"I ordered a computer through Magic Micro's Ebay store back in February. When I first received the system it worked decent enough. Although the video card was a cheap asian knockoff and the drivers for the card were on a disc labled in chinese or japanese. It ran ok for maybe 2 months and then the Power Supply died on me. I sent it back (paid for the shipping fee) and received a new power supply. The computer worked again and I went on my way until one day I entered my room and the computer was off when I knew I had left it on. I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't work. So I figured it was the power supply again and sent it back and they sent a new one but that wasn't it. Then I sent in the MOTHERBOARD which they said "THEY FOUND NO PROBLEM WITH" and returned it. I then gave up on what might be wrong and decided to ship the entire system back to them. Well a week later they emailed me and said "THE PROBLEM WAS THE MOTHERBOARD" and they replaced it and sent it back so I wasted $30 to ship my computer back to them when they must have not even checked the motherboard. When I got the computer back they had installed a diff motherboard with an annoying boot up bios to it and the dvd drive was not being recognized. I have since given up on the computer and ordered and Alienware and plan on selling off the parts from the magicmicro comp."
"I consider myself a relative newbie. This is only my 3rd computer I've built.
I purchased a barebones system. Neon black tower, 400w pwr supply, Asus a7v600x MB, AMD K-7 3200+ CPU.
I had a new HDD, ATI video card, and cd-DVD drive.
Everything was Ok until loading Win XP. System kept shutting down part way through XP install. Tried several things, still didn't work. Finally called Magic Micro's tech #. Got Tech person right away. Very helpfull. Had me try several things - still didn't work. Finally the CPU fried! (Smoke & smell = totally dead )
MM gave me RMA #. I paid $35.00 to return unit as shipped. They swapped power supply and CPU, ( I know because I marked the old ones!)
MM returned unit super fast, I mailed it thursday and had it back the following wednesday.
I checked CPU temp in BIOS. Way HOT! 64 - 67 deg Cel. I called MM, one guy said its normal ( LOL ) I called again. The next guy said WAY to HOT should be around 40 deg Cel.
I went to Extremepcgear and ordered a Vantec AeroFlow 2 VA4-7245 Premium CPU cooling fan w/ copper core and Arctic Silver 5 Thermal compound.
Total cost 27.48 + some shipping ( part of a larger order)
After installed, checked CPU temp = 41 deg Cel.
Has worked fine ever since.
MM shipped unit with very cheap CPU heat sink and fan. Totally inadequate.
I'm new so it was a good learning experience for me, although it cost me 35 bucks shipping, a week of time, and another 30 bucks for a decent CPU cooler.
MM was quick and good about replacing the bad parts, but they should have used better parts in the first place. Tech was good to deal with and knowledgeable from my perspective ( I'm new remember )
Now that I've found this site, I'll stick to reliable sellers with good ratings - MUCH cheaper in the long run.
Love this site. I only wish more people would use it.

"Worst I have seen. Item NOT as adwertised. This was supposed to be an ATI brand Radeon 9600XT video card. It was something else, a cheap asian knockoff. They eventually refunded my money, but WHAT A HASSLE"
"I purchased a barebones unit combination which included the AMD64 3000+ processor with the Gigabyte K8NS NFORCE - 250 motherboard. The problem was the cpu cooling fan was not properly cooling the processor and when I looked in the BIOS at the Harware Monitor this temperature would top out at 82 degrees Celcius and then the board would power the system down to avoid totally burning up the processor/motherboard which is what should happen. However, I have built many pc's and I have never seen an issue like this before. I only had about three minutes before the processor would over-heat and trust me, this temperature was correct because the processor was burning to the touch. I called and spoke to their tech support and at Magic Micro Computers and they asked me to make sure the processor was properly seated correctly on the motherboard and it was. I was using the Spire Kestrel-King II AMD64 approved fan and it was operating correctly and spinning in the correct direction. Also, I had three other fans in the unit for cooling, so there was either an issue with the processor itself or the motherboard. They issued me a return authorization number for repair and I sent it back to them. They returned the unit to me but didn't include any information as to what they had done. I powered the machine up and within three minutes, the machine powered itself down and the processor had the same excessive temperature as before. I called their tech support again at Magic Micro Computers and I told them I wanted my money back. Well, they were nice about it but unfortunately for me, I had to pay for shipping and handling charges a total of three times, plus a restocking fee of $30 so I was out a total of $90. I was not happy but what can you do. I understand that things happen but when I sent the unit back for repair I was basically given the same unit back and that angered me more than anything else. I have since used another company in which I received all of my components and this barebones unit is running like a champ. So beware, of this company because you have been warned.

"order 2 times now from this company and both times it has been a pleasurable expierence....they exceeded my expectations greatly and i will continue to order from them. they have the cheapest 9600xt 256mb video cards that i have found internet wide. the 1st order took 2 days to process but for my security that is understandable. 2nd order less than 24 hours to ship. there shipping rates are ok. they overcharge a little but nothing compared to some."
"Ordered barebones system; it arrived less than a week after placing my order. I called to make a change in it one day after placing the order. No problem, no long wait on hold for a real person to talk to. Sent an e-mail for tech help, got a prompt, clear answer. Dealing with them was a pleasure."
