Pros: price, options. Cons: shipping times quoted are subject to change. haven't gotten system yet but provided it is okay I would still use them again just not if it were time sensitive. Rec'd system last night. First of all, what an incredible packing job. They take it seriously! Inside, everything was tied off. All of he software and extras were neatly placed in a seperate box.
Bottom line: Not exactly thrilled that the shipping took longer than promised but the product was exactly what I ordered at a great price. Would recommend them and would use them again."

"Ordered the eVGA GeForce 7800GT CO SE 256MB video card 2/17/06 for my brother plus it was a great price. Turns out my brother doesn't need it, and I cancel my order on 2/20/06. My credit card was immediately charged. I called customer service as soon as I noticed the charge. They told me I would see the refund soon.
Here I sit on March 7th, no refund, no merchandise and Monarch doesn't seem to care. Caution: Monarch will take your money and run. I'm never shopping there again."
"I bought a custom PC with A8V-E motherboard from Monarch. I had cheery customer service during purchasing. Throughout the life of the PC I had random strange lockups and lost cmos data (cmos battery was/is good). Lately it had gotten so bad that after XPSP2 and Apps (always the same apps) that programs locked up and would fail to load new ones stopping at .5 to .75 loading. Disc images from GHOST, DISKIMAGE and ACRONIS where all corrupt (tried several times on different media). Conclusion - bad A8V-E.
To troubleshoot I changed ram/hd/sata ports/ide ports, memory banks, you name it. Sent the pc back with an RMA to have a look at the Motherboard.
It is still on the bench (thier word not mine) and they say it passes the diagnostic tests. Anyone who is a PC enthusiast knows that bad components can pass tests.
Today as a favor my wife tried to call them. She was on hold for over 30 minutes then was disconnected. When she called back nobody was there. I called immediately, no one was there.
We are going on 3 weeks with a computer I depend on to VPN for work, although I do some gaming on it.
The communication from Monarch's tech support is less than spectacular. I would be treated much better if I where buying a new system.
They have been sluggish, unresponsive, bad listeners, and have me deeply concerned. I paid quite a bit of money for that PC with a 3 year (worthless apparently) warranty. Emails and voicemails go unanswered. This is NOT what I expect from a company like Monarch.
I was even going to upgrade the CPU and Video card upon resolution of the motherbord issue ($sales!$).
I do not know the outcome, but to this point and time I am very upset at the situation. If it gets any worse I will tell my experience from [H]ardOCP, Anandtech all the way to Sharkeys.
I do not want to be a jerk, but they are not treating us with the consideration deservered of someone who showed confidence in Monarch by buying a 3 year warranty.
If I had to do it again, I would have eaten the cost of the Motherboard, bought the Video and CPU at NewEgg, and had it all done within 4 days.
I will be lucky to have the Motherboard replaced within a months time. Monarchs computers are good, but god help you if you need repair..."
"This was my second order from Monarch in less then 2 weeks. First i ordered a power supply and recieved it in three days(as opposed to the week it was supposed to take).
Ordered a CPU/Motherboard combo(the components were actually cheaper then buying seperately!). Recieved it in about a weeks time. It probably would have arrived sooner had i not ordered on a saturday evening. It came with the retail box and all the cables included as well as the latest BIOS installed. Put my sysem together and it booted with no issue.
I highly recommend Monarch and i will most likely go there first when making my next computer parts purchase."
