"I Ordered a new Gaming sytem from this company on June 9th (I also purchased a Barebones system the next day order # 69224) When I recieved my computer I Installed 3 MMORPGs and thought I'd break in the system. Every 1- 10 minutes the system would shut down and give me reports telling me that something was wrong, but wouldn't tell me exactly what it was, so I called this companies customer service number. The first gentleman stayed on the phone off and on with me (between trying differant things) for the better part of 4 hours, he walked me through all sorts of system checks and even helped me install an updated Bios. Nothing seemed to be working, once we eliminated the software we moved on and isolated the problem (it seems windows XP doesn't recognize more than 2 gigs of memory) the company asked me to wait a few days and call back when i was sure and they would give me an address to send the extra memory back for a refund (which was very nice of them).
I would STRONGLY recommend this company if you are looking for a computer system without paying off the wall prices. Thanks Magicmicro!

"VERY BAD SELLER....... THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER..... I SHOP ONLINE EVERY DAY BUT THIS IS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE...... MAYBE THEY HAVE GOOD PRICES CAUSE, GOD KNOWS WHAT KIND OF REFURBISHED PRODUCTS THEY USE, BUT IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR PC, OR IF FOR SOME REASON YOU WANT TO RETURN IT.... "Magic Micro is Excellent! I ordered late on Thursday 2/15/2007 online and received an immediate confirmation. I emailed a question to sales on Saturday night and even though their advertised tech support/sales support is only M-F I got a reply early Sunday morning. They modified my order on Sunday based on the email exchange I had with them while they were supposedly closed. My new system shipped out on Tuesday and I received it in perfect condition on Thursday, less than 7 days after placing the order. I was very impressed since I selected a customized item for every part of the order. I received top quality parts assembled well for an excellent value. Thermaltake Tsunami case, Thermaltake PSU, ASUS P5B-E MB, 2G PC6400 Super Talent low latency memory, WD 320G HD w/16m cache, etc. The original order contained a video card but I decided to purchase my own instead. They issued a full refund for the immediately on Monday after making the adjustment on Sunday and still managed to ship out my system on Tuesday. I am a very pleased customer."
"I recently bought a AMD barebones from this company's and right out of the box it was messed up, they shipped it with a bad video card, the cards fan would not work causing the card to over heat, but after a 3 week delay they replaced it by sending me a new one. Also the LCD Heat gauge on the front of the tower was scarched out of the box, but they said they could not fix because I could not prove that they scarached it, and a case fan was put in backwards. I wish I would of read these reviews before buying from this place."
"I had a problem with getting the system to boot properly and contacted Tech Support. Steve did an outstanding job helping me fix the issue. I took two phone calls, and excellent step by step suggestions by Steve to get to the root of the issue and fix it.
I am VERY impresses with Magic Micro's tech support. The computer ain't bad either.
They are HIGHLY recommended for computers and support.

"Customer Support is very poor. I would avoid this company.
I ordered an AMD barebone system. It failed to work right out of the box. Tech support emails went unanswered. On my own, I removed and reseated the memory chips which solved the problem. I ordered an ATI AIW X600 which got good reviews. They substituted an AIW 2006 which is newer, but is a dog. In fact, the ATI board does not work. They sent driver disks which could not be read in any computer I have. They did respond to a phone call, and sent new disks, but I had to download drivers anyway. Once installed, the ATI board doesn't work. Attempting to resolve the problem with the ATI board, I emailed and called the support line. They have not responded to several email messages and I only get voice mail when I call support. "
"Great service from start to finish. Excellent tech support and sales staff. Only place I need to shop."
"I should have checked their rating first but I suckered for their slick eBay web store. Bought a barebones Intel duo core. They substituted a cheaper motherboard (at no extra charge they said). I did get them to refund the difference but they have yet to respond to any emails for technical support (the 24hr promised response must be a lot more than that) Oh, the motherboard ran fine for a month."
"This business is absolutly questionable. If you are considering ordering a product from this company, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
I ordered an Intel Barebones (or thought I had) from this supplier and waited patiently for 3 weeks for my order to arrive. I then called their customer service to inquire about the status of my shipment.
To my suprise they were unable to confirm my billing address. This is impossible considering I verified twice with my bank that my address on file was correct, and regularly make purchases online using the same billing address. Normally they should have contacted me to inform me of the mishap or even halted the processing of the payment. They did neither.
I have repeatedly tried to have them refund my payment but to no avail as of yet. The customer service has been terrible, and I have recieved a different answer from each individual I have spoken with. The rudest of all perhaps was the so called "manager" who informed me that the next time I call back I will just hear more of the same, essentially telling me im screwed.
I will soon be seeking legal action. This is severely poor business practice. Please be advised."
"I bought a system from MM and I am very displeased. The CPU constantly over heats within 10 minutes. I emailed them my concerns about the computer over heating and haven't gotten a reply in 2 weeks. Well, with not answering my email in anyway whatsoever, I feel they have poor customer support. I would have been happy to rate them well if they would have at least answered me. I really didn't care about the CPU over heating. Now I do."
"I bought this computer about seven months ago and the system wouldn't start right out of the box. I have since had to return it for faulty parts on three occasions. Servicing has taken over a month from when I shiped my computer to when I got it back a again each time."
"Don't Buy From Here! I purchased from them because they were local and I could pick it up, save on shipping and if there was a problem, look somebody in the eyes. I was loading it into my car and noticed the Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI, with integrated wireless (I only have wireless at home)that I ordered, had been replaced with an Asus A8N-SLI deluxe, with NO wireless! I carried the whole thing back in and asked where my ordered Gigabyte board was! The clerk explained to me that I didn't need the wireless and they reserve the right to subsitute when out of stock!!! I explained to him that I ONLY have wireless and am not leaving without it or he can have this back! He fixed me up with a wireless card. The point is, he never bothered to let me know what I was buying...And that was face to face! So much for honesty! As a side note, The Tech support guy (Steven) is great!!"
"Ordered an EVGA AGP GeForce 6800GT from them through PriceGrabber. I came here and saw the poor reviews and figured I'd end up dealing with my credit card company and going through that hassle. Thankfully, however, everything went well. The card itself shipped the same day and I was provided a tracking number through UPS. It arrived a couple of days later and I installed it without issue. It's been running fine for nearly a month. I'm not sure how the reviews could be so night and day between my experience and the others. I guess they may be turning over a new leaf. I'd recommend them based on my experience but would ask others to use their own judgment."
“Thank you”
"I'm joining the "wish I read the reviews" party. When I ordered the computer, I asked for the Raidmax Scorpio case. When the unit arrived, they had given me an Axio knock-off (I believe Axio and Raidmax are the same companies but Axio is the cheap line). It just looked cheap and nasty and the DVD drive was spraypainted silver-- why, when the drive bays are concealed behind a door? I figured I didn't pay much for the case upgrade but did e-mail letting them know that they should not state in their order form that it's a Raidmax Scorpio 880 when it's actually a knockoff. No response. The video card was absolute crap, it was supposed to be a 256MB GeForce 5500NX and the 64MB nVidia on my old dead computer outperformed it. Cheap Asian knockoff is my guess.
It's been seven months and this thing is slowly dying. Drives are crapping out, the whole thing is slowing down and randomly dying. Luckily I don't have the temperature problems other reviewers are having. I couldn't return the computer back when the thing was still under warranty because I had opened the case (in order to install my own soundcard, modem and CD burner).
I'm only hoping that this thing holds up until I have money to buy a new machine."
"I wish I had read this reviews before placing my order. DO NOT order from this company, no matter how good the price may be. I recently had a terrible experience with this company. I ordered a barebone system that not only took over two weeks to arrive, upon receiving the product, it would not turn on. It was probably damaged during delivery because the packaging Magic Micro uses is embarrassing. Instead of trying to troubleshoot a brand new computer, I decided to return the system. Unfortunately, Magic Micro never notified my they got the return, or when they refunded my money. Of course, the 15% restocking fee, shipping charges, and Magic Micro's ineptness cost me a total of $110! That's right. $110 + a lot of my time for NOTHING in return.
CONCLUSION: MAGIC MICRO = BAD COMPANY
Oh, I forgot to mention that they shipped my system with a different motherboard than I ordered... without telling me about it!"
A rep from MagicMicro, MaxPikovskiy, has responded:
“This customer is trying to blackmail our company. He purchased a custom computer system on Apr 10, 2007 and it was shipped to him on Ap12. On Apr 22 Intel released new processor pricing. Following Intel’s price reduction we reduced our prices on our website. On Apr 26 the customer called and asked to refund him the $300 price difference because of the lower prices posted on our website. We informed him that as an online retailer for custom made systems we can not offer price protection and all prices are subject to change without notice. After receiving this information customer asked to return the computer for refund. We informed him that according to our return policy there is a 15% restocking fee for none defective items. Later same day, customer called and reported that he is having a problem with a system. We offered him a free replacement and free shipping both ways. He refused to accept the new system unless we refund him the price difference.
The next business day, customer called again asking if he can return core 2 duo 6700 processor for old price and purchase quad core Q6600 processor at new price. During a one hour conversation we tried to explain that he can not just trade his computer parts in as they go up or down in price. Later same day customer made two phone calls with threats to post negative comments on the internet if we do not refund him the $300.
Price fluctuations are very common in our industry. If we were to reimburse our customers for all manufacturers’ price drops, we simply would not be in business. We stand behind our products and honor our warranties fully, but we also expect our customers to understand and adhere to their contract. ”
