"I've ordered a few times from this company. The first time was because I was looking for this supplement Dr. Oz talked about on his show, which was an african mango extract. I contacted a bunch of web sites but it was hard to track down. When I contacted mother nature, they got back to me within the day and said it was in-stock so I ordered this product for myself and for my sister-in-law right away and my order came within a week, so I was happy with that. I was a little leery at first because the price was so low and because I'm always worried about who I give my credit card information out to, but it worked out.
For my other orders with them, I made sure though to take advantage of the free shipping when you order a certain amount, which I didn't do the first time. So through my first few orders so far, it's been a good experience."

"2-3 years ago, MotherNature.com (MN) was a wonderful store. Having recently ordered, though, I find I am now VERY disappointed with MN.com.
1. On 9/25/10, I ordered three items from MN because of the low cost. One I really needed (Product 189337 Blubonnet MultiMinerals). I also ordered some Manganese and Vite D3.
2. I did not get a separate email confirmation, but the original order confirmation stated, "We appreciate your business. Please print this page for your records. If you have any questions about your order, please feel free to contact us."
3. I was relieved that I could contact them directly, and sat down to await my order.
4. My order didn't show up in a reasonable time, though, and I got worried because I hadn't gotten a separate email confirmation. Maybe my order had gotten lost at their end....? I decided to contact MN's customer service.
3. I checked their site in more detail to find their customer service phone number, and couldn't find it. I did learn, though, that my order would be delivered in 30 days from the date leaves their warehouse (not when it's ordered), and they could not give me a date it left their warehouse, because my order was on back order. I was unhappy becuase I'd ordered items which were "in stock," and they should have shipped immediately (in my mind). But I thought, "Give these folks a break. They've got some technical issues and probably outsource their shipping. Be patient and wait a bit more."
4. I waited a few more days, and decided I really needed my minerals, so I'd beteter contact them to confirm my ordered had at least been received. Like others on this (ResellerRatings.com) site, I could not find a contact number. I was directed to MN's "contact Us Wizard," which is a circular re-route loop which states "You can reach us through our Contact Us Wizard >> 24 hours a day - 7 days per week. Using our online question submit form is the fastest and most efficient way to answer your questions or resolve any problems you may have with your order. Our goal is to answer every question within 1-2 business days (often you hear back from us much quicker!)."
This statement is complete BS. Essentially, the "Contact Us Wizard" is an autoresponder which collects your email and (theoretically alerts someone -- somewhere -- sometime -- at MN to contact you. I was never contacted.
I waited another day and decidedd this was BS abd I would drive to WholeFoods Market and purchase the minerals. I cancelled my order with MN through their automatic cancellation system and wrote them a note of disappointment. (I wasn't a complete witch, but I did let them know I was disappointed.)
About two days later, I received the Manganese (a $7.12 product out of the $73.00 order). I figured they would charge my account $7.13 for the portion of my order they were able to ship.
I just found out (from my bank statement) that MN did not charge me for the Manganese only ($7.12), they charged me the full price for the order ($73.00), but never shipped the remaining items.
Clearly, this is a screw-up in their ordering and order cancellation system, but there is no way for me to contacat them to get this sorted out. So I'm out $65.00 -- because I used a company which promised a better price.
Folks -- $73.00 for a $7.00 product is NOT a better price.
Think twice before dealing with a company which you cannot contact directly, and immediately. If nobody is home, nobody is responsible, and nobody is taking responsibility. Which means they have your money and nobody is going to take care of you. They got your money and they're done.
Again, I'm just very disappointed. MotherNature.com used to be a great company. I will contact BBB and maybe they can help sort this out.

Again, folks, I placed an order on September 25th, and am still not getting my money back (on a product they admit not providing) by mid-November is simply not acceptable to me. You can use them if YOU trust them!
This is a follow-up comment, made 11/20/2010. Still no direct communication from these folks, but doing my Quicken accounts this morning, I found that $73.84 was credited to my account by MotherNature.com three days ago.
I'm glad this is resolved, and I appreciate their handling it, but for the average consumer, just realize that it's a very slow, and very confusing process working with these folks. Guess I'm old fashioned, but I really do like communicating directly with people, and I would appreciate their doing the same, where it's necessary. They never did communicate with me directly. Which may be my design and intent. Different strokes for different folks.

"On September 28th I made my very first and very last purchase with MontherNature.com and received a confirmation email from them. On October 5th, upon checking my bank account only, I saw that they got paid. I was wondering when will my merchandise arrive, since I had not received any communications from the company. So I went online onto their page and poked around until I found the statue of my order. To my surprise, the order was delayed because the merchandise was out of stock. Hmmm... I know that they were "in stock" on 28 Sep. So I revisited each of the 3 items I intended to buy and each of them showed "in stock". Looking for a phone number to call "Costumer Service" was an exercise in futility. Eventually I find a way to send a message, next day I did not get an answer. I went back and rechecked if the items as advertised had changed the status as "out of stock" or "back order". But no, each still showed "in stock"! I freaked out because, because I find this practice to be misleading and down right fraudulent! So I sent another message canceling the order and requesting a full refund. Next day I get a reply to my 1st message. Here the Customer Service Agent admits to me that one item was not available the absolutely least important item (a $1.33 tiny deodorant). The Agent offered to have the other items sent in advanced and the the deodorant would be sent separately. I agreed asked to have the items immediately (those 2 items were the main reason why I used their website). Ok, next day, I get a message telling me that the cancellation of the order have been processed. I requested a phone call. I get no phone call!. I call the only phone available to talk to someone with a pulse. The "ordering line". The fellow whom I talked to was kind enough to check if my correspondence was on the record, and it was. he then sent a message for someone to call me. No call. 2 days later I get another message telling the cancellation was in process. I sent a reply to the 3 different Agents that corresponded with me. I very clearly expressed to have the main to items sent and to forget the darn deodorant. Have someone call me so that we can straighten everything and put an amicable end to this mess. Today I get a message telling me that the itemS (capital S) are not available, therefore I should be getting a refund in 3-7 business days. WTF? I checked again and STILL the 3 items show "IN STOCK"... Again, WTF? How legal is this?"

I placed my order on 08/29/10 it is now 09/19/10 and I have not received any order confirmation or anything else from this company but they charged my credit card right away. As stated by others the only way to speak to someone when you call is to choose the ordering option, otherwise they refer you to their website and state the reps have no information about existing orders. When I spoke to them the first time (Wednesday 09/01/10) I was told that it would ship out on Friday so I figured it would be more trouble to cancel. Friday came and went with nothing and I had to log onto their website to even see what was going on because as I've said, I received absolutely no email from them and found out my order still had not shipped. I called again and again Friday was the day they said it would ship. Again nothing so After 2 and a half weeks of waiting I decided to go ahead and cancel my order because I felt it was wrong of a company to go ahead and charge you if they don't have the items in stock, however, they told me that they could put in the request but it might not be canceled. I finally had enough and contacted my credit card company on 09/15/10 and they credited my account the money and said they would deal with this company. I logged on today to make sure that it was canceled but it looks like they shipped the order minus one item! I can't even tell for sure it shipped because it doesn't say "shipped" except for right next to the item shipped quantity. I am so feed up with this company and their poor customer service and I don't even want any items from them! I would have not had such a problem with waiting and/or canceling if they didn't already charge my credit card. I will never order from this company again and if by some miracle I receive my order I will have no choice but to keep it because for one they charge a 15% restocking fee (even though they lied about shipping times both on their website and by phone) but it would most likely take even more time and hassle to try to get a refund from this shady company. BUYER BEWARE! "
"The Good: Lowest price on product I wanted (some face cream stuff), hands down. Shipped same day from their warehouse in Philadelphia to where I live in the TN, got the package in 2 business days shipped UPS Ground.
The Bad: No indication of order number, order status, difficult to get info on order, so I didn't know what was going on with my order until a UPS delivery person was at my doorstep holding it.
At the end of the day they did what they said they would do but I was left in the dark during the process which was frustrating. Would buy from them again, but would keep this in mind and wouldn't hesitate to follow-up through correspondence to make sure things were moving along accordingly. "

A couple of days later, I received an email stating that the item was in fact not in stock but on backorder; no date was given when it *might* be back in stock. Two weeks later, the item is still 'Backordered' even though it continues to be listed as 'In Stock' on their website. Almost a month later, I contact them via webform (since they don't take customer service calls - RED FLAG!), asking that they send whatever they actually *do* have in stock and cancel the rest of my order. "I placed my order on July 31. The money came out of my bank account immediately. No product was ever shipped and no emails either confirming the purchase nor explaining the delay were ever sent. After two weeks I decided to cancel my order. On August 13, after many futile attempts at using their online "Report A Problem" link, I finally gave up and reached a live person through their "Place A New Order" phone number. The customer service person was EXTREMELY RUDE and told me that it was my own responsibility to monitor my account and that I shouldn't rely on emails from the company in order to know my order status. She told me my product was back-ordered and that it had already been processed in the warehouse and therefore couldn't be cancelled even though she had no idea when it would ship. I hung up with her and called back and got another guy who said he would make a "special effort" to stop the order even though it was not standard procedure. He said I could expect a full refund in 2-3 business days. Well, here I am 11 days later and no refund. My next step is to call my bank and dispute the charge. This company is TERRIBLE!!! and should be avoided at all costs. It should also be noted that on August 13 I re-ordered my product from iHerb.com, paid $2.00 shipping and received my order on August 17 after getting both purchase confirmation and shipping detail emails.
UPDATE: I called Mother Nature this morning 8/25 (again through the "Place A New Order" phone line) and inquired about my refund. The very rude and dismissive customer service person said that the refund was in process and that I could maybe expect it around September 8th or 10th. I said this was unacceptable. She said, "too bad." I called my bank and disputed the charge and the money will be back in my account tomorrow. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!"
"I ordered two items three month ago and have charged with them but in the confirmation email and in the website, there is no item and it just show me the shipping charge. I needed them and I didn't know what should I do. After two weeks, I tried to email them, after first email nobody answer me, I mailed them again so they respond me that “I am very sorry to inform you that your order has been canceled. …. I have already submitted a refund request with our accounting department. Please allow 3-7 business days for processing …” , after one month nothing happen so I again emailed them and then again after a couple of email they respond me as “Our pologies for the delay in issuing your refund. I have re-submitted your request to the accounting department and flagged your account as a "high priority".” And I still not received my money or items. After that they write in my account that they are shipped!!!
