"This was my 8th purchase from MCG - I've tried leaving reviews, and I never see that they are posted, so I'm not holding back on my criticisms like usual. I feel like it would be fair if all reviews were visible to buyers.
Obviously I like MCG to order 8 times. But there are cons that buyers, and the staff, should be aware of in order to improve. My last 3 shipments arrived with damp soil and water damage. Some were unsalvageable, so I was able to get some store credit for dead plants.
I made a note for them to wait for dry soil before shipping, which they did, and I was happy for. However, 3 of my plants were really neglected. Some were very wilted, and others were completely translucent. I'm assuming this is why I received a couple free plants (although one of them was completely translucent - I couldn't even propagate a single leaf). The wilted plants were so bad, they were like clearance items for $1 at Lowes. I appreciate the effort to make up for these plants, but I purchased specific plants, paid for shipping, all because I wanted those specific plants. I wouldn't have made the purchase otherwise. I wrote my review before, and I included a picture to show how bad it was, but it wasn't posted (or approved to be seen? - and nobody reached out to me to make things right).
I still like MCG enough to purchase again - they have uncommon plants sometimes for reasonable prices. I wonder if they'll improve in spring, and maybe these plants were neglected in winter? I will hold off ordering more in the future until it warms up.. however if problems continue, I don't think I would put up with this anymore. I've given them plenty of opportunities to make things right - and I've written reviews to explain everything - yet no effort has been made to make up for it. I've spent over $400 this year here, and I shouldn't be brushed off like this."

"One of my plants arrived dead. All the leaves had fallen off before it even arrived on my doorstep. I reached out already with my order number and a picture of the plant in question, but have not yet heard back. Another one of the plants I got is droopy and not looking well (likely from the cold during delivery), we'll see in the next few days or so if this one will bounce back. It's cold outside, and I ordered a heat pack to be placed in with the plants, but this doesn't seem to have done much good in protecting them. The other 3 plants I ordered are in good shape and have bounced back fast, very disappointed about the one that didn't make it though."
