"I was given a 14 yr old car, and it was from out of state. I went to Monroe since I have had good experiences before. I needed to get my car inspected, and an oil change. The inspection was probably to most intense one I have EVER seen. I understand that the car needs to be in good shape and should have no problems to drive. After about an hour, I watched them the whole time through the window, I had a customer rep come to me and told me we have some serious problems. I was a little baffled, but I went along. First he started with the tail light. We decided to replace it. Then he said that your tires are barely passable. After he kept pushing tires, I told him no. I will get them when I can afford them. They passed, so it was not on my concern. Then came the big whopper. I was told that my spring coil in my rear was broken. I told him ok, so how much? He said we usually do it in pairs and will cost me over a thousand. I will not pass inspection without it. I didn't have any extra money to spare for this, or at least this much. We are currently paying medical bills for my broken foot, and my wife cancer treatments. I asked him if this is the best he could do, and he said yes. He said I am going to have to fail you, and take your temp inspection sticker. He told me I can get some serious fines, I didn't do the work. I took my chances. I am glad I did, because I found a place willing to do it for a 1/3 of the cost. Yes 1/3 of the cost. Needless to say, I was not happy and will not use you again. Sorry, but I couldn't believe how much it was.

"I stopped by the Fairfax, Ohio location on a Saturday afternoon. I had an appointment scheduled for the following Monday, but was hoping that they might be able to work me in then. I was initially told that they wouldn't be able to get my car done until around 4pm that day (this was around noon). Before I could leave, though, the attendant chased me down in the parking lot and said they had an appointment that didn't show up and they could get to my car right away. About 20-25 minutes later, I was on my way with a Valvoline oil change at a fantastic price. Great folks and great service! Will definitely be going back!"
