"I placed an order on 2/18 and didn't receive shipping info until a week later on 2/25. Only then did they inform me that an item was backordered. They provided me with no information as to when it would be in stock. The item is still listed as "In stock- usually ships in 1-2 days." The item was NOT in stock, nor did any of my items ship in 1-2 days.
When I told them to cancel the backordered item, they gave me some lie about it being shipped later tonight. Obviously, I didn't receive any shipping info. Just cancel my order when I TELL YOU TO!!!"

Finally got my money back thanks to Sterling who is a store manager. If you want satisfaction talk to Sterling he will fix it.

Do not buy from this store. They are crooks. Purchased memory from this store and it was incompatible with my system. I called for RMA and was told that I would get full store credit which I can use within 1 year. No restocking fee was mentioned. I made another purchase right away to replace the memory I just returned. Actually this purchase was by suggestion from the rep. I had to RMA it too because it was not performing as advertised. This time I was told about restocking fee but I was told if I apply this RMA to my next purchase I would not be charged restocking fee. So I made the third purchase and received emails (after they received second RMA back) that in both cases I would be charge restocking fee. Why would I buy anything from them if I knew right from very beginning I would be charge restocking fee. They lied to me twice so I canceled the third order and would never buy from them again, EVER. "
"My original thoughts on the company www.monarchcomputer.com lies below. Someone from the company got in contact with me and my perception of their company as a whole has changed. They are willing to work with me and are going to satisfy my needs as a customer which is what should be expected from companies we shop at. I would actually recommend them to other shoppers, and I am happy that they are willing to actually help me, I know that few companies would have took the extra step that Monarch took.
This is the worst company ever to buy computer parts from. I would never recommend them to anyone, nor will I ever shop from them again. I ordered two AMD MP processors, one was not working correctly and came up as a 2400, the other came up as an MP 2400. I ordered two 2600's. The tech support guy claimed that I was using the wrong type of memory which is why the processors came up at a lower model number in BIOS... Which to me did not make any sense. He then claimed that I needed to change the front side bus, and that would make the processor show up as a different model number. That did not make much sense to me either. My initial problem wasn't really that the support guy said that I had the wrong configuration, more so it was the fact that his tone and how he presented the issue before me put me into a defensive position that was really uncomfortable. As a customer when you have a problem with something the last thing you want to hear from a support specialist is that it is your fault. What you really want is "support". What a lot of support specialists do not realize is that this can be something small and simple, it doesn't take much to satisfy the average person. In fact if right off the bat the gentlemen told me that I could get in-store credit or two new CPU's, I would not have such a negative view of the company.
After over an hour on the phone in total time waited and spent talking to the support "specialist", I finally got them to send two other processors. Both of which arrived DOA. I am currently trying to get a hold of www.monarchcomputer.com, but to no avail. What a horrible shopping experience."

Decided a few months ago to build a computer from scratch, and this would be my second go at this kind of project. Used Monarch's 'combo' page on their website to pick a motherboard, cpu, and memory combination, at was way impressed with how easy that went. Thought their prices were in line with other online stores, but what really made me go with them was the fact that, for free, they would install the cpu and memory on the motherboard and bench test everything before shipping.
Yes, I am well able to install those things myself, however, since I was investing about a thousand bucks, somehow just knowing that what was showing up on my doorstep actually worked, that was way important.
The bottom line is I am 100% satisfied with Monarch and will do business with them again. "

"I am not the type of person who usually posts anywhere for any reason. I felt this time warranted an exception. I ordered from Monarch with some cautious reservation. That was my biggest mistake. My barebones setup arrived ahead of schedule and was delivered with extreme packing and absolutely required a signature. It contained all the extra parts that had come with all the individual components. The PC was put together extremely well and as promised. I was apprised of the build process every step of the way. The free gifts that were promised were delivered. Not only will I buy from them again, I will recommend them to everyone I know. I will also mention that besides one item, every part ordered through them to put the PC together matched or beat any price I could find online. I have not needed their support but somehow I am not concerned. By the way, love the machine. Exceptional experience, period. "

"I am not impressed with Monarch Computers. I ordered 2 video cards from them on the 16th of Feb. and it is now the 22nd and they just now, as a matter of minutes, got it boxed up and ready to ship out. I emailed them twice, only one was responded to, and I also called them twice. The second time I called, the call representitive put me on hold and physically went back into the warehouse and boxed it up personally.
One good thing, however, is that they upgraded my shipping package to Fed Ex 2-day instead of 3-day.

A Monarch manager called me from his personal phone at 7 PM PST (10 PM EST, his time) and we resolved some of my issuses that I had, and he answered a lot of questions as well. He informed me that the problems which I faced will shortly be rectified. They really do care about their customers and their satisfaction."
