"Went to their Arizona store and was "helped" by a young woman that couldn't be more inattentive...kept yawning and saying "don't know why I'm so tired "
After putting up with her nonsense we still purchased an entertainment stand and sectional couch....We received the stand in 2 days and it is poorly constructed and misaligned doors. This was a $750 stand worth maybe $250.
Four weeks later the sectional arrived and refused because our great waste salesperson ordered two left side pieces. It is now a week later and still no credit back to my credit card. Customer service is beyond unhelpful and unfriendly. Don't waste your hard earned money on a product you can buy at 1/3 the price at a discount store"
"First they lied about the 2-3 week delivery and nobody could even estimate how much longer it would be nor did they attempt to find out. It was over 4. Then tried to reschedule the day before due to an emergency and I wasn’t able to be there. Mind you, it wasn’t even loaded on the truck yet. The customer service rep was rude and short. They wanted to charge me $99 to simply reschedule! Would not get a supervisor and was told they would call back because they didn’t know when one would be available. That supervisor NEVER called back. We have purchased 2 bedroom sets and a sectional. NEVER again "
"in April of 2017, we purchased a Waylon Power Dual Loveseat W/Power Headrests/Console/USB for $1834.84. I noticed a while ago, where I lay my head, about the size of a silver dollar, it is peeling like a sunburn. This is supposed to be the highest quality leather. I called Living Spaces and they said if I didn't purchase the warranty, they couldn't help me. Whatever happened to people standing behind their products? Do not shop there. I will never shop there again."
"Bought barstools, 1 broke 4weeks after we got it. They won’t replace, refund or fix it. Give you a phone number to Saw Enterprises, but they won’t answer phone. Have been holding for 2 hrs. "
"Purchased the "TATE II ESTATE SOFA" couch for $795 + tax and delivery.
This is a full length 3 person couch. It was not disclosed to us that the max couch capacity was 300 lbs (3 middle school kids can exceed the Max). Because it was a custom order we could only cancel before 8pm...we purchased at 8:39pm (39min after cut-off). Tried calling local store the next morning, but the company does NOT divulge local store phone numbers. Required to call national headquarters and hopefully transferred to local store. Two hours and 2 disconnects later, the local San Antonio store called me back but would not allow the cancellation of the misrepresented couch w/o paying a 25% restocking fee. Brad, the San Antonio store manager insisted on my paying a $200 restocking fee for a couch built for 3 grown adults but could only support the weight of 3 small adolescent.
NOT DISCLOSED at the store:
1. Max Capacity of Couch: 300 lbs
2. Regardless of location, purchase time reflects: Pacific Standard Time
3. 25% restocking fee after 8pm PST. No Chance of cancellation.
By far the worst customer experience I've ever had."
"I bought a day bed full of bed bugs. No response from them yet. Would never go there again. "
"They have nicely displayed product with the worst sales team ever The female salesperson never gave me any eye contact She acted bored. The only reason I ordered the rug that I did was I liked the rug. Low and behold the rug was promised 3 weeks ago and they never got hold of me. The tracking shows the order cancelled and when I call which I have 3 times no one has any answer what so ever. I will drive to the store now to complain. I would never set foot in this store again. I hardly ever write a bad review. "
"Having the most horrifying experience with Living Spaces. So, I am telling my story and letting everyone I know not to shop there...
We have waited well over 10 weeks for replacement cushions. When your inspector came here way back in March, we were told the cushions would be installed by you. Not so. The delivery company came and dropped them off. NO ONE IS INSTALLING THEM.
This is the worst “customer service” I have ever experienced. We started this process in November, 2018. First hoop was that I "waited too long" to send pictures after the ticket was opened. Then I opened a new ticket and the pictures weren’t clear enough. Then I took new pictures. Then I took them again. Then you finally got back and scheduled an inspector for several weeks out. The inspector came and told us it would be TEN WEEKS to get new cushions, but he would come back and install them.
More than 10 weeks later, cushions delivered with no one to install them. I am about to put this review everywhere! Living Spaces had numerous chances to make this right. Living Spaces failed over and over again."
"I ordered dining table, month previous before receiving it. I had my delivery date changed twice and never notified. Customer service manager wouldn't explain any reason to the change and you wait all day on delivery truck and then call to see where the order is and was postponed again without a phone call or even email "
"I just got off the chat with Livingspaces.com customer service shocked how my conversation went. 2 years ago I purchased Larson platform bed and other furniture. The bedroom set was cheap so I didn't expect much but I paid over 1k for my platform bed itself and expected it to last for at least 5-7 years. I love the design and for that price expected nothing to go wrong with it. Mind you I have chrome furniture and other metal furniture in the house.
1. You must be in the room with the installer crew. These guys were left alone for 10 min while installing the bed since I didn't want to hover over them. I didn't realize until we were moving that they broke one of the bolts, some wood and over drilled a piece. It was very difficult to reinstall it in another home and the board on the back is not sturdy and fully attached to the bed platform because of what they've done.
But the biggest issue came later. It's been 2 years only and the metal platform bed is rusting! Granted we moved closer to the beach but the bed was never outside, I don't open windows in the bedroom but still figured, with a salty air, if they properly treated the metal and ensured to seal the coat well, it wouldn't have rusted just like my chrome furniture is fine.
The bed was never wiped wet during cleanings, the metal has a color sheen and clear coating on it so the rust is literally growing on the metal UNDER the color treatment and you can see it through the clear coat, and the only way to remove it is by taking off whatever they put over the metal. I was shocked when I saw getting under my bed the other day to pull something out.
Tried everything I could at home (from mild home remedies to now waiting on a special rust remover) and unfortunately had to remove the sheen and the clear coat to take off the rust which is very difficult to remove. That rust is under the lacquer and you can see it growing like a spider web, gross looking so will need to remove the lacquer and not sure how else to treat the rest of the legs because you can see those spots now lighter than the rest of the metal, it would technically need to be resurfaced and redone, terrible quality. The bed is ruined is my message.
So I contacted the customer service through chat, the person told me the bed is discontinued (wonder why, oh I know why! :( ) and it's not under the warrantee anymore since it's been 2 years and is there anything else he can help me with. Completely brushed me off leaving me feeling like: well, you can buy our stuff but you can't trust it.
The conclusion is: the furniture looks great, but it's cheap as hell and you will waste your money. Never buy from Livingspaces. I also bought a pull out sofa and an entire bedroom set, had to get rid of it after we slept on that sleeper once. The mattress was sinking, didn't even keep weight of my 2 small nieces, the springs were soft and simply covered by a think fabric. Horrible, sleeping on the floor was more comfortable and that's what we did when family came to visit. The sofa looked great, but the sleeper was impossible. Sadly to say, I recommend to go elsewhere and save $. Livingspaces unfortunately has not lived up to even the lowest expectations. I have products from places like Pottery Barn and West Elm and I have to say, my west elm sofa was pricey, I paid $1700 for it but has been with me for 13? years. I think I got chrome nesting tables from CB2 or something like that, 12 years ago, not cheap but these things last so do the math :-\. Considering what I see, IKEA might be your better option vs. Livingspaces."
"Horrible experience with the product and customer service. Just got off the phone with the corporate general manager Ray. I purchased The Abigail couch manufactured by Jonathan Louis. It was one of the most expensive couches in stock, but we spent the money because we wanted a quality product. Within a few short months of purchasing it the cushions went flat. We contacted the warranty department and the sent out someone to look at them. They, living spaces decided they should have the manufacturer replace the cushions. I got the cushions on 7/18/2018 and they are already flat. I called back Living Spaces and my couch is out of warranty...one month and 7 days to be exact. Apparently there is nothing that they can do. I asked about customer service to the client and they simply applied it is out of warranty there is nothing we can do. We have purchased thousands of dollars of furniture from Living Spaces and there is nothing that they can do. I do not recommend you shop at Living Spaces, they do not sell quality furniture that can withstand even 1 year of use. The manufactures they use Jonathan Louis in my case are not quality either. Again, the couch I purchased was the Abbigail (on the higher price side) made by Jonathan Louis. Do not buy it you will be disappointed and out of luck. "
"Like I said, COMPANY Service NOT Customer Service. Due to a work assignment I was unable to leave work in time to make it home before the scheduled delivery window which began at 1pm. I am a government contractor, and unforeseen circumstances prevented me from leaving the work area on this particular day until a condition could be cleared. Circumstances beyond my control. I called Living Spaces as soon as I was able to let them know and was told that their delivery people were not required to wait, and that they probably would not wait, and that I would either be charged a re-delivery fee if I wanted them to come out and re-deliver or a restocking fee if I wanted to return the item. I asked if they could please contact the driver and ask them to wait for a short time, and that I was on my way and I was trying to get there as fast as I could. I was told that under no circumstances would they wait for me to arrive, and that I had signed a contractual obligation when I PAID THEM for the couch AND the delivery, that required me to be at my residence between the hours of 1pm and 4pm on 8/16/2018. I arrived at my residence at exactly 1:21pm, and they had already left at 1:18pm, I'm pretty sure I saw their truck leaving at the stop light by my driveway. The customer service rep AND her manager were extremely condescending when they told me that I had violated the delivery contract and so there was nothing more they could do for me at this point except collect either a re-delivery fee or a restocking fee. I made every effort to communicate with them and to arrive home in time, I used my own leave from work to be there, and they are essentially telling me "sorry about your luck, we don't really care, and we are going to charge you $220 for a piece of furniture we ATTEMPTED to deliver to you." I don't believe waiting for an extra 6 minutes past their required 15 minutes would have caused them to exceed their 3 hour delivery window with ANY of their remaining deliveries, which is the excuse I was given as to why they refused to wait. I feel like they were intentionally trying to be difficult and unhelpful to me while making sure that NO company policies were violated in any way. They made sure I knew that I was talking to corporate and that there was absolutely no one else at Living Spaces who knew or cared about my situation. I had filed this complaint, in part, hoping that Living Spaces would do something about their customer service and their inflexible company policies so this doesn't happen to anyone else. However, it appears that they stand by their pathetic attempts at customer service. I have filed a BBB complaint and they are refusing to refund my money in full. I personally will NEVER purchase anything from Living spaces again and since they are charging me a $99 delivery fee and a $120 "restocking fee" (whatever that means) I will make sure that the loss of my business and the business of everyone I know will have a much more financially significant impact on Living Spaces than their fees do on me. Living spaces is one of THOUSANDS of furniture stores, there is NOTHING special or unique about them that I can't get anywhere else. I hope they enjoy the $220 they stole from me, I hope it is worth that $220 to lose thousands of dollars in business. FYI it isn't. These inflexible company policies and poor customer service management and employees is why thousands of retail companies go out of business every year."
"
I PAID FOR A BEDROOM SET AT THE MONROVIA CALIFORNIA STORE WITH A SCHEDULED DATE TO DELIVER MY FURNITURE TO MY HOME.
I TOOK THE DAY OFF WORK, CHANGED MY FLIGHT TO ACCOMMODATE THE DELIVERY DATE THE COMPANY CONFIRMED ON MY ORDER SUMMARY. I CALLED THEIR OFFICES ON HAVING NOT RECEIVED ANY FURNITURE ON THE CONFIRMED DELIVERY DATE OR ANY NEW INFORMATION. I SPOKE WITH SEVERAL INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING A MANAGER THAT TOLD ME THAT SOMEONE WOULD GET BACK TO ME WITHIN 24 HOURS, I DIDN'T GET A CALL I SPOKE WITH 6 LIVING SPACES STAFF AND 4 MANAGERS AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEIR 3RD PARTY DELIVERY SERVICE HAD LOST ONE OF MY ITEMS AND THEY WERE WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM THEM AND THAT THEY (THE DELIVERY COMPANY) WOULD BE REACHING OUT TO ME ABOUT A NEW DELIVERY DATE. BUT NO CALL HAPPENED.
AGAIN, I RECEIVED NO CALL FROM LIVING SPACES SO ONCE AGAIN I REACHED OUT TO INQUIRE ABOUT THE STATUS OF MY DELIVERY. AGAIN, I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN I PURCHASED THIS FURNITURE I ASKED IF THEY DELIVERED THE SALES PERSON RESPONDED YES!
IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY THAT THEY CONTRACT WITH A THIRD PARTY FOR DELIVERY OR THAT THAT THIRD PARTY HAS LOST MY ITEMS THAT IS THE COMPANY'S DILEMMA I AM THE "CUSTOMER" I PAID THEM IN GOOD FAITH BUT WAS NOT TREATED WITH EVEN A MINIMAL LEVEL OF RESPECT AS A CUSTOMER.
NO ONE AT THE COMPANY HAD ANY IDEA WHEN MY FURNITURE WOULD BE DELIVERED. SO I REQUESTED THAT MY MONEY BE RETURNED SO THAT I CAN PURCHASE FURNITURE ELSE WHERE AND I WAS THEN TOLD THAT I COULDN'T BE GIVEN A SPECIFIC DATE OF WHEN MY FUNDS WOULD BE RETURNED TO ME. THIS IS AN OUTRAGEOUSLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NEGLIGENT COMPANY.

"Three months after buying living room set, the store still hasn't delivered what I ordered. Whenever I call the 800 line to ask, I'm told they need to contact a vendor and "someone" will contact me when they know. They've been telling me that for over a month and I have yet to get a call from anyone! Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else."
"After 2 dilevery screw ups the item dilervered looked nothing like the item online and to get it fixed cost over another $100. Plus the original $89 dilevery cost and restocking fee. All said is costing over $600 for a $400 chair. The worst experience EVER!!"
