Integrity where it really counts.

"They test your new PC motherboard/CPU/RAM combo free of charge to insure things work right the very first time. Expect to take your new guts home partially assembled. No worry of my hands possibly bending or damaging the delicate socket prongs on an expensive motherboard. I just built my 4th custom Thermaltake beast of a PC with their assistance.

abuse on phone

"spoke to Cody in sales, he didn't know the answer, transferred me to Cris in repairs, who wanted to transfer me to sales. here is my questions: I am ordering the Samsung  990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, 1TB installing on TUF Z370-PLUS GAMING.
Unfortunately I need the tiny screw to hold it down to the board, can you supply it with my order? Is there a heatsink? Will it fit on my board?
I found both these gentleman aggressive and disagreeable and they didn't answer my questions. Cris was actually yelling at me when I suggested he look up my board on the computer sitting in front of him, (I can't 'bring it in due to medical issues), but I find no need to discuss my medical issues with aggressive disagreeable people.
40 years customer loyalty built on reasonable people who if they don't know will find out and call me back. Those people seem to have left memory express along with my customer loyalty.

Be careful what you buy and check your packaging

"I purchased a full computer build package and as I made the purchase the sales person made several substitutes and upgrades. I didn’t t mind the additional $500.00 because I knew the system would be much faster. He did however sell me the incorrect solid state drive for the gigabyte motherboard. I did note at the time of the purchase that this drive had been opened. It did not work once the machine was put together and when I attempted to return it, I was told the packaging was incorrect and they wouldn’t take it back. He accused me of not providing the correct packaging and would not accept the return. After I indicated to the asshat manager to give me my receipt for the $2500.00 purchase because I was returning everything, the attitude completely changed. This is no way to do business and I will be definitely looking for another supplier. Lesson to me it check the packaging of your purchase with these clowns. "

Don’t buy from here

"After researching the best place to buy and the best laptop to purchase, I settled on memory Express. I wanted to support this company rather than Amazon or another larger store, so I forgave the more than 4 week wait, even though Amazon could deliver the next day. Well I waited the longer delivery time, and then when it arrived, it didn’t work. So now I need to send it back and wait another 5-10 days. Brutal. "

Unreal order times

"I ordered a monitor on the 1st . It is coming from a city that is about 3- 4 hours away . I would think a week or two would be enough . I'm still waiting and it's about to be week four . Its actually taking a month or more to ship four hours away . I shopped here to save a few bucks but I think I would be alright paying the full price of things if it means I get it in a RESONABLE amount of time.
I am not overly a fan of this place atm.

Great service

"Ordered a pair of matching 32GB SDRAM DIMMs and they arrived three days before the expected delivery date! The item was the right one and the SDRAM package was sealed as it should have been. I bought a pair of SDRAM's from Newegg.ca earlier and the package arrived in a broken plastic SDRAM container with half the contents missing and no refund! Glad I ordered from Memory Express this time."

Could be better.

"First off, I recently bought basically a full build from them including a 1440p monitor. The RMA I requested because of a few dead pixels would have left me stranded without a monitor for a month or so in total between the shipping it back and forth. I offered to go the Corsair RMA route that I have recently completed with Corsair for my keyboard (they make you buy the product again temporarily but they send you out your new product first, instead of having to wait for them to receive the faulty one and then send you one. After receiving your faulty one they reimburse your 2nd monitor purchase. This way you aren't without your purchase for a specific amount of time) but they wouldn't even agree to that. Corsair even offered to pay the shipping and handling fees and I've read reviews where people said these guys would charge them repacking fees and all that too so I decided to just keep the faulty monitor as the dead pixels aren't super noticeable unless you look for them. They were willing to replace the monitor though, just not the way I needed it done.

And second, let's just say they false advertise that price protection **** they boast about on their front page. I messaged them and requested a price beat/protection or whatever the hell they call it where you get money back if you find a cheaper place to buy the product within 15 days after your purchase and let me tell you how I found a nice EVGA PSU for 40 bucks off and I guess that was too much of my nearly $2000 Canadian that I've spent at their store to give back to me after I was just telling my buddies how their site was good for price matching with some sketchy looking sites like Vugoo.

Just for the record, I was under my 15 day limit by 3 days when messaging them about the request on the PSU. Their email response team didn't get back to me until 4-5 days later. AS SOON AS THE SALE ENDED MIND YOU! It's like they were waiting for it to end to email me back to tell me it isn't available anymore . I know this because I was searching up the products I purchased checking to see if they were qualified for "price beats" daily.

Kind of sus not gonna lie lol...

All in all I'm happy I actually received my products, and that the majority of them actually work.

+1 to you guys for price matching with Vugoo though, a lot less sketchy than dealing with their basic looking website.

My Favorite Electronics Store

"I very rarely leave reviews for anything from products or services but I just had to make an exception in this case. I had the opportunity to deal with Memory Express in Hamilton, Ontario a few times and every time I walk out of the store I feel sense of delight and satisfaction. Undoubtedly, the result of friendly, helpful and extremely professional staff that aims to please. From purchases, returns, pre-orders and value for my money, there has never been a slightest of disappointment. I have always shopped at Canada Computers and Best Buy but can’t claim the same! Memory Express might be a newer brick and mortar store addition to Southern Ontario but already long surpasses my expectations. Please give them a try…Thank you for opening your store in my area. Horrible Horrible Company Scam Artists at work

"My ongoing SAGA with this company, wireless headset stopped working 3 months after purchase returned to store for repair item was SUPPOSED to be sent to manufacturer for repair. Spoke to manufacturer had no knowledge of item for repair for me. Spoke to Josh today 05/25/21 when challenged to receive tracking numbers story gets changed they only send via a distribution centre so no way to follow up, what a joke. They sell items that fail persistently and then leave the customers without their product.

I thought dealing with an Alberta company was the right way to go but NEVER again I ADVISE ANYONE NOT TO DEAL WITH THESE GUYS AS THEY CHANGE THEIR STORY THEY HAVE NO SENCE OF RESPONSIBILITY OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY SELL INFERIOR PRODUCT THEN HIDE BEHIND THE STORE POLICY.

No-Star Review

"First off this is not a one-star review! This is a no-star review! My wife and I just had the most unpleasant shopping experience of our lives. We spent over two grand on a custom-built piece of junk that had exhibited issues from day one. It was in the shop for two weeks, they apparently fixed it, and when we hooked it up it had the same problem again. One Minh, the company's (or exchange shop, to be more precise) decision maker, refused to give us the full refund, and charged us 15% restocking fee! We should have returned the product earlier, so we're told! For the product whose event logs show 6 or 7 days of use, most of them while in the repair shop! So don't believe the TV ads and billboards, this is the thanks you get as a front line worker from one Minh here in Canada! With all the deadline extensions from the government and real business in the past year, one Minh thinks that a front line worker should have abandoned their post at the hospital so that the product that was faulty from day one could be returned on time. I feel sorry for all the nice guys that work for this character. Shame on you Minh! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!"
