"The order process was excellent. What is missing is the communication from Madison Seating regarding order status. No email was or has been sent saying that my product has been shipped. I only know that the order was processed because I called and it is also appearing on my credit card statement. I have made many online orders and all companies are really good about communicating to me about the order being received, processed, shipped, etc."

"My order was delivered a bit early! All the parts were there and all of the glass and mirror were unbroken ... the only thing I would have preferred was getting a shipping confirmation email but that was not a big deal as I happened to be home. Put it together relatively easy.. and it looks great. Very sturdy."

"I ordered five pieces of bedroom furniture. All pieces were delivered within ten days of order (drop shipped from manufacturer). No damage, so I can't comment on their return procedures. They had the best prices on the internet for Coaster furniture."

"I ordered 12 chairs (3 sets of 4) and received 5 chairs today. The finish on them were not smooth, and they pulled my clothing. I asked to cancel the balance and return these 5. They said I was responsible to ship them back!!! I will not do business with this company again if this does not get resolved.

"At this time I am not satisfied with the service I have received, after I ordered the item I was told it was out of stock. Then I was asked to choose another item which was more money and had an additional $75 delivery charge. I responded that I wanted the original chair ordered and have not had any return contact since. "While Madison Seating had the best price for the product I ordered, my experience with them so far leaves a lot to be desired. I placed the order on 8/1, but never got an email confirmation. I called 2 days later, and the rep read back the email address I gave during the order (it was correct), and all she could say is that confirmations go out automatically (this one did not, and it was not in my junk folder). She directed me to email the orders dept and request the email confirmation, which I did. 7 days later I got the email confirmation. Since then, I have had trouble following the progress of the order. I called today (8/12), and found out the order still has not shipped - the rep today was minimally helpful, as she told me it should ship in a few days, but gave no explanation other than it is delayed. She also did not seem to understand why I saw their lack of communication with me as a problem. I make a lot of online purchases, and this is the slowest to process, and the worst in terms of communicating status, that I've ever experienced.

I will reserve final judgment, though, for when I receive the product. Since the price was so good, it will be worth it in the end, if the product arrives in good condition. But I suggest Madison review their online and communication processes, as well as speed of processing and delivery.

Update - 8/17 - I cancelled the order with Madison. The chair still had not shipped, and there was no clear indication of when it would. This made me very uncomfortable, given that several hundred dollars is at stake. I found another seller, placed the order, and it shipped the same day (for free too; Madison was charging a high rate for shipping). The other shop's price is higher, but the peace of mind is worth it.

"I ordered 2 barstools from Madison Seating in June. The order was delayed and they arrived in August. Although the seats were well-packaged, the chrome was dented in numerous places on one seat, and the leatherette fabric was damaged on the other. I e-mailed Madison seating, who told me to send pictures. So, I sent about 10 pictures and they told me that a representative from the manufacturer would get back to me in 2-3 days. Well, 2 weeks later I've heard nothing, despite a reminder e-mail. Terrible customer service! We will not use this company again!"

"Like other reviews on this site (although I found those reviews too little too late) Madison Seating accepted my order, then sent me an e-mail saying that the order could not be completed. When I went on their site to find an alternative, I saw my item listed for $120 more than I ordered it for.

When I inquired further I was told that the item was out of stock and to get it in stock would require an additional expense on their part. When I tried to redeem the discount they offered me as an apology and incentive to buy from them, they told me that the discount could not be applied to this item. WHY?

I was then told that if I could find the item from a different seller for less and with free shipping they would match the price. I proceeded to do exactly that and sent them the link as they requested. THEY then proceeded to refuse the price match.

Not only was I disappointed and insulted by the entire experience, Madison Seating completely wasted my time and my apartment is currently couchless. Absolutely APPALLING customer service.

"A few weeks ago I ordered a few office chairs from Madison Seating. I was hesitant to order online at first but the sales representative, Rachel, really helped me out. She explained everything in great detail and made me feel a lot more confident. I went ahead and placed an order for the chairs. They said it would be an estimated seven to ten business days and they sure were right! On the eighth day I got the chairs and I couldn't be happier!!! Would definitely buy again from them"

"I ordered a desk that was being sold on the Madison Seating website for $343. I had found the same desk on another website for about $15 cheaper but preferred the more professional looking Madison Seating website and went with them instead since they claimed they price match. My order was placed on a Friday but by Tuesday I had an email stating that they were not able to get the item and had canceled the sale. I checked the website Thursday just to see if it was still listed and found the same desk selling for $389... So they cancelled my order and raised the price. Great customer service!!

"I ordered over $16,0000 of office furniture online in a 5-hour process as I selected, reviewed and priced chairs, tables and accessories for our law firm, Westside Family Law in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I presented my order in Draft to the largest local BC office furniture supplier: the Madison Seating selection and prices were unbeatable even with Duty and Taxes added into the order total price. I phoned to confirm the order and discuss shipping. I then hired a customs broker for cross-border customs clearing. The shipping process was seamless. Every question I posed to Madison Seating was answered promptly, correctly and courteously. One piece was imperfect due to manufacturer defect (not shipping damage) and the item was replaced at no cost within days. I am a lawyer who was under budget and time constraints to get all furniture for our new offices. Madison Seating's prices and selections and high level of customer service (excellent level of service, actually) allowed to me to obtain the quantity and quality we needed, below our budget. I highly recommend Madison Seating. I was nervous at first: when I placed the order, my hands were shaking because it is a lot of money to spend online in a leap of faith. I had first reviewed Madison Seating's ratings and it came in as highly recommended. But this was the a bif order, all being shipped across the border. EVERYTHING PERFECT. Amazing. This was the one thing that went entirely as planned dduringour new office planning. THANK YOU to Madison Seating staff!! The "Excellent" ratings I indicate are well earned by Madison Seating. "
