"Totally disgusted with Macys - finally got through to order mattress sets at 4:30 am today only to find out that the cost of shipping was more than the cost of the mattress sets. When I called earlier in the week to check on the shipping cost - I was told it would be $70 for both sets. This AM, I was told the shipping cost was $299 and both mattress sets only amounted to $296. Do not advertise an item as a Black Friday doorbuster if it is not available in the regional area for the standard shipping fee!"

"I ordered a skincare product on their website in 6.7oz size. They sent me 3.4oz version. I took it to the store to exchange but they didn't have that line at that particular store so I returned the item and contacted customer service to send me the right size. They said sorry they'll rush the shipment for free. When it arrived its the same darn 3.4oz again! Are they for real?? The packing slip says 6.7oz and so does my receipt. They must be blind or stupid. Never ordering from them again."

Ordered some Pyrex Sets on Sale for my wife. The product was listed in stock and estimated ship date was in 1-2 days. Never Shipped! When I called CS up they said they were out of stock but cannot cancel my order!! After an half an hour of talking and transferring I just hung up and made it easy for my self. Just disputed the charge and got my money back. Their stores are great but online they are TERRIBLE. DON'T RISK SHOPPING HERE!"

I bought some lingerie online at Macy's.com. When it arrived it did not fit, so I went to Macy's to return it. They would not refund my money, even though I had a receipt. The employee even said I had the wrong receipt, which I did not. They would only give me a store credit, even though I had a receipt and wanted a full refund. Then I saw at the bottom of the receipt the words “process as a no receipt return.” I don't know why it said this. There is no mention of this in their returns policy. Anyway, I spent their store credit, then cut up my credit card and mailed it to them. I'm sure Dillards doesn't treat their customers this way."
"I bought a mattress set on July 4 sale for $634 so I opened a Macy's card to use the 20% discount. My new account was approved for only $300 so I was told that I had to pay $334 through my debit card and the rest through my new Macy's card. I was fine with all that, however, they said the earliest delivery for the mattress would be in 3 weeks, I had to take off on a weekday and they never delivered after 7 pm or on Sundays!!!Fine!
So I do more search when I go home and find out that I can get the EXACT SAME mattress set from Mattress Firm with the same day delivery and $100 less!!!!
Here is when the story starts: I call Macys's to cancel my purchase. The sales person was very nice and canceled my order, but told me that will ONLY CANCEL THE DELIVERY and I have to call customer service as well to cancel the purchase. I call customer service on Sunday 3 pm and the machine keeps telling me office is closed! Next day I call customer service again and finally can get through it to talk with someone. I get to cancel the order but was told that in order to use the "Macy's Saving" on a first purchase with my new card I need to shop from Macy's furniture within 14 days of opening the card! I told them I didn't need anything within 14 days, so I am told that if I just close the account and open a new one later, I will have to wait for 3 YEARS to be able to use the Macy's saving. :-| I tell them this sounds so ridiculous since I never used my saving on this card I opened. After a long conversation I am transferred to the supervisor and she tells me I could call them with my next purchase and use the saving. Fine.
Then later I try to reach them again to know when I will get the $334 I already paid back which I thought well it should automatically go back to my bank account. Machine keeps telling me again Office is closed on a 1pm Monday!!! I finally can reach the Macy's central customer service and guess what? There they tell me that $334 would stay as my Macy's card balance unless I request that they send me a check for that!!! :-o
What?!!! C'mon Macy's, did you really think I had nothing better to do with that $334 other than keeping it sit there? I spoke with 4 different people on this issue and neither even bothered to explain to me that ALTHOUGH I HAD CANCELED MY ORDER, I WAS NOT GOING TO RECEIVE MY MONEY BACK!!!

"Very disappointed about Macys customer service. I moved 2 months ago, before I moved I had used a macys Credit Card and was supposed to receive a bill to my new address, never did!!
Today, I receive a call from a Macys representative who was arguing and asking me questions of why I was 2 months late on my payment, he was very rude since he never let me explain that I moved and I actually went to macys to changed address. At that time, I only owed them 39$, and today I paid 122$ and clsed that account which really, was not such a good deal as you can imagine..
Very disappointed, will never take any offers from this store again. That guy is unprofessional."
"Can't believe how bad the customer service is for a company of this size. They initially only credited me for 2 of the 3 items I returned, and instead of refunding my credit card they issued me some kind of gift card. They also tried to bill me over $20 for the return shipping. It took about a dozen emails to get the issues resolved since all of their representatives are in a foreign country and do not seem to understand english very well. Still haven't received the refund as they stated it will take 14 days (wtf?), so if it doesn't show up I'll just file a claim with my credit card company. I'll only be doing my purchasing in-store when it comes to Macy's from now on. I can't imagine Macys.com will be able to stay in business long when sites like Amazon are out there who have superb customer service."

"Extremely disappointed that their claim of Free Delivery on patio furniture orders over $999 is not true. When I called to place my order, I was told I was outside of their delivery range and it would cost $275 for delivery. Their was no mention of a delivery range in the ad. Also, I'm within 5 miles from a store. You'd think they would at least ship to the store and let me pick up."
"Ordered a fragrance. Used two gift cards and a credit card for the balance. No problems whatsoever. Luckily, their free shipping starts at $50 for fragrances, and my order still qualified despite the two gift cards applied. Shipped via FedEx Ground and made it within the delivery date estimate. "
