A+ Customer Service

"I purchased a refurbished office chair from them. Unfortunately, the chair was damaged during shipping. I reached out to them and received a response within 24 hours. They provided a couple of options to make it right and were great to deal with. I would feel comfortable purchasing from them again. "

Good Shipping Great Service

"I purchased an open-box HumanScale Freedom chair from Madison Seating. Their shipping was fast and the packaging was impeccable. Solid double walled container, full bubble wrap, etc. The chair itself was very lightly used (i.e. as described) and it's going to be a great choice.

The only problem was the chair's frame had a hidden fracture in it. The Madison Seating Team responded to my message within 24 hours and has offered me a replacement. Very happy with my decision to purchase from Madison Seating

"Madison Seating has a very responsive customer service. Chair arrived damaged and I immediately sent an email which customer service responded to right away. They have offered to send me a replacement at no cost. I appreciate how prompt and courteous they have been. "

Customer service was clutch

"I bought a pre-owned Steelcase chair from Madison Seating through their eBay store. When I received the product it had a broken back support. When I reached out to Madison Seating's customer support they were very quick to reply (within minutes).
Rather than me having to repackage and send the chair back, they sent me a whole replacement chair.
This is above and beyond my expectations for a chair reseller.

Great customer service!

"I ordered my office chair, received confirmation for the order promptly & it was delivery as promised. Upon setting up the chair, I noticed a popping noise when I moved while sitting or adjusting my sitting position. I emailed Madison Seating & they responded asking for a video to verify this. I sent the video and received a quick reply. They apologized for the inconvenience & offered to replace my chair. My chair is extremely comfortable & fully adjustable - just what I needed for working from home, seated, full-time. Customer service like this is hard to come by these days. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer!"

AVOID MADISON SEATING - SCAM ALERT

"They sent me a chair with a missing part (it's the tilt arm, chair is unusable without it). They claimed it was described on the website as missing that piece. NOT TRUE, they can't provide the listing showing that was how it was listed for sale. It was one of 5 I purchased and other 4 were complete. Refusing to replace. INCREDIBLE. The have offered a return at my shipping cost, which would cost me more than I paid for the chair. If you purchase just be aware that the guarantee is a SHAM and all sales are final with them."

"Through the nature of my role, I have been purchasing chairs from Madison Seating over the past 7 years. I have actually stopped looking around on other sites due to the fact Madison Seating offers name brand chairs at a price that is far better than competitors. Of the many chairs I have purchased only had two issues that needed to be addressed and both times Madison Seating offered resolutions I was happy with. I will continue using them as new chairs are needed. "

Charged $170 to return ship a defective product

"I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered a chair that was $700, open box. Upon receipt of the chair, it was defective. The settings for height and recline would not lock, thus I could not keep the chair in a position that supported my ergonomic needs. Upon return, Madison required that I ship the chair back paying for least expensive shipping route. I sent in the receipts for the shipping because it was almost $170 just to return ship via UPS ground (I shopped around). Madison Seating's response to my request for reimbursement was:

"The novelty with Madisonseating.com is that we sell brand name ergonomic office chairs for practically half the retail price and include free shipping. This way customers that normally cannot afford an ergonomic chair, can buy one at a more reasonable price.

With these prices and free shipping, we are unable to offer free returns. We do not reimburse for the return shipping costs under our 30 day return policy."

I will never do business with this company again. I was punished for broken furniture as the customer and in this economy, I don't just have $170 to throw away when I have a family to feed. I'll continue going to the other LARGE online retailer who knows that customer service is what makes people return. This was the worst customer service ever!

Excellent service

"I ordered my office chair, received confirmation for this order promptly & delivery as promised. Upon opening the box, I noticed a broken bolt & bracket in the bottom of the box. I emailed Madison Seating & within minutes they responded asking for photos to verify this.
I sent the photos in & once again, within 24 hours, they replied! They apologized for the inconvenience & offered to replace my chair.
My chair is extremely comfortable & fully adjustable - just what I needed for working from home, seated, full-time.
Customer service like this is unheard of!

Chair problem

"I’ve ordered a couple of office chairs over the past 5 years from Madison Seating with no problems. I ordered two last month and one had visible damage to the armrest on arrival, so I contacted the company immediately. A replacement armrest was sent promptly. However, once actually in use, it became immediately apparent there were additional problems including an inability to hold the height setting of the chair. I contacted customer service again. In a quick turnaround, the customer service department offered to send a replacement chair (no return needed), providing a satisfactory resolution to the problem and ensuring a return customer."

Aeron Herman Miller Chairs

"Madison Seating is absolutely the best place on earth for Herman Miller chairs. I purchased one Aeron chair last month and I would have to say this is the most comfortable chair at the price of a used Aeron chair. A few days ago my 18 years old son moved back with me to start college and sat on my chair and loved it, so I ordered him his own chair and it will be delivered on 7/12/2022. This seller is amazing and keeps you updated via email and calls. I highly recommend Madison Seating and I am a customer for life for all my office furniture. Thank you Madison Seating for standing behind your products.

"I got my chair at the expected time, but the chair is with a broken adjusting knoll. I contacted their customer service, and they are wonderful. They solved my problem immediately. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase."

Their warranty is essentially worthless, and their chairs are shabby

"Their warranty is essentially worthless, and their chairs are shabby. Bought a Herman Miller Aeron from them, and now the chair is broken after two years of use. Their policy is that to use their warranty, you have to ship the whole chair not the part (so you won't be willing to do it), which costs 300 + easily, and they would charge another 95 for shipping back. Generally, it's not worth it to do it, so they don't need to repair/exchange.

Sure Herman Miller costs 1000+, but they have real warranty and their chair is of high quality and won't break in two years

Poor quality and customer service

"I ordered 5 chairs from them Aeron, Mirra, Leap V2, Gesture, and Amia. I ordered on 3/29. I did not hear anything for a couple of weeks. All but two chairs came in individually spaced out over several days. They do not answer the phone and are slow to respond on email. You can't see the status of multiple shipments in their online portal, so when something does ship, you don't know which it is or when to expect it. I was very concerned at first that the company might have been fake. By the first week of May all chairs had arrived. All were from their remanufactured line-up. 1/5 lived up to expectation of a remanufactured chair. It was an Aeron. The fabric on all Steelcase products was very poorly done, I would not trust them on a reupholstered chair. Many loose threads and in general it looked like a very low level of quality. The Leap V2 had five different concerns. Three different components broken in shipment. It took me four emails with pictures along with a threat to challenge the credit card statement for them to ship repair pieces. When they did ship, there was no instructions, so if you are not mechanically inclined, you would have little to no chance of fixing. Additionally, their is a permanent seam in the back of the upholstery because they glued it in place without smoothing it out. They also did not trim excess fabric on any chairs, so you have random pieces of fabric sticking out from the chairs. The Steelcase arm pads are designed to be replaced, but to save a few buck they did some weird reupholstery to it as well on the Leap. The Gesture and Amia, appear to be new pads, or at least in great shape. The fabric edges is the big negative one those two. The Mirra chair we ordered either had bolts stripped in the frame from the factory, or they did not install the correct bolts. Whoever installed, did go out of their way to make it look correct. The result is that it took about two weeks before the back of the chair separated into 3 pieces. The company won't ship new bolts, or replacement chair back. Their only solution is to ship back the whole chair back and then they will replace. The problem is either a bolt of the chair back. Neither of those make sense to ship a whole chair. Either way, they will only take back a chair in the original packaging. If they make an exception you have to find a box that fits exact dimensions. I along with a couple of coworkers spent a couple of hours trying to find the box, and we couldn't. As a last ditch effort I tried to order another chair from them and told them I ordered one to get a box. THEY CANCELLED THE ORDER!!! This is the most unethical, and sleazy company I have dealt with a long time."
