"I had a problem with my order but their manager called me after hours and worked as hard as he could to get everything done to my satisfaction.http://www.planetamd64.com/index.php?showtopic=9336&pid=91382&st=20entry91382. I have never had a company do they things that they have done just to make me happy... MONARCH GETS A MUST BUY FROM RATING"
"I ordered a motherboard combo which I expected to take awhile to assemble and test. It was done in one day and shipped out very quickly, even considering I ordered it over the 4th of July holiday. The combo worked with problems. E-mail communication about the status of the order was great. Very good company to do business with."
"Good price, shipped fast, no problems. This was my first order from Monarch, and I will definitely consider them again."
"Great outfit, fast, accurate, good prices. I Will use again. I have used them for a long time and have never been disappointed in them or their service. They use Fedex shipping which gets your parts to you faster."
"First time order from Monarch. Website is easy to navigate and price is good. No tax for CA is another plus. No experience with CS or Tech Support yet. So far so good. I would sure put this store on my top list for my computer need."
"I was very satisfied with Monarch's pricing on the 3 hard drives I purchased. The order arrived on time and the drives were well packaged."
"If you're considering Monarch to build a new PC for you, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. I ordered a custom system in early June and was promised that it would arive within 13 days. After 9 days of my computer being in the "production scheduling phase" I called Monarch to ask what was going on. They told me that they hadn't started on my computer yet, but that they would right away (keep in mind that they said they would email me if there were any delays, and they didn't, plus they assured me every time I called that all the parts necessary to build my system were in stock). My order status changed to "build phase" that day, but after another business week of inactivity in that category I called back, and they told me they needed "3 more days." 3 days later I called them back and they said once again that they needed 3 more days.
I finally got my computer this past week, and found that they had not partitioned my hard drives at all (something I had paid them $30 extra to do, but they did at least refund the money). I called tech support 4 or 5 times on various days during regular business hours only to get an answering machine, and when I finally got them on the phone, they told me I would have to buy a floppy drive before he could help me re-install Windows and my SATA drivers in order to re-partition the hard drives. The reason I paid the $49 build fee as opposed to the $18 barebones fee was because I didn't want to have to install Windows or buy a floppy to install my SATA drivers. They told me I could send it back to them and they would do fix the problem, but considering how long it took them to get it to me in the first place, I'd rather not send it back. At this point I feel like I've been ripped off by Monarch, and I should have just ordered the parts and built the computer myself. Also, I bought this computer to use for freelance graphics work (my old computer will no longer run the software needed), and I have lost business from not having had use of it for so long.
After I called them and told them it would be cheaper for them to send me a floppy drive for free than it would for them to pay the shipping necessary to send my computer back to them, they agreed to send me the floppy. I called them yesterday and they told me that it had been shipped the day before and it must be a problem on my end that caused me not to get the shipping notification (they had said the same thing about my system 2 weeks before it actually shipped, so I was fairly sure this was also a lie, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt). The floppy drive should have arrived today but did not. I will be having jaw surgery on Monday and will not be able to speak to anyone on the phone (including Monarch tech support) for quite awhile, a fact which I made them aware of several times, but that apparently did not matter to them as they still have not sent the drive. I have spent too much time without the use of this computer, and I suspect that (unless the floppy drive miraculously arrives tomorrow) I will have to pay for their mistakes with more of my own money by taking my computer to a local repair shop.
They did at least do a good tie-off job, and the computer did boot right out of the box, but that's about all I can say for them.
I was very surprised to have such a negative experience with a company that has such great reviews all over the internet. I had recommended Monarch to several people shortly after ordering my system, but I have now told those people to avoid Monarch at all costs.
At this point I would NEVER do business with Monarch again no matter how much cheaper they appear than their competitors. It's just not worth the hassle. The reason I bought this system was to use it over the summer for freelance work, etc. and now the summer is almost over and I still haven't got a system I can use.
Update: After I posted this review, Monarch tried very hard to help me get my computer up and running, and even offered to refund my original build fee. After spending an entire weekend on the phone with tech support, I had to do some research and fix a few major problems on my own. This was not Monarch's fault, however. I was having some strange problems with the drivers on my motherboard CD that fortunately many others had dealt with, so I was able to get info online about how to fix the issues I was having. I'm sure that Monarch would have done everything in their power to help me at that point (they had offered to send out an on-site tech for free), but I needed the system to be in working order before they would have been able to get it fixed. I'd like to thank Kevin in tech support for spending so much of his weekend time on the phone with me. I'm not sure that I would feel confident ordering a system from Monarch again, but I am satisfied with my purchase at this point."
"MONARCH IS THE BEST OF THE BEST. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE.
Monarch has really impressed me. This is a great company. I bought a custom, gaming system from them a few months ago. Recently, I had a hardware problem, and, due to bad experiences with another computer company (hint: it rhymes with Hell), thought I might have trouble getting the problem resolved. Not only did Monarch resolve the problem, they exceeded my expectations.
Any company can sell computer parts. If you're looking for an ethical company that stands by its products, values its customers, and truly exemplifies outstanding customer service, then give Monarch your business. Sorry to proselytize, but great companies like this one deserve to succeed. I will only buy computers from them from now on.
If you have an issue with your purchase, give them the opportunity to resolve it."
"Good pricing, everything was on time, optimized whe it hit my door.
I'd buy from them again."
"Monarch computer offered excellent pricing and the item arrived in a timely manner, well packaged and in good condition. I am very satisfied with my experience with MonarchComputer.com"
"From the comments here on resellerratings.com, I had rather high expectations. When I made the order I also had some special requests which I didn't expect much of. Well, not only did they meet my request, but they surpassed it spectacularly! I'm no less than very impressed, and will most certainly do business with Monarch again."
"RMA promised to pay for return Fed Ex air. RMA manager promised to pay the bill, too. Monarch only promises verbally. No paper trail on their side.
It is six months now and still no payment for Fed Ex."

"I had a problem with my order from this store. However, they are currently helping me fix the problem. Their customer service is very helpful."
"I ordered an Connect3D X800 XL OEM card with free ground shippping. It came in a retail box and they had upgraded the shipping to Fedex Super Saver. I love Monarch's prices and no tax/shipping cost to CA. Saves me a bundle!"
