"Ordered an OEM part online for delivery. OC Subaru was very prompt, sent emails to update me, and my part arrived earlier than expected! It was exactly the right part. I was really impressed with the service."
"Order was supposed to ship at least a week ago, no contact or response from dealership at all regarding the situation. 0/5 would not recommend. Disappointed I wasted my money buying a part I don't think I'll be receiving
"
"parking is overcrowded. part department is in the low level. street parking is available sometimes."
"I ordered a replacement cup holder for my Forester on Lithia's website. The price was competitive compared with other online Subaru parts dealers, the item was correct and it arrived quickly. I'll definitely buy from them next time I need parts."
"Our experience with Lithia Subaru was the worst car buying experience we've ever had! Before heading to the dealership, our email correspondence was great. They were knowledgable & helpful. Buying a car during COVID, we cared about safety protocols at the dealership: Lithia didn’t see to have any (we were at a different dealership the day before and they took so many important measures - it felt so much safer there). A few employees had masks on at Lithia, but there was clearly no policy. There was no sanitizer (their “COVID station” was a container of bleach wipes), and people were not keeping distance. At one point, a mask-less employee sneezed (without covering) 4 feet from us.
After the test drive, we expressed concern about the condition of the tires. We were happy to split the cost of new tires, but Lithia wouldn’t budge. The tires have visible bulges and cuts in the sidewall; an issue that we’ll have to pay out of pocket for in the next few weeks, as we don’t feel safe driving on damaged tires.
One we were ready to purchase, they showed us the price we saw online, but then added in several line items we were not expecting. The car was advertised as a Certified Preowned car, but the “out the door price” was several hundred more than advertised. He told us we needed to purchase the certification from Lithia in order to have the car be certified. After not offering clarity beyond, “That’s just how it works.”, I looked it up later and realized it could be an FTC to sell a car above the advertised price. Nowhere on the website or listing did it say the certification was extra. In fact, the CarFax report listed the car as Certified before Lithia took ownership of it. We told the salesperson that was a dealbreaker for us, and he said he’d include the Certificate for free.
When given the option to add warranties, we did choose the lifetime oil plan but turned down all other warranty add-ons because there was no paperwork shown to us that disclosed the terms of each warranty. They told us to purchase the $2,200 bumper to bumper warranty, which would give us 4 new tires, then cancel the warranty after getting the new tires. Not only did this feel confusing (again, we were offered no paperwork to see if this was legal), it also felt dishonest and like a decision we were being pressured into. We felt extremely uncomfortable with this suggestion. Not only was it confusing thinking about canceling a warranty and how it would affect our financing, but since they felt the need to whisper the idea to us, it seemed like he was suggesting something illegal.
The transaction took much longer than we were told it would. One of us had to leave the dealership to relieve our babysitter, and the other moved on to financing. As soon as the finance person was told we weren’t adding warranties or extras, the mood shifted. There was confusion about our down payment and the amount we’d be financing. We brought our checkbook, but then we were told we had to come back the next day with a cashiers check. There were also issues with the interest rate: the rate we were approved for was only offered if we agreed to add warranties we didn’t want. This resulted in us having to completely re-run the numbers and re-do paperwork the next day. It was super stressful. Upon signing everything, the finance person walked out with the keys and didn’t even say “congrats” or “thank you”.
When we got the car home, we saw that the “detail and clean” we were promised while we did paperwork equaled a rinse. The back wheel wells were caked with mud and the interior wasn’t touched. We regret purchasing this car from Lithia, as nearly no part of the experience went as expected.
A few days after everything was settled, I reached out to the dealership management to give feedback and give them the opportunity to make things right (like the original tire deal and/or full detail of the car). The manager made excuses and didn’t offer to change anything.
We did have a choice of dealership, and we were so disappointed after our experience with Lithia. We were stressed about the paperwork issue, we are disappointed about the damaged tires that we have to shell out hundreds for, and felt uncomfortable with employees who seemed annoyed with us and tried pressuring us into programs/add-ons we weren’t interested in. We will never be shopping with Lithia again."
"perfect customer service."
"Good experience ordering parts and having them arrive quick. Quality parts. "
"I typically don't provide reviews, but in this case, it seems justified. I have had bad experiences with online orders at other dealers, most notably Honda dealers but also with one local Subaru dealer. A friend of mine has had issues with online orders placed with other Subaru dealers as well. It seems that online orders at other dealers aren't given much attention. For whatever reason, those online orders just sat until you called and asked what was going on with your order.
I have placed two orders with Lithia Subaru Oregon City. In both cases, once the order was submitted, it was processed and shipped in a timely manner. I got emails providing status, so I knew the order was moving along and not just sitting there waiting for me to call and prod the internet sales guy. Prices are fair. I can find prices a few bucks cheaper at some other places online, but I don't have to be a babysitter and check to make sure the internet sales guy is doing his job. He (or she) just gets 'er done so there's no valuable time lost because someone let the order sit (been there, done that). It's an added bonus that Lithia Subaru Oregon City is not too far from me so I don't have to wait longer for the part to ship from the other side of the country.
I'm hoping to not need more parts for my Subaru. If I do, I'll be ordering from Lithia Oregon City."
"Item was shipped within 48 hours of ordering. Arrived two days later. "
"Never had an issue when ordering parts or servicing my car."
"Received my order in two days. Kept me informed through the process. "
"Great and it came in two days "
"I’m still waiting for the product I ordered and Lithia Subaru already wants the review. Everyone is so concerned about their reviews they actually lack in providing quality, genuine customer service. It’s a sad day and age we live in when we care so greatly on reviews. "
"Had a great experience.
With fast and friendly service. I will be back next time for sure."
"I ordered an accessory for my Subaru online. The price was lower than elsewhere, and no shipping cost if shipped to the dealership. The part was available super fast. "
