"Ordered 3 Xbox Pre-Mods and 2 Xecuter 3 CE modchips from ModChipMan. I was a little hesitant, since the order total was over $1k. However, I had quick replies to my pre-sale questions and constant communication throughout the ordering process. I was expecting a 2-3 week turn-around time, but to my surprise I received my Fed Ex tracking number a few days later and received my order 2 days after that! Everything was packed well (double boxed), except one pre-mod had a loose modchip -- though I recognized the problem right away and was easily fixable. Only one negative that I can come up with is that each pre-mod was missing the included Forza game that was stated on the website. However, since I don't really care for that game (not a racing fan) and have most of the games I play already, wasn't such a huge deal. Overall, great service and turn around time on pre-mods and great service! Tempted to order another pre-mod from them soon, w/ a bigger HD and more extras!"

"Not worthy for firmware 1.5!!!
I just paid $350($100 extra of street price) for a PSP with firmware 1.5. While the service was great and I got my unit fast, it just happened that my PSP had a dead pixel, which is a pixel that goes white over a black background, very annoying. While this is a common problem for PSPs as I learned, this company doesn't take responsability for this, they send you directly to Sony for warranty, which by the time you get it back, most likely it's going to be converted to a recent firmware, which is not going to allow you to do the cool thinkgs you can do with 1.5. (as I call Sony they cannot guarantee that the frimware will remain)
So if you want a psp with 1.5 I recommend looking for it at a retailer, maybe Gamestop, I hear they still carry some, and if you have dead pixels they'll exchange it for you.
Modchipman has a refund policy, but they take 15% off for restocking, and also there has to be no scratches or anything on the screen, and that's a problem of trust with them that since this last incident I do have.
So stay away if you plan to purchase firmware 1.5, there's no point in buying an overpriced unti that you're going to have to take to Sony eventually, in that case, buy it from Target, if it goes wrong, return it."

"I ordered the XTender2 add on for the XBox that allows me to add 2 hard drives to my XBox. It didn't work. I logged onto Modchipman's website on a SUNDAY NIGHT and they had 3 people at once helping me. Turned out the IDE cable was defective and without hesitation they are sending me a new one. I mean these guys treat their customers like I ordered from Amazon.com or something. Great, great website, I can't believe any other modchip websites exist with them around. If these guys get any less than a 9.9 rating it's because some kid is complaining they won't take back his PS2 mod chip that has scotch tape and solder all over it. Great guys."

Be careful purchasing cross border from this vendor, they overstates the value of my purchase ($15ish) at $50.00 which doubled the cost of the purchase by adding on unnecessary customs / duties charges. Company was unresponsive to my inquiry regarding charges. No customer service there... "

"I had purchased a premodded PS2 with hard drive and DMS 4 Pro SE chip and hd connect. The order took a while to process. I had to wait about 20 business days to have my order shipped. I was able to get a hold of a customer service rep who assured me my order would be out however there was a delay due to many orders being placed. Once I recieved my ps2 it was in perfect running condition however my hard drive was not shipped. I let customer service know and they had my hard drive shipped overnight. Now my ps2 is running perfectly with my hard drive. Despite the wait getting the order, my experience was great. I'd rather have a fully functional product than a system that was put together carelessly to meet the demand of other customers. I can honestly say that I will do business with this business again."

"I am not very pleased with this store. I ordered my product in the middle of January and never received it until the end of February (almost 6 weeks). Apparently they hit delays with their orders, which is fine, but they never kept me informed as to what was happening. I had to inquire about the status and it literally took 3-4 days for a response from them. The very first response I recieved was totally bogus as it never answered my question at all. After that, their responses to my inquiries were better but they still took multiple days to receive the response. The product did arrive exactly as they advertised and in complete working order, but the time it took to receive was very disappointing. I probably won't do business with this company in the future."

I have just recently bought a Premodded PS2 with the DMS4 Pro SE Chip from ModChipMan and I have to say i have no clue why some people leave bad reviews cause this was my first purchase with them and it was a good one. I have refferred them to a few friends and i hope they buy from them cause they have quality products and they definately know what they are doing. kfree helped me out alot cause at the time i didnt have the money to buy the warrenty with it and he hooked me up with it. Thanx kfree. I would recommend them to all for your modding. They did a great job and my PS2 works flawlessly. Thanx again and I look forward to buying again in the future."

"It took me a while to figure out how to contact them, and waiting for the support ticket was tedious. I finally got on IRC through their "live support" link on the top right of their site. Once I got a response on there (5-10 min wait, I had given up and was just packing it in when I did get a response) I was helped quickly and excellently.

The PSP faceplate was in my hand the next day, which amazed the heck out of me.
