Defective item, poor service!

"Bought an Emminence speaker from Music123 for a replacement for an Ampeg BA115HP M.I.C. special.
Amp produced lots of unwanted noises and was brought for Ampeg service twice. (Over 60 days) Turns out the problem was the defective speaker sold me by Music123 and now they won't replace it.
NOT happy when they offered to sell me a another speaker after I spent my time and money on unnecessary servicing. Customer service?

Sent a completely defective guitar with a mismatched case

"Music 123 advertised a guitar as "B" stock, excellent condition with no issues other than very minor scratches.The guitar was purchased for $1200.
Upon receiving it, the case did not match the model but was a case for a different guitar series.
The guitar had a completely warped neck which needed a neck reset. It was returned and they received the guitar today which I confirmed with UPS.They won't issue the refund for another week because they are "backed up with returns".
What a disastrous experience with Music 123.I should have read the reviews here before purchasing.Being a part of Guitar Center and Musicians friend, I thought perhaps it would be OK.I bought it through Reverb and they were not very helpful either.
So, if you buy from them please realize that they do not do any evaluation of their guitars before shipping them.

The ol' bait and switch

"I purchased a guitar with the 'buy it now' option on eBay and even though it had a broken headstock, I was happy to pay 1/2 price for it! ($680 was MSRP) I received a message from Music123 twenty two hours later telling me my order had been cancelled due to the guitar nor being in stock!! How is that possible? How do you auction off something that you don't have? This sounds like fraud....I filed a complaint with eBay and after reading other feedback comments I realized this is their 'business practice'. They do not honor their part of a transaction, and should be banned from doing business anywhere!"

Awesome experience

"Ordered a Martin 0017s whiskey sunset on 2/27/2019 at 8:43 am it was listed as b stock.
I recieved item on 2/28/2019 at 2pm..i was totatly suprised at how fast i got it!!.. i cannot find a flaw or scratch etc etc on it anywhere..i am totally pleased with my purchase and im looking forward to future puchases

Dishonest item descriptions on Reverb

"I purchased an amp on Reverb from Music 123. It was described as a mint condition flawless return. When it arrived it had a dent in the speaker grill and I felt I had payed to much for an item that was not as described. I requested a return well within my 30 day return period and through Reverb messages I was accused by Music 123 of having buyers remorse and that the item fit the description of B stock as according to Reverb. I maintain that, while that is true, the amp was not in the described condition of “mint” or “flawless”. Music 123 reluctantly allowed me to return the amp at my shipping expense, even though Music 123’s policy says they pay shipping if item is not as described. I called Reverb and their customer service reps saw things my way and Reverb paid the return shipping (Reverb is awesome!) and gave Music 123 a talking to (according to the Reverb rep). Music 123 did finally give my refund, but continued their pettiness by listing the return refund as “customer did not like amp”, showing they can not admit when they are wrong and do right by it. I will never do business with Music123 again and I recommend everyone else stay away from them as well. BEWARE!!! "

Do not trust that what you buy is yours. They don't honor Ebay rules - Buy It Now means nothing.

"Bought a used item through Buy It Now and paid immediately. Was sent confirmation, and 5 start feedback as a buyer. Then, hours later, was sent a refund - no explanation. I called them, and was told the item was sold to someone else but they had new ones I could buy. I said "you need to honor our Ebay agreement, and at least honor the same price." He spoke to supervisor and came back and said no.

Unacceptable - will never buy from you again, and will review everywhere I can to make sure people know about this. I hope this negative review, and all of the others including Ebay, was worth your $20.00.

Terrible business to deal with, go to Sweetwater, they're the best!

"On June 16th, I bought a very specific stick bag on the Music 123 eBay store because I needed it in time for gig on the 22nd, all was well until (today the 18th) they canceled the order without notifying me as to why. I found out they don't no longer have the bag in stock. Now I'm screwed on the gig because it's this Friday and would have to pay astronomical shipping for a replacement. They ****!"

Most Frustrating Company ever. Ever.

"Initially I called this company needing a product here that would require 3 day shipping but do to the fact that I absolutely needed it by the 3rd day I decided to pay for FedEx Priority Overnight shipping to have it the next day. The representative was helpful and processed the order but the flags started to go up when I received the confirmation email from Musicians friend? Regardless, The order had been processed and I was fine. Then I checked the tracking # and saw that they had shipped it ground! I called them and asked them not only about shipping but if they were a part of musicians friend. She said something like "No were not affiliated with them, we just share some space in our warehouse"...? Then she said that they shipped it overnight and recommended I called UPS. Keep in mind it stated on the musicians friend order that it was shipped ground. I called UPS and they confirmed it was shipped ground. So I called Music123 back and they finally confirmed that it was their fault.

Overall just a very confusing and misleading company. Seems like they are trying to hide the fact that they are Musicians Friend? Im not really sure. Stay AWAY!

DO NOT BUY! BE WARNED!!!

"I purchased a Novation Mininova from Music123 off of Reverb.com, for which I thought was a reasonable deal, only to find out later that my order had been cancelled without any information or message whatsoever explaining why!?

As I purchased this item as a gift for someone, you cannot imagine the disappointment finding out days later that your order was cancelled without any notification at all!!! No message, no apology and zero alternative offer or voucher for a possible future purchase. They just silently cancelled my order without any reason.

Unreliable and disgusting service! Will never order from this company ever again and will warn everyone else not to deal with this company. I wish I had read their "Reseller Ratings" first, as it seems that this company is a scam and has a terrible reputation. Lesson learned.

I refused to purchase anything from this company ever again!

Over the years I have have purchased lots of gear and I'm pretty loyal to the music stores I shop at but my experience with Music123 was so poor years ago that I vowed never to buy another item from their store ever again. Some years ago I purchased an Alesis Amplifier and some Alesis studio monitor speakers. I was so happy to order my first pair of professional monitors. When the UPS man came and dropped off my long awaited package I went to pull the amplifier out the box and heard rattling inside of it like something important had come loose. It was clear that it was broken. I didn't bother to plug it in not wanting to start a fire or something. I called up Music123 and told them that the Amplifier they sent me was broken. They weren't in the least bit apologetic and instead had me return everything back to them like it was a regular return order and not a damaged item on thier or UPS's part. They only offered me "Store Credit". This was about $800 worth of stuff and they would not give me a refund for their damaged junk they shipped me only store credit. They really took advantage of me. After arguing with the manager about their lack of customer service" I really got the understanding that this company could careless about it's customers. I used the store credit to purchase some music gear and when I received those items too they were also damaged. Obviously annoyed I returned them and spoke to the manager who was rude about the entire thing like it was his $800 lost and he was forced to shop at a store he hated. So after returning their damaged junk for the second time I spoke with a manager and was rudely told that I could only place another order and wouldn't be able to return any of the items. I told the guy that the items they keep shipping me are damaged and they don't inspect the inventory they ship. At the time I was 18-19 and didn't know how to deal with rude people really or how to get my money back through my bank. So I ended up purchasing items I didn't want to exhaust the credit and sold the stuff on ebay to get my money back. Since than I never shopped at this company their business practices are very shady. Sometime ago I learned they changed their return policy to "full refund" but it seems like even now all these years later people have issues getting a refund from this place. Very untrustworthy company with varying return policies even when the circumstances surrounding it are entirely their fault.

RUN, DON'T WALK AWAY from Music 123

"I ordered a Silver Creek Classical Guitar case from Music 123, but upon my first opening it up, I noticed that the top had bent (possible due to shipping) as it didn't line up and thus not open and close correctly. I requested a return and was promptly emailed a return shipping label, and took it to a UPS facility the next day.
I orders lots of things from Amazon, and usually hear back from the seller within four or five days that the return was processed and credited to my account. NOT SO WITH MUSIC 123!
After the first week, they said that the 'process' would take up to three weeks. Really? "OK" I said, so after three weeks I emailed them again about the return and they flat out lied and said they had just received it. I had proof from UPS that it was received and signed in by a fellow named Norman six days after I sent it. So I waited another three weeks, emailed them again, and NOTHING. No reply, no nothing! I called Amazon and thus began the process of having them contact Music 123. NOTHING! From then it was another two week wait until Amazon now put it into their 'special claims department' to find out why they were'n't responding to both my and their emails and phone calls.
This then went on for another two weeks until I called Amazon and spoke directly with a supervisor about it, who told me to wait one more week for them to get it resolved....again NOTHING! They were actually ignoring Amazon too!
After speaking with another supervisor demanding 'something' be done, as a valued Prime member for many years, they gave me a credit directly, so at least I got my money back.
Music 123, you are the WORST and promise to tell this story to everyone I know.

MUSIC123 scam. they are the evil stepchild of guitar center

"Guitar Center does business as Music123 on Amazon.I purchased a bass at a deep discount on Amazon Prime day 7/11/2017.

Following day I receive email saying my order is cancelled for "technical issues" When I call them they blame an amazon pricing error. When I call amazon they say that Music123 submitted the price and that is was correct. They also said Music123 told them to cancel the order due to out of stock. Amazon rep investigates and finds same item still in stock and on sale on their website for 629.00 vs the 112 that they sold it to me for the prior day.

I open an investigation with amazon. I call back Music123 (who claims on the amazon website that they are a Philadelphia family owned music store even though research reveals that they are actually based in California and they answer the phone as guitar center) and inform them that I found out they were lying to me earlier and they try to sell me the same guitar at a "generous" price of 580.00. Quite an elaborate bait and switch. Very dishonest company.

Do not buy from Guitar Center or any of its shadow companies (Music123, Musicians friend, etc.just do a wiki for the whole list)

update....

And to add insult to injury here is their response to my complaint.They ADMIT it was their mistake after numerous lies blaming it on amazon and telling amazon it was out of stock and think a "goodwill" 20 dollar gift card will just make it go away.

Here is proof that they not only have no respect for you as a customer or any respect for basic business ethics but think you are *** as well. Yeah sure....I'm naive enough to believe that you "accidentally" make a pricing mistake and conned me into buying your imaginary product on AMAZON PRIME DAY thus causing me to miss out on LEGIT deals that were available. It was all just an honest mistake right? BS!!!!!!!!
