"Ordered a table and chairs, and since i'm in canada extra shipping charges applied. After seeing only part of the order get charged to me, I called and enquired. They had no intention of telling me that the chairs were backordered 2 months, and were going to ship separately (read as get charged duty and brokerage twice). I cancelled the backordered chairs and swapped out the chairs for a different set over the phone with a rather unhelpful customer service agents. They created a new order for the chairs, and charged me more shipping instead of adding them to the previous order. After phoning about the extra shipping charges, they blamed a system error for extra the shipping costs, but refused to refund them insisting it was just the way they work. Tracking numbers were also never sent (as promised). Multiply the estimated number of days for shipping by 2 as well.
I would highly recommend against purchasing from Madison Seating. They don't treat customers with any respect and will gladly charge your credit card for charges which don't appear on your initial invoice.
**UPDATE - All items eventually arrived in good condition and of good quality. 2 weeks after items arrived, a customer service agent who investigates complaints called, apologized and refunded the extra shipping charges. If only all of madisonseating employee's were as helpful as the one who refunded the error..."
"For those with + feedback, you were the lucky ones. I ordered dinning set and when they arrived after a day I received an email that they have charged me extra for delivery. I called and luckily I reversed the charges. We noticed some scratches on the table and chairs but I told myself that’s ok I can live with this. But after using the chairs we noticed that the cushions are not comfortable and we can feel the framing. We called and they send us the exact same cushions. We are asking to return the product or get better cushion quality. They told us NO and if we want to send the chairs back it will be on our own expenses. You guys tell me if this is fear and what would I do with the table and no chairs??? I told them several times we like the style but chairs are not comfortable. I don't call this good customer service. All we want is a better cushions for our chairs. Is that too much to ask for?? I was going to order the matching bar stools as well. I am glad I did not."

"My experience with Madison Seating was great. I had to email their sales department several times in order to get more detail on a few chairs and they were very quick to respond. The ordering process was simple and the chair arrived quickly. I received a great product for a good price. The only thing I would suggest is that they put more specifications about the chairs on the website. That way people wouldn't have to email in order to get that information."

"I don't understand the negative posts here - I ordered a Herman Miller "open box" Aeron and it arrived in flawless condition. Madison was great at responding to emails as to the order status. Note that they will charge your card as soon as you order and it will take 7 to 10 business days before the chair ships - just as they claim. I ordered it on March 6 and received it today, March 22. Great price for an incredible chair - I would definitely buy from them again."

"We ordered 12 Aeron Chairs from them. 2 were defective. None had the lumbar supports. They keep saying that the lumbar supports will ship but it has been 2 weeks now and no shipment info. You have to ship the chairs back and they have to receive them before they send you replacement chairs.
UPDATE: 2 months now and still no lumbar supports"

"biggest rip off reseller around. Returns are not free. My return was to cost$300 plus a 30 percent restock fee $240 which almost totals the entire cost of my barstools. so I have to keep them and try to resell them. I can't believe they stay in business with this kind of terrible customer service"

I Just ordered the Zuo boss chair that this website had on special and I got it for under 200 bucks!! that's like $200 LESS than I saw it anywhere else. I thought I was taking a risk and it would be damaged or something but it was in perfect condition in a new box and everything.
