"I found their web site while searching for a parts supplier for the new gaming pc I'm planning to build. I'm a disabled veteran with a lot of time on my hands, and I spend a lot of time on my 10 year-old computer, which is finally getting ready to give up the ghost. Micro Center Web Store appeared to have all the components I would need for the build, and I prefer to support smaller businesses rather than the common retail giants. On 11/25/19, I started by ordering some memory. I assumed they have a Black Friday sale coming up, so I decided to wait a bit before ordering the rest of the components. Well, they did have a good Black Friday sale - with good prices on the processor, motherboard and video card that I wanted, as well as many other smaller components. Unfortunately every one of them was marked "Unavailable Online" or "In Store Only". Okay, I kind of understand. They want to bring customers into their physical stores so they can shop around and buy more items than they had originally planned on. That makes some sense for a Black Friday sale, so I figured I'd just wait a couple more days until Cyber Monday and order my components then. Everybody knows that Cyber Monday is when all the online retailers put their merchandise on sale for those who prefer to shop online, don't live near a particular store or don't want to push a wheelchair down the isles of Best Buy or Walmart on Black Friday, right? No problem. Well, I stayed up all night on Sunday and way into Monday morning, waiting for someone to flip the switch and turn on the Cyber Monday sales - Never happened. It is now Tuesday and everything is as it was, The processor is still marked "Unavailable Online" as is the motherboard, the video card and numerous other components. It's clear that Micro Center doesn't care about the online shoppers, and I think they should just remove the Web Store from their website completely. I would have easily spent $1000+ on their products had they been available. As it is, I'm removing Micro Center from my favorites list and taking my business somewhere else. I give them one star for a decent price on the memory I bought. It might have been two stars if I had actually received that memory. As I said, I ordered it on 11/25 (early AM) and it is now 12/3. The only thing I've heard from them is one email saying they received my order. No shipping information, no tracking number - nothing. Well that's what they'll get from me from now on."

"I stayed awake overnight anticipating the launch of the Ryzen 3950X processor, knowing that this high-demand item would sell out in minutes when put on sale in the morning hours. I was ecstatic to have my order go through at Micro Center and get a notification from my credit card company that my card was charged. 5 hours later, after other retailers launched their sales and sold out, Micro Center emails me and tells me they can't fulfill my order because they don't have stock left. I likely would have gotten the product from another retailer had I known that I didn't actually have a claim to an order at Micro Center, but since Micro Center's system likes to sell product it does not have, I got screwed. Do not trust Micro Center. "

"I recently reserved a new monitor online but had a brain fart when I got home. I noticed that the monitor was only 1080p (instead of 1440) and thought I wasn't paying very close attention when I made my reservation. I assumed that a 1440p version didn't exist. I was looking at a Micro Center ad today and saw my monitor in the 1440 version, then checked my receipt. There was a mix-up, and I had been given the wrong monitor at the reservations desk. Austin at Micro Center helped me exchange monitor I had been using for two weeks for the correct one. This was a completely easy and painless experience thanks to unique serial numbers on items and great customer service."
