No problems here!

"Have made at least 8 orders over the past year and have never had a problem. There might be some delays with the postal service but my last 2 orders for boxes of premium cigars arrived in a flash. I've had some that were a little firm, but a short while in my humidor fixed that. It's something you should be doing anyways. I've communicated via email and they have been prompt in their replies. My cigars are exactly what I've ordered and I've been enjoying my smokes since. Glad i found Mike's and their great prices!"

Horrible company!!

"Do not buy from this company. They are scammers. I purchased cigars for a Christmas gift on Nov 27. Christmas is gone...still no cigars!! I have emailed..called wasted time to no avail. They took my money from my PayPal account and did not deliver the product.
Live and learn. I am out the money but is now in dispute through PayPal. I purchased these thru Groupon.

How do they survive?

"I went to the physical store in Bal Harbour to buy $100 worth of cigars at around 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29th. There were two people working , a man and a woman. They were both occupied with their respective phones. When I asked them about a specific brand they just told me hesitantly that they should have it, and that it would be against the wall. They pointed at the room were they keep probably hundreds of cigar boxes, which look pretty much the same. When I asked them about a different brand their response was the same: they pointed me to the room and said "it should be in there, against the wall." The door to this little room was probably 8 feet away from where these two people were sitting . it's hard for me to understand why they did not volunteer to get in there and help me find the Brands I was looking for. It's even harder for me to understand how those people can hold a job, and how that store can survive."

Disappointed to say the least...

"I placed an order through Groupon for the sampler with torch lighter. First after I placed the order I had to go back and redeem the purchase in order to complete my order (which I wasn’t aware of prior) but I digress. Here’s the worst part: I finally get the order and they were these tiny little cigars nothing like it was advertised. So I went back to check perhaps I missed the fine print... wrong! Nothing, nowhere did it mention that these would be mini cigars...FALSE ADVERTISEMENT...for sure. This was for a Christmas gift to cigar smoker. I find it embarrassing insulting to give mini cigars to someone who is an experienced cigar smoker that smokes the large cigars on a regular basis. Meanwhile what they advise is not at all what I did receive. So never again!!! In the interim, no one absolutely no one has replied to any of my emails where prior they replied instantly and I am yet to hear from them!!!! You only fool me once! DONE!!!"

Rudest Customer Service Experience Ever

"I would give a negative amount of stars if I could. I ordered a Havana sampler kit with a lighter for Christmas and provided my address. USPS returned it to sender, stating the house is vacant (mind you there are cars in the driveway and it is certainly not vacant). My delivery email said to call customer service if I didn't receive it, and I did so. I calmly explained my situation to the first woman I spoke to, who transferred me. I did the same with the second woman, again no signs of aggression at all. I then was transferred again to a man. At this point I slightly expressed my frustration at getting transferred so many times, to which he responded "Yes. You gave us address (address). Who lives there?" Already a cold response. I responded me and my family, and he said that USPS determined it was vacant and I should take it up with my mail carrier. I was put off by this immediately. I said I definitely live there and would like a refund since it can't get here for Christmas. This man told me that he could not refund me since I "didn't pay him a penny," referring me to take up the issue with the postal service and Groupon.

To this I responded that I would just dispute the charge on my bank account. He said "There you go!" I recommended he and his team change their attitudes, and he actually had the gall to tell me that I should change my attitude! I told him that I was reporting him to the BBB and hung up.

Don't give them your business. They deserve to go under.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

"Although I have purchased many times from Mike’s Cigars for over 20+ years, I had recently purchased a package that contained one (1) torch lighter. The package was an upgrade with a higher purchase price.
When I received the package, I excitedly broke out a cigar, and went to light it with the enclosed torch lighter that was part of the deal. When I pressed the button to start the lighter, an initial sound of butane escaping from the lighter came out, but the flame did not ignite. After several attempts, I could not get the lighter to light nor would any butane come out of the chamber.
The following day, I decided to contact Mike’s Cigars to let them know about the defective lighter. Their response was that I needed to add fluid, and then it would work. I have been using torch lighters for years, and I am familiar with refilling them, and I had often done that with older lighters. There was plenty of butane in the lighter; in fact the lighter was full.
When I explained to them again that the fuel was not the issue, they returned my complaint with some excuse that because of Federal Regulations, they could not ship lighters with lighter fluid in them. This excuse is a lie. Shipments of lighters with fluid in them are allowed via land, but not air. The USPO will ship lighters with fluid in them as will all other ground shipping companies. Again, I told them the lighter is full of butane, but they insist the lighter is empty. I even offered to send them a picture showing there was fluid in the lighter.
Had this truly been the situation, shouldn’t Mike’s Cigars put in the package description that they were going to send you a lighter that will not work unless you add butane yourself? This disclaimer cannot be found on any of their advertisements, because it is not true.
Had Mike’s Cigars addressed my brand new broken torch lighter, I would not have written this negative review, but their insistence that the lighter is out of fluid is false, and there is no reason to put more fluid into the lighter because it does not work. The upgraded package that was purchased was more than enough to cover the cost of a torch lighter and then some, so they would not had lost any money at all by replacing the defective lighter. Turn to reputable mail order cigar companies like Thompson or JR Cigars.

Stale and hard!

"Ordered a holiday sample of feuntas with 2 opusx totaling in 10 cigars for my husband. When the order came my hudband was excited but once he started smoking excitement was the last thing from his mind. The cigars were all hard as rocks. And the one he smoked fell apart as he was smoking it and was then ruined. I emailed the CS and they responded that out of hundreds of these boxes being sold my email was the only one they received that complained of anything. I was shocked your telling me hundreds of ppl bought this box and every single person loved them and we just happen to get the stale box? They refused a refund or another box. I just will NEVER order from them again. Spread the word Mikes Cigars is a joke!"

Bad practices. Deceiving descriptions.

"I Ordered an introductory set of the 5 packs for new customers and was really happy with those so I went back and figured I'd give their grab bags a go and see how they arrive. The description notes "Top flight smokes" and "Quality premium" and nowhere did any of the description fit what I actually received. At $16 for a bakers dozen I expected at least one half way decent smoke and the rest cheapo cigars. I bought two grab bags and both bags were sub-par, lowest of the low cigars. I was a bit disappointed but I was actually considering trying the other two types of grab bags they have until I realized they never posted my honest review. I told it like it was and they neglected to let the review stick. Obviously can't handle the truth and therefor won't get any more of my business. I should have heeded the warning from friends and other reviews. The 20 cigar order I originally placed was super worth it and the free shipping was nice but this if for sure a lasso approach. They more than made their money as a result of my ignorance. Sorry guys. Never again. "

"Ordered 5 single cigars. Rocky Patel vintage. They arrived within 48 hours of completing checkout. Packaged well with humidity packs. Received emails throughout the entire process. Very satisfied. Great company."

Very poor customer service

"I made a small order and was in no rush and selected the more economical delivery service. I received a notification the evening they were due that the cigars were left in my mailbox. After looking and checking out other areas that we normally get a package there were no cigars. I sent a message to the company letting them know. About 90 minutes later I get a email from them stating the same message and that I need to contact them if there were any problems. I replied to that email stating the same thing.
The next morning I get another stating that I chose the shipping method and repeated the same delivery information as the previous night.
I called to talk to someone and they basically made me feel like they didn't care. I chose the cheaper method and if I wanted to find my cigars that I needed to go contact the shippers. After being handed off to a 2nd rep they finally said they would open a ticket with the USPS to find my cigars.
Based on my phone call it seems that they don't really care much after they get their money and the cigars leave their store.
The cigars eventually showed up but after that debacle I will take my business elsewhere.
Ordering online makes it more convenient. But where you have to fight with the store and do the investigation yourself to get the product actually delivered that convenience goes away.

Bait and Switch

"Classic scam. I purchased a promotional variety pack from them, which was supposed to contain 9 cigars. Only 8 were delivered and none of the 8 were the ones I was supposed to receive. One didn’t even have a band. I called their customer service line to try to fix the error. The agent on the line cut me off and told me I had to email with pictures to their customer service email. No response from them so far. "

Mikes Cigars Not what is cracked up to be.

"Do your homework before ordering from them. Mike's Cigars, Customer service is not the best with emails I had with them, I myself would not order from them at all. Just my opinion. Found a place online with the same cigars 25.00 cheaper. The CS rep said can I send them the site and they will beat the price by 10 bucks. So I sent it, The person call me a lair saying the website he thought was not real. I even sent him the number of the place to call, The place is in NY. It is as real as can be. So I ordered from them over phone, Its a business in NY. All I am saying is do your homework, Google the cigar you want and look up the company reviews and service. Mike's Cigars is not the place people think it is. I do not like when someone calls me a lair. Another thing, I think the person wanted to call me and I never leave my number with a company, I get several of these types of phone calls per week. Don't need them. Plus you get emails to prove you are right in what I am saying. The way I like it."
