"Hardware is great. I pay the extra bucks for a bare bones system, because I want some hardware customization, but primarily because I don’t want the junk software that comes on an off the shelf computer. The driver disk for the BlueRay drive I selected was loaded with crap, and the default installation as delivered from MagicMicro had it all installed. I suspect that a related situation was that Windows installation was broken. It would not update and had other problems. I did not spend much time investigating, I simply blew it away and installed from the provided driver and Windows disks, omitting the blue ray installation. Now everything is great, and the only down side is that I don’t have software to play a blue ray. I tried to install just the player, but the blue ray driver disk is an all or nothing affair. I’ll be getting a separate player. So, after a little software pain, the system is great."
