Great customer service

"I ordered an Allsteal Acuity chair from Madison Seating and received exactly what I expected. I had an issue with the chair making a noise when I leaned back and they were incredibly quick to respond and sent a replacement out to me. Very happy and will shop here again if I have home office needs. "

Professional Customer Service - Readily available and eager to support

"The low prices are very attractive. But I understood this was because I was getting a refurbished chair, not brand new. This was clearly stated on the web page. Even so, I was able to make some customization choices on the seat and back fabric colors. There was some delay to the delivery but since the purchase was made during the holiday period, I took into consideration how busy everyone can be during that time. The chair arrived it a very heavy duty cardboard box, not the thinner grade boxes so many companies are using. There was a huge amount of the heavier grade bubble wrapping, securely taped. I had to assemble the seat (just slid on) and attach the two arms.

Once assembled, I noticed the chair would make a loud popping sound when moving such as reclining, shifting weight left or right. I had just experienced this same issue with brand new chairs and my work place. And this is the same chair manufacturer. I learned how to correct this problem and did that on my own chair but the problem is still happening. At this point, I called customer service. Every time I called, I was able to connect very quickly and had a very polite and professional rep assist me. Same situation when communication via email. Quick replies with good answers. They agreed to mail new parts to correct the popping problem. I don't have to mail anything back. I expect the new parts will remedy my issue. Unfortunate delays to the final result but not a deal breaker.

Awesome Company!

"I'm not one to write reviews but I do feel like Madisonseating deserves a shout out. I ordered an office chair for my home office. The sales agents could not be more helpful in assisting me on selecting a chair that worked for my needs. The chair I bought was an open box clearance item that was more than 50% off. To put this in perspective, I save over $500 on this purchase. The chair arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Virtually no difference between and open box and a brand new chair other than the packaging it came in.
It's nice to know that in a day and age where technology has taken over every industry and talking to robot has become the norm, there are still companies that provide good old fashion human interaction. In short, service was impeccable, product arrived perfect, saved a bundle.

I suggested my company purchase office chairs with Madisonseating.com as well as we were in need of replacing many of our old chairs. Our purchasing department bought 10 new Aeron chairs and could not be happier.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

"Do not make the mistake of buying anything from Madison Seating. The prices catch your eye -- and the truth is that they are simply too good to be true. Here is what you end up with:

-Huge delays in shipping
-Wrong items sent
-Used products sent
-Poor customer service
-Fraudulent representation of products on the website

As anyone else who has been scammed by this company has learned (and look around the web to read the stories) you may end up with a used chair or a defective chair, a grey-market chair, or simply a different chair than you actually ordered. But to return it (if they grant you permission to do so) will cost you a major chunk of money -- first there so the "restocking fee" - even if the problem was their fraudulent representation of the item -- second is how you find a carrier that will ship a massive and heavy box at a rate less than $100. Because Madison wont pay for shipping to return anything. I should have known when they advertised a chair for $267 that is sold all day long at Crate and Barrel for $800+. It's simply too good to be true. Save yourself the disappointment and ship elsewhere.

Bad company to deal with

"Bought chair had bad arm rests and a used bottom seat that sags. If you want the 10 year warranty you have to spend $300 to ship back and forth. Spend the extra money on a Herman Miller directly and get the 17 year warranty where they come to your house to fix warranty repairs. I have owned 4 Herman Miller chairs, this being the fourth. Do not buy used CRAP with fine print warranty."

My Second Time Ordering From Madison Seating

"A few years ago I ordered a Leap chair by Sealcase from Madison Seating. These are the best chairs on the market, and Madison Seating offers the best prices on these chairs. I understand these chairs are like new or refurbished, and I am okay with that. If fact, the chair I purchased a few years ago was truly as good as new. If you did not know it was refurbished, you would not know by looking at it or sitting in it. I love my chair so much, I wanted to get my fiancee one. Therefore, an order was place for one. However, to my surprise, when it arrived, it was damaged. Two of the four supports for the back were completely broken. Madison Seating's customer support was then contacted, and they apologized for the condition of the chair. They then offered to replace the broken chair to make it right. The chair is expected in the next few weeks. I understand that sometimes there are breakdowns in service in any company. However, Madison Seating speediness to fix a service breakdown sets them apart from some other companies. Overall, I recommend Madison Seating to anyone looking for the best ergonomic chairs at an affordable price. "

Fantastic price on great product = great experience

"I ordered a Steelcase Think chair at the end of November but was concerned about receiving it before Christmas. I emailed to check status and received a prompt personal response assuring everything was on schedule. Chair arrived at my apartment the week before Christmas, as promised with shipping estimate. Described as ‘open box’ the chair was well packaged in original factory box/plastic. I attached the seat back with two screws and found everything in perfect order – flawless fabric, no signs of prior use and fully adjustable. This is my second purchase from Madison Seating – both high end office chairs at more than 60% discounted price. Still very happy with the first chair after 1 year. I won’t hesitate to use them again. Many thanks."

READ THE FINE PRINT- trying to return a damaged item is only possible if you are willing to loose 50% of your money

"We purchased a chair with a 2-3 week delivery time. It came 4 weeks later in a snow storm. When unpacked, it was obvious the chair was a floor model. Paint was scratched through to the metal and blemished on every surface. The plastic had a chunk missing as well. After taking the time to take a dozen photos and sending them off to the company the response was that the condition ok and my return request unreasonable. This from a company boasting hassle free returns and 100% customer satisfaction. The review rating for this company says it all. So now I have a used chair and the company wants multiple fees and shipping $ adding up to almost half the purchase price of the chair.

Great Company

"Madisonseating rocks! I have been a repeat customer with Madisonseating for over 8 years. During these years, my company has been expanding and we were in constant need for office chairs. We have been purchasing the Herman Miller Aeron chairs and Steelcase Leaps for our new office spaces. The chairs are always purchased at well below the market value and arrive in pristine condition. We recently had an incident where an employee was using the chair as a ladder and broke the armrest off one of the Aeron chairs. Madisonseating immediately helped us with the repair under their warranty coverage. They respond quickly and promptly to all our emails and have a friendly and professional staff. I'm currently redoing my home now, and will most definitely be buying my new home furnishings from these fine folks as well. Awesome products! Awesome Service!"

Worst case of fraud I have ever experienced

"So they imply they are selling you a new chair. In the fine print that you don't notice till you receive a piece of crap instead of a nice chair, it says they may send you an "open box" chair, which implies it is nearly new and, at worst, refurbished to put it back in new condition. They sent me a chair that (1) looks like it rolled around on a smoky, dusty factory floor for 10 years, banging into things and heavily scarring the wheels, (2) had very dirty cloth on the seat and back, such that I took a swipe across each with a white cloth and it came up black (you would never want to sit in this thing prior to a power wash and perhaps a steam clean), (3) had several gooey stains that made it hard to hold my lunch down, let alone sit in it, (4) had several stripped screw holes and Allen screws such that I couldn't put it together completely without a trip to the hardware store for replacement screws and a tap and dye set, and (5) generally looked like one of the worst piece of crap chairs I've ever seen (versus the beautiful, elegant lines and quality of a new Aeron chair). I called and they said if I sent it back and they would refund my purchase (after first saying that there could be no refund unless it was sent in original packing, which I no longer had), but they would NOT pay the $285 return shipping cost. This meant that I lost $285 on the entire transaction. When I now see their history, I get it. The are frauds, Herman Miller has sued them for exactly that, and they are pond scum. Spread the word: avoid these guys like the plague."

Their 10 year warranty doesn't cover broken chairs.

"I purchased a $697 Aeron Chair by Herman Miller in December of 2016. In November of 2017, the 5 point base broke a leg off. I tried to go through the Warranty Department and "Sarina" from Customer Service essentially says that nothing that breaks on this chair is available for warranty. After contacting Herman Miller, they said that Madison Seating is not an authorized Herman Miller dealer and can not guarantee that they chairs or parts are authentic. Avoid using Madison Seating at all costs for your expensive chair purchases!! Please read the email I received from Customer Service:

Hi Brad,

The warranty service we provide does not include breakage of the chair frame or base.

"Warranty service will not cover cosmetic defects like broken seat or chair frame, mesh replacement or other specialized fabrics that were included on your initial purchase. Arm pads will not be covered under warranty."

The warranty provided can only repair mechanical issues that may arise during normal use.

As a reseller, we do not sell or have access to just the part of the chair.

“defective products, rude customer service, worst company ever”

"purchased herman miller chair from them, shipping is late after 14 days of payment. called to cancel but still shipped. turned out the lumbar support is defective. Then they refuse to return. Sent pics and videos to show defective part, first they say nobody uses lumbar support, then they say no evidence of defects. Extremely rude customer service. Finally sent me a fedex return label without pickup service and warn me have to drop off within 24 hours otherwise pay full price. NEVER BUY FROM THEM
