I bought a combo mb/processor/memory system plus some oher component just before Xmas 05 and received everything 3 days after very well packed, and in perfect workign conditions.
Order again a disk drive in Feb and got the same level of great service.

"Submitted order for a graphics card through Monarch's web site on Monday 02/13/06.

Called on Thursday 02/15 to find out when it would ship and was told the card I ordered was a bit of a 'specialty' item that they don't keep on hand.

They had to order it from their distributor before they could ship. I was told they had received it Thurday morning and it would go out that night (3 business days after order was placed).

Friday morning I checked my credit card's web site to discover Monarch had charged me immediately after I placed the order on Monday.

Apparently they automatically apply charges at the time an order is placed even for items they don't keep in stock. That is enough to tell me this is not a professionally run retail outfit.

I called on Friday morning and was again told the card would ship that night.

Cancelled my order and won't order from them again.

UPDATE:
I called back to ask about the credit for this and was told the rep I talked to last week was mistaken and they do stock the card I had ordered (they also said they stock nearly all of the other items listed on their web site).

The rep this time was more helpful and I am re-issuing the order with Monarch.

"I have alot of good things to say about this company. To start, i found the website easy to navigate through. Everything is very well organized and divided into categorys that make sense. In regards of pricing, im a licensed reseller in Louisiana. I have vendor accounts with some of the biggest warehouses in the US but that only matters when your buying 20-30 of the same items at a time. When your shopping for only 1 or 2, maybe even 10, Monarch has the competition beat. Processing and shipping is very fast and the communication is unmatched. The only thing i can say is i prefer UPS and its not offered yet. The FED-EX service in my area is unreliable. If your considering doing business with them, do it. You wont regret a minuite of it."

"I'm happy to see that monarchcomputers does their best to acknowledge their customers with A+ service. Their prices are very good, I found a X1900XTX (latest badass card) on monarch for about 70 bucks cheaper than newegg's products. I had some credit card issues (address) that needed to be resolved which the card couldn't be shipped until everything was good. I still haven't recieved a tracking number and I thought all hope was gone. I'm a hardcore gamer with low-level of patience, and to my surprise I get a phone call from monarch on a thursday night. They apologize for the delay, and promised it would be here saturday morning!! :). "I ordered a video card from them on November 21, 2005, they confirmed to ship it on Nov 29. They charged my credit card immediately although the card was out of stock. I had sent an email stating I would not like to keep the order past mid December, I got no response, no email, no calls.

The way I was seeing this is Monarch kept my money and did not deliver the card. When the newer gereration card came out, I immediately called and switched the order, the change was processed and I was sent the card.

Up until this afternoon, my feelings were they had a business model that forced people to buy from them by keeping the funds on out of stock orders.

This afternoon I recieved a call from Monarch Computers, and after our conversation I am left with the impression Monarch understood where the problems were and are striving to improve. I no longer think they were trying to hold onto my money just for that purpose.

I will give them credit for the effort they have made after my initial posting here.
