"I am very disappointed in Macy's. I just received an email stating that my order of 3 RipStiks was cancelled. I ordered three RipStiks for my three boys with the idea of using them as their large "Santa" presents at a price of $20 only to receive an email 8 days later stating the order had been cancelled. Beause of this "glitch" in Macy's system, I bypassed other gifts on Black Friday that were affordable because I thought I had been able to purchase my children something they would enjoy at a reasonable price. It is incredibly heartless of Macy's to cancel these orders so close to Christmas.
This has now put us in a bind because we had planned on giving them bikes (bought off Craigslist slightly used) but because I had Macy's order confirmation and their shipment estimate for the RipStiks we let them have the bikes (they were, after all, used). We assumed we would have a better present for them soon. Now not only have we given them the only other big present we could have gotten them, but we used our Christmas funds to buy the bikes and RipStiks. We now have little money and no large gifts. Thanks, Macy's. What a wonderful thing to do right before Christmas!

"I used to buy all my clothing here until recently. There was an error on Macy's part of a 1 day sale and I bought a lot at a discount. About 2 days later, Macy's sent an email canceling my order and offered no sincere apology. Rather, they tried to explain the pricing policy, "While we do our best to ensure our prices are accurate, errors do occasionally occur, and we reserve the right to correct those errors even after an order has been placed. Please read our Pricing Policy for complete information." What a bunch of horrible people? Macy's has lost my loyalty and my business."

"I ordered an item from Macy's online. After placing my order, within a days time, I realized I did not want the item.
I tried canceling my order online. To my suprise, Macy's does not give you that option. What a scam. As the order didn't have a ship date for 3 more days, I called their customer service and asked them to delete the order. Again to my suprise, they told me they couldn't because it was being prepared for shipping.
They even confirmed that the shipping date was still 3 days out. WTH! The best they told me they could do was to put in a request to the shipper, so that once shipped, they would redirect the merchandise back to their warehouse.
Days later, once the order had shipped, it was rerouted by carrier back to their warehouse. Weeks later when I get a credit back to my account for the returned item i notice that they refunded the price of the product less shipping. So, I check and sure enough it is in their shipping faqs.
Needless to say, this has been a horrible experience. I paid $6 and received nothing. I will NEVER recommend their online store to anyone. I purchase online frequently and this is a first! I truely think they are aware of this whole situation and it part of a scam to increase profit on their end. "
"Making the purchase on-line was simple. This time was a Dyson Absolute DC17. Shipping was in a timely fashion. My review of the Dyson: I have 3 cats, and some area throw rugs over a wooden floor. I was AMAZED at all the things this Dyson pulled out of the rugs!! I have to vacuum every few days to keep the pet hair at bay. I started with a 2x2 swatch of rug and the canister was already full. I couldn't believe it. When the rotation brush is on its like having a power drive with the vacuum. Its easy to manouver and cleans everything. The only tricky part was putting it together out of the box. It comes with a picture direction, and 2 steps to assemble it. I over thought how it was supposed to be done, and ofcourse it turned out to be exactly as pictured no matter how my brain didn't want to register that the simple step in the picture would work. This is the most amazing vacuum ever! You will not regret this purchase! "
"ITEM WAS ON BACK ORDER AND FINALLY RECEIVED 3 WEEKS AFTER ORDER WAS PLACED. WHEN I GOT MY BILL FROM AMERICAN EXPRESS, THEY DOUBLE CHARGED ME. "Great experience and fast shipping. I ordered 10 charter club towels and 2 pair Nike sweat pants plus a Kenneth Cole overcoat. One of the towels frayed in the washer and I decided I did not need both of the Nike sweat pants. I took the 1 frayed towel and 1 of the Nike sweat pants back to a local Macy's and they refunded me for the purchase price immediately, even though the items were bought online. How easy and coinvenient is that! This was my 3 Macy's.com positive experience out of 3."
"Making the purchase on-line was simple. It's the aftermath that's scary. After I made the purchase, I received a 20% off coupon starting on the 28th. I called Customer Service to see if the 20% could be applied. Wendy on the phone replied, NO problem. She said she'll credit the amount of about 40 somewhat dollars. In fact, she called me back to confirm the amount. I thought that was great. It has now been about 2 weeks, and I don't see the amount credit back to my credit card. since then I can't reach customer service on the phone. So I sent couple of emails on line. First email was never responded. After sending the second, I received an email saying they are looking into it. Then just now I received another email with this :"If we do not hear from you, we will assume this issue has been resolved.". WHAT WAS THAT? This is a joke, right? Come on Macy's, get your act together. So I responded, let's see what they say."

"I bought stuff from macys.com for about 3 times now. Although the process is quick and simple, their refund for lost packages can make you impatient. My package was lost while in transit. I emailed a refund message as soon as I got the notification from UPS. They said that it'll take 7-10 business days to process and credit the refund to my credit card. A month later and 3 email messages to the customer support, I still don't have the refund.
If everything goes well to the package, macys.com is one good site to get stuff from. But when your package is lost, Things get a little trickier and longer.
Everything was too perfect til they screwed my refund."
"The services sucks, I try to cancel my order before I get confirmation by e- mail, and the repersentative didn't allow me. The representative said it's already ship out, but when I asked for tracking#, he can't provide it, then he found the other excuses by saying that it's already packing and waiting for shipment.
(I placed order around 2 am on 10/19/06, and called them around 11 am on 10/19/06)
When I ask him "does that mean you are going to ship now, he answered they will ship out "tomorrow or the day after tomorrow". The he found another excuses...he said shippind departent and customer services department are not in the same building.

"I ordered size 38W waist pants. They shipped me a size 40W, labeled 38W. They looked like an item somebody had returned and Macys relabled it wrong. When I contacted them, they were friendly enough but then shipped me the "correct" item and when I got it I found that the color was different than what I orginally ordered and yet it had the same SKU number and item number and everything. Just a mess. I eventually just returned it all. Huge website full of great products but clearly a fulfillment process that just doesn't work. "
