"Do NOT conduct business with MelloDigital! It is a sham/bait-n-switch company and needs to be reported to the Better Business Bureau. Items priced lower than competitors on website searches are misleading and are not available; it is just an enticement to attempt to sell their line of products by telling you the item ordered will have to be backordered AFTER indicating on the website that the product is in stock. And, to further share about their deceptive business practices, they are associated with AccessoryCircut.com, which also advertises better prices than can be found at reputable online dealers. Want facts? We attempted to purchase a Canon camera flash from AccessoryCircut and received a follow-up call that the item would be backordered for 5 weeks and was offered a different manufacturer's lens at a higher price. We canceled the order. We then attempted to purchase from MelloDigital the same Canon camera flash the same day. Same call; backorder; offer of competing product; same cancellation. And, what was alarming was that the same confirmation cancellation arrived from both companies with the SAME WORDS MISPELLED, looking the same in layout, as well. We shared these observations with them and no response, but let it be known that both of these companies are trolling for business by advertising unrealistic pricing with no intention in fulfilling an order...just to bait and switch you into buying a different product. Be aware...and do your shopping with reputable businesses, not with these companies!"

"I ordered a Nikon EN-EL14 battery from MELLODIGITAL.COM on November 13, 2012. The cost of the battery was half the price of other vendors. To my surprise I received the battery ordered with in (2) days of the order date and at no extra cost for shipping. While discussing my order with MELLODIGITAL.COM by phone, the sales staff was cheerful, knowledgable and of great assistance. I will definately order from MELLODIGITAL.COM in the future."

"I should have known. I tried to prevent it. It still happened to me as with so many others. I wanted a Nikon flash. Mellodigital had it for a great price. Before I ordered I sent them several emails. Was it a NEW Nikon flash with warranty? They replied "Yes". I then asked if it was a USA Nikon factory warranty. They replied "Yes". I then asked if it was in stock and if it was when would it ship and from where. They asked me to call them. I called. I asked if it was in stock. They said it was "available to order". I asked if that meant it WAS in stock. They said it usually means it does and that it would ship from NY or possibly Las Vegas with two days. I ordered it. Then I got the call. "Surprisingly the flash is 'slightly' on back order." I refused any other flashes and cancelled the order. Total bait and switch. Lesson learned, if the price is too good to be true, then it probably isn't true."

"As with MANY of the other reviews, I have the same story. I ordered two Canon lenses during a day when they had a storewide 30% off sale for one day only. I was contacted and told that due to Hurricane Sandy there would be a delay of up to 2 weeks (UPS delays and supplier delays) but they did have Sigma lenses in stock (which of course were far more since there wasn’t a comparable Sigma to what I had ordered). I told them I would be happy to wait for the Canon lenses. Long story short it has now been 6 weeks and of course they are still “waiting to hear from their supplier”. I guess the folks who supply them don’t own telephones. Ironically the store I ordered my camera from is also in New York and managed to get the order shipped within a day. STAY AWAY, they obviously don’t honor their advertised prices and will just stall long enough for you to cancel your order."

"Folks, run away from this store! DO NOT BUY HERE!! I had the same bait and switch that so many other reviewers have had on this site. On 11-14-2012 I ordered a Canon camera battery online from them. It was listed as "original Canon" and "in Stock". A few minutes later, they called my home and said they were out of stock, but they could sell me a "better battery" that cost $26 more. I said no, and she then offered it for only $10 more. Being desperate, I agreed. This made me feel uneasy, so I looked for reviews of them and found all the bad reviews. I immediately called back ( to this Lisa character) and told them to cancel my order. She told me she had checked in the meantime, and they did have the proper battery after all, and she was sending it. She assured me it was original "Canon", and said it would ship today. I received it today, and it is the cheap "compatible" battery that I told her not to send. These people are scum. Now I am out $26 plus I still have to order another battery somewhere else. These people should be shut down. DO NOT trust the fake "excellent" reviews they have received, probably posted themselves.
UPDATE 11-26-2012 After complaining to the company and posting this review, MelloDigital contacted me many times and told me they would send the proper battery. They did, overnight, and told me to keep the first (cheap) battery free of charge. I have no complaint with the second battery...it is what I ordered to begin with. They did ask that I reevaluate my review since they gave me a "free" battery, so I have. They claimed it was an honest mistake, and they made good on the order. I do advise any potential customers to read all the other reviews however. This seems to be a common "problem" with them; I will let the other reviews speak for themselves."
