"Ordered product on Monday night and received on Friday afternoon. Great price!!!!! Will return for future purchases. Thanks!!"
"I am very please with this company. I purchased a Video card at a computer show in Indianapolis. When I got home and opened the box I noticed a piece was not attached to the card. I took the card back to the computer show the next day. Since they were out of stock on the particular card I purchased, my money was promptly refunded."
"Ordered an OEM DVD-ROM on March 10th, recieved March 13th. Very fast shipping, product well packaged, havent tested but everything looks to have went well."
"I ordered a compaq 5 port switch on thursday and I got it on monday. It was well packaged and included the invoice. I am very pleased."
"They refused to replace a defective hard drive by rejecting my package and voiding the warranty although it was packaged properly. They also didn't refund the wasted postage.
Very uncooperative company to deal with + poor quality. Avoid."
"Shipped in a timely time frame, what else could I complain about? Great service, will buy again if i see anything i like. "
"ordered a CPU, arrived in expected time frame, no problems."
"Found a good price for a 10x Samsung DVD-Rom drive through Pricewatch. The microtech site honored the price and shipped it for only $0.99. I ordered it on a Sunday night and received it via UPS ground on Wednesday.
I am very happy with the microtech experience."
"I am a second-time customer of MicroTechComputers (MTC) so I am disappointed that I have to write a negative review now. They don't seem to care about that, however, so let me continue.
I recently ordered something very simple: A "Designed and made by ATI" Radeon 64MB DDR 7000/VE video card. Instead, I received a no-name "OEM" Radeon (I guess, can't see the chip due to the heatsink) video card. Further, "ATI" doesn't appear ANYWHERE on the card and the FCC ID# returns "AMD" as being the maker with the rest of the numbers in the FCC ID string returning no result at all! What BS!
I e-mailed MTC about this and got a terse message back saying "if you are not happy with your purchase, simply send it back for a refund"...no apoligies, no concern, no explanation...nothing.
I told them it wasn't a matter of me being "unhappy with my order"...if they had sent me what I ordered I would have been quite happy! I told them to SEND me the item I actually ordered and then I'd send this no-name card back to them in the same box...I have had NO response from MTC since.
Doesn't that say it all?
Besides stating the card was Designed and made by ATI (not "Powered by" as the OEM stuff is), AND the image of the item clearly being a true ATI product, I got something else entirely; it didn't even look the same. A pretty sorry thing to do but it's also criminal. But I can't do much else about it now...
...except here where the pen truly is mightier than the sword: I think it's time for MicroTechComputers to feel the power of a negative rating on Resellerratings...at least enough to lose some business they otherwise would have had which will end up in the long run costing them MUCH more than the item in question. How shortsighted of them.
At best I'd rate them as inconsistent, at worse criminals.
I suggest that you look elsewhere for your computer components...there are plenty of MUCH better rated and reliable vendors out there. It's just not worth ordering from these guys wondering if they'll send you what you ordered or send you something else. Also, if you DO have a problem -- like I did -- then you risk them just ignoring you -- like happened to me.
Shop elsewhere."
"I received my order within 3 days of placing it. Everything was exactly as I had expected and I saved a good amount purchasing from them."
"I got a great deal on a Geforce2 card that I saw on pricewatch. Shipping was only 99 cents and it came in like 5 days after I ordered! That's pretty sweet if you ask me!!
I haven't tested the card yet since the other components haven't came in yet from the other companies. The drivers CD is a dud, but that's ok since I can get them from Nvidia's site anyway. "
"I ordered an OEM AMD Athlon XP 2200+ CPU from MicroTech. I received the CPU well packaged and in the timeframe expected. Shipping was free and the price was among the lowest on Pricewatch. I installed the CPU and it worked. What more could you ask for!"
