Email received notifying me that they could not verify my shipping address with the credit card company: Early morning of 7/8/05 (2 full business days had passed)
I called my credit card company and verified the data was correct, and notified monarch computers via email at 2 different email addresses that the data was correct and they should reverify the credit card data. That email was sent at 8:05 am on Friday.
Today 7/9/2005 at 12:45 I have received no response to my email, no shipping confirmation.

This vendor has a problem with their communication system, and that problem has caused them to delay shipping my order for 3 days, (and I bet it wont go out today cause it is saturday, thus making for a delay of 5 days)

I have requested that they upgrade my order to free overnight shipping due to this delay, no response after one full business day.

Note: I have purchased from this company in the past without problems, and today received purchases from 2 other computer parts suppliers.

Update 7/12/2005 Monarch customer service responded to my problem and fully resolved my problems. Their staff reviewed my problem and acted actively to deal with the problem. They also upgraded my order to free overnight shipping and the product was received overnight as promised."

One of the best customer support if you contact them directly through phone or email, not their general email, but through the person email themselves. To whom this may concern:

I order several parts from Monarch Computer Systems recently, and my order still has not been shipped. I emailed them multiple times and received a response twice. My last two emails has not been responded to as of yet. One of the responses promised that it would be shipped and arrive on Friday. Thursday came along, and it still has not been shipped. I ask why. They responded that their last batch of DFI boards had arrived damaged and it would be shipped that night. Nope, it was not shipped and Friday came. I received an email apologizing for the delay asking me if overnight is okay, so that it would arrive Saturday(Today). I approved if it was not on my dime. But today, Saturday, it is still NOT shipped. So I call the BS on the "damaged" DFI boards, or else it would have been shipped by now. I'll update this as soon as I get more responses from Monarch.

DO NOT ORDER FROM MONARCH IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY TO GET YOUR PARTS!

EDIT: After talking over with one of the reps and figuring out what happened. It finally shipped Monday and arrived Tuesday. 13 days total to get parts."

"Nice people who work hard to get it right. Many problems in shipping and order information. Difficult to get accurate status of order. On the other hand, when it was clear that they would be late in shipping, they upgraded to next day Saturday delivery, which is extraordinary. This is not as automatic as Newegg, but is definitely with a try."

I actually feel guilty for not getting back to this sooner but I've been enjoying my new rig so much that I lost track of time.:-)

I have no negative comments to make about Monarch at all. My new rig is perfect and I feel like I received the very best PC that money can buy for a lot less than most companies charge for anything comparable, period. In addition, I sincerely believe that they aren't happy unless they have a satisfied customer even though some of us are harder to satisfy and others are impossible.;-) Thus, if you buy a complete system from them and call about a problem, they WILL find someone to help you, no matter how busy they are. You just can't find service like that anymore.
So if want a system built from the best components available by a company that really strives to make its customers happy and will do it cheaper than you could build it yourself; then Monarch is the company to buy from. Combine that with having a huge selection of components to choose from and you can build a system that is EXACTLY what you want and not what someone else thinks is what you should want. You get what you pay for and only pay for what you really want; just doesn't get any better than that!
I rate Monarch a 10/10 and highly recommend them. I count this as one of the best purchases I've ever made and I plan to do business with them again. To me that says more than any numerical rating ever could.

I decided to give Monarch a chance since my company has had good experiences with them and all the props my friends have been giving their Monarch systems. Thus, I ordered a $3800 custom gaming rig with Nvidia's latest GPU and AMD's X2 4800+ on June 22, from Monarch. However, due to both high demand and limited availability of these and other components and no fault of Monarch's, my order had still not been processed as of July 5.
After noticing some new items were now available that I wanted and that several of the components in my order had dropped in price significantly, I gave Monarch a call to see if I could reconfigure my system.
Now it was not Monarch's fault that my order was taking so long and I guess they had no obligation to do so but they still allowed me to reconfigure my order. Thus, Monarch has turned a potentially unpleasant purchasing experience into a completely happy one, since the somewhat extended wait for my new rig is now offset by my knowing that at I'll still be receiving the latest and greatest technology available from a very reputable company. I think this says much about Monarch's dedication to customer satisfaction and I can only hope that Monarch's finished product will be as good as their customer service has been so far. Way to go Monarch! :-)
