So, I clicked on the link, went to shop.mtv.com and purchased one dvd, which came out to $16.48 after taxes, applied the code FREEMONEY, my total was $6.48, and I paid through PayPal. I got an email confirmation of my order.
This morning I got another email saying that my order was cancelled. No reasoning at all. I followed the rules, I clicked through their link that they sent me, and then they simply cancelled the order.
I will never deal with MTV Shop again. I now see that this is happening to many people. What awful business ethics. I would not support such a store with my money."
"Very poor business practices. Apparently they had a problem with a promotion code yesterday. I placed my order and then checked it's status a few hours later. My order status was stated "You have requested this item be cancelled. The request is pending, please check back soon for an updated status." I did NOT request that my order be cancelled. Then I receive an email cancellation this morning for the same order. In the email, MTV Shop informed me that my order had been cancelled because "the following item from your order is not currently available for purchase." I then checked their web-site, and the item I ordered IS currently available for sale. Very poor business practices - I will not be purchasing from them again."
