not available, they would remove item totally from their website just like nothing has ever happened, regardless of the item might be in back-order or dispute."
"Bad order processing system; Unreliable; Less friendly
The item that I ordered was shown clearly to be available to pick up in one of the local stores I chose (the website offers ways to check availability). A couple of days later I got a cancellation notice, saying it was out of stock. Have no idea how their system works, but it is definitely a bad experience, considering the time and effort I made in placing the order.
CSR offered apologies, but was not helpful at all.
Definitely will not waste my time here, esp. after reading other reviews in which people got cancellation for five times.

"I recently order I thought was a comforter. The product detail said "This exquisite 100% dupioni silk comforter features elegant rope trim for added fashion. Filled with 100% bonded, extra soft polyester. Comfort and sham reverse fabric is 100% comfortable, breathable cotton" but what I received was a bed skirt. I called customer service and they told me that I order part of a set but not the whole set. I told her I did print screen what I order and read her what the product detail were, but they told me the product is no longer in the system and nothing they can do."

"I purchased two mattress covers from Linens N Things' website on January 14th. It was a great "buy one, get one half price" sale, and I used an online coupon for free shipping. I received immediate confirmation of the order. The very next day I received shipping confirmation, and received the covers well-packaged and in a very timely manner.
All was great except that I wanted covers that were all cotton with zero padding. From the description on the site, this is what I thought I had ordered. Problem was, the covers had eight ounces of padding, so I had to send them back. I checked the item numbers and they matched what I had ordered. But the site said NOTHING about padding of any kind.
I must say that it was very easy to return the covers. The package came with a return slip and clear instructions for returning the items within 60 days for a full refund. Which is what I did. I had to pay a bit over $8 for returning the covers.
So I would say that my online buying experience with LNT was excellent. The problem was that the description of the covers was mis-leading, though not intentional I feel sure.
My hope is that LNT will provide a fuller and more accurate description of their online items. Know this and ask questions before you buy."
"We purchased 7 area rugs and a vaccum cleaner online through their website. The vaccum arrived in a seperate box. As we opened the box to assemble it, a cloud of dust billowed out of the box into our faces. Not only was the bag full of dirt and the actual box it came in ripped up and obviously opened, but the vaccum itself was scuffed up and marred as if it was used in one of their stores as a display or something. We are completely amazed that this company has no sort of quality control in their shipping department. How in the world do you send a customer a vaccum FULL of dirt and dust. We were so disgusted with this that we returned all 7 items to our closest store in Aventura Florida only to be belittled by the store manager Steve Martinez as if we had used it and then returned it. As I was explaining it he wouldn't even give me eye contact. He walked away mumbling and made some little noise while throwing his hands up in the air.
We were not intending to return all of the rugs as they matched our decor perfectly and we understood that this store did not make the mistake. But his attitude towards us and complete lack of concern completely enraged me.
Now I FULLY understand why this company has filed for Chapter 11. With customer service like this, you are destined to FAIL.
LNT.com recieves my rating of F-. And the Aventura Florida store manager should be REMOVED."
"Every order I place, they cancel. This has happed five times. Count them, FIVE TIMES! Also, they offer no explanation for canceling my order.
Customer care is impossible to reach. The email address that supposedly reaches the vice president of the customer care is invalid.
Bottom line is, if your order goes through, then youre fine. But if you have problems, don't expect any help at all from these clowns."
"You won't believe me even when i tell you this. We purchased a comforter set as a gift for my sister in law. When we went to tear off the price tag, we noticed that there was another one under it. After peeling off the sale tage, the tag under it was a lower price. If that wasn't bad enough, we had used the 20% coupon and still ended up paying more. This was not a lolly gagging few mere pennies we all stress over on the internet because it's so easy to but we payed twelve dollars more on an eighty dollar item. We talked to the manager, they would not give us the lower price but offered to give us a twenty percent discount on the higher price. Not only was it ridiculous the manager stood behind the scam, but that she didn't even care to look at our reciept to see that we had already used it. We had to keep it because the birthday party was that evening. Buyer beware, you can't trust even the big guys anymore."
"I purchased 3 items in one order on Oct 26, 2004 -- Electric kettle, Dyson vacuum and a can opener. Was a good deal because of an LNT.com coupon which gave 20% off and free shipping. The free shipping was classified as "ground shipping". I was given shipping notification via email the next day (oct 26) and was quoted by USPS that "expected in home date is 11/03/2004". I received 2 of the 3 items on 11/9 which was 6 days after the quoted date, and 14 days from my original order. Bad news is that I still haven't received the vacuum cleaner and it's currently 11/12/2004 (17 days!).
I called their customer support 1-800 # (which is 24 hrs btw) and they told me that it's not their fault and they blamed USPS. They also claim that this wouldn't happen if I chose a faster shipping method.
Poor customer service, extremely slow shipping. I should've just ordered off amazon.com and paid a bit more. At least I would be sure I would have received the merchandise in a timely fashion. "
