""I have read the reviews on this company and was alittle concerned since I had already placed my order. My concerns were dismissed after I spoke with John, General Manager, and then did some checking of my own. I checked with sony and found that the charger and battery I received was sold by them, however they no longer use the company they contracted to produce them. So even though these have been replaced, the Sony rep assured me that the items I received are quality items with no defects. Sony will still stand behind their products and not to worry. I relayed this back to the company, and as in my prior phone conversations, they were very professional and thankful. I would buy from them again. It is very common for small businesses to purchase close out items from companies and sell them at a lower price, after all some of the big warehouse companies do the same thing. I have had a good experience with this company and disagree with some of the other reviews. "

"I'm really upset with them! My summary is:
- I bought a camera with them on Apr.
- They took longer to deliver than they had promised
- I bought it in another store and cancelled the order. I never received anything.
- They say they've refunded me, but I never got the money back
- They suggest that I dispute the refund, but the credit card company requires a receipt for this which they can't generate.

Update: despite their reply saying they left me with a voice mail I was not contacted by them. Please, let me know if you have any issue of contacting me directly

"I AM SO SAD TO REPORT THAT THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST PURCHASING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I was not surprised to see the reviews below as i have experienced exactly the same thing. I just wish I had read them before I ordered anything. So, here is my story, in May, I ordered a back up battery for my Sony Camcorder. I ordered the exact original Sony battery that came with my camera for what I thought was a very reasonable price. Few days after placing the order, JUST LIKE SOME REVIEWERS BELOW, I was called back and was told that the battery I ordered was backordered but they could get me a much better, higher capacity battery (NOT SONY) for additional $15 right away. I went with the recommendation, received it, charged it and not thinking much of it put it in my bag to have it as a backup when needed. When few months later, I finally got around to needing it, the battery was completely not functional. I charged it back and it turned out it did not hold any charge. I called MelloDigital and got pretty much yelled at by their top manager/maybe owner because I had a nerve to call them and complain after so many months as they only have 14 day return policy and when I requested that they exchange this battery for the original SONY battery I ordered, I was refused and the Super/Top Manager John Quagen with the very condescending/rude/abrasive tone, told me that he was doing me a huge favor by sending me the replacement of the same kind. Not too happy, I went with this resolution just to obtain the same battery that failed exactly the same way, the battery I just sent back did. So, I called again asking for replacement for the original SONY battery I ordered and even offering not to request the refund of the additional $15 I was charged for this supposedly superior product and after expressing my dissatisfaction, I got hung up on. BASED ON THE REVIEWS BELOW THIS DEFINITELY LOOKS LIKE A SCAM. With all the competition around, I can't believe companies like this are still in business. I am SOOOO... DISAPPOINTED that I had to go through this for a silly battery - definitely not worth the saving or the stress. I normally do not write reviews but this was such an unpleasant experience that I had to let others know. VERY SAD!!!!"

"I recently purchased a Nikon sb-600 speedlight for a family member for Christmas. Based on the time of my purchase, the unit should have arrived prior to the holidays. Despite this I was contacted by a representative who offered me a different flash which they claimed was of higher quality, since the Nikon was out of stock. I was forced to cancel my order and now I have to pay more to have the item shipped in time for Christmas. I felt this might be a scam so I returned to their website where I found that the item still appeared to be in stock. I do not feel mellodigital was ever really willing to sell me the product they had advertised at the price they offered. "

"I ordered a Sony replacement battery for a camcorder and it even stated as such on my invoice. They sent me a Vivitar battery that is supposed to be compatible but that is not what they stated they had for sale. I called their customer service at 4:10 on Friday and they were closed with no way to leave a message when they are supposed to be open 10:00AM - 6:30PM EST Monday - Friday. THIS COMPANY SUCKS."

"I contacted customer service regarding a defective battery that that I received. I was happy to receive such a fast response from John Quagen. He was quick to remedy my situation and I appreciated that very much. I have many pictures to take during this holiday season and thanks to John Quagen, my memories will be captured, JUST IN TIME!!! I received my battery and I am a happy customer again! THANK YOU FOR THE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

"Originally ordered Sony battery; received email that it was out of stock and to call; called and offered longer lasting battery; received that battery; it was a cheap battery; called and complained; they then sent the original Sony battery and said i could keep the other battery at no cost. "I placed my order for a Canon 430exII on 8/6/2012 and it's been on back order due to supply issues. I've been in email and phone contact with them on a weekly basis since I've placed my order. Today they have confirmed that they have received my product in stock and will be sending out tomorrow with receipt by early next week with a genuine Canon 430exII flash. I can't wait. I will post a new review next week with follow up on product arrival and packaging."
