"HORRIBLE!!! I ordered a PRS DW CE24. They charged me $2769.15 as I elected for express shipping. At checkout I was told they would ship next business day...which it didn't. Fast forward to two weeks later and I NEVER RECEIVED THE PRODUCT. Everytime I speak to them, they say they are processing my refund and will send an email with an update. I have never received an email OR a refund. This is theft. I complained to BBB and am disputing the charges, They should be ashamed of themselse.

"Ordered two speakers. Both listed as mint open box. Both arrived damaged. One was only partially packaged so may have been damaged due to that. The second was packed fine but still damaged so this was damaged before shipping. Asked customer service and simply told to send them back. Why do the knowing ship bad products"
"Bought a guitar for my son's Christmas gift online at Guitar Center on 8/26/2000. On 9/26, the guitar had not been shipped, though they already had billed and received payment. GC said guitar was out of stock....will give me a refund, and notify me when new stock is ready to ship. Did get the refund....but never heard from them again.
On 11/17, saw same deal in stock on Musician's Friend, and purchased it.
On 11/19, received Email saying it is backordered.
On 12/17, told that guitar is still out of stock. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift!!!
On 1/13/2001, MF sends Email "The item(s) below has been canceled from your order. If your credit card has already been authorized for payment, it may take 5–7 days for your bank to release the hold on those funds." Not even a 'we're sorry, but' !!!

"Ordered a DJ controller in early December 2020. The web site says nothing about it being used, and the price is = to the same new devices elsewhere. Package arrives just before Christmas. My first indication that there’s a problem, the box is well worn and covered in packing tape. Upon opening the box I discovered only the controller and a power cord. No instructions, missing a cable to connect to a pc, nothing that is included with a new unit is there. The controller itself is covered with greasy fingerprints, scratches around knobs and levers...clearly NOT new. Called customer service to arrange a return the day after Christmas and shipped the unit back with the RMA # (at my own expense...$85) a day later. Still awaiting a refund. Will probably have to get AmEx involved. Never again, Musician’s “friend”! "
"I purchased bass guitar from them, primarily because their site APPEARED to offer 48 month 0% financing on the instrument. I also ordered two guitars from my grandsons for Christmas. I later found out that you have to drill down into their website to discover the true financing options on each brand. I opened on of their charge cards but I assure you that once my purchase is paid off I will no use it or their company. I can't even get a call back from management. NEVER AGAIN"
"Ordered cork grease and red knife on 9/21/20. According to the tracking number provided to me by e-mail, the package has not moved since 9/23/20.
Called them on 9/25/20 and was told, "We will check on it and will get back to you".
No one contacted me, so on 9/29/20 I called again and was told that the order is in"pre-shipment status".
I requested to cancel the order that was, apparently, lost becuase it has not been scanned by UPS or USPS since 5 days ago. The representative (P.J., from Philippines Customer service center), refused, stated, "I can't because we already sent it".
This was the last time I ordered something from them."
"So I was excited to see you guys had something in stock that most didn’t. Ordered it this morning overnight for a birthday on Saturday. Just to wake up and see that the order was canceled, when I asked why they said the billing information didn’t match the bank, which has never happened in 10 years and is not correct. "This vendor used to be great but anymore, I don't know. Three months ago I ordered some misc. parts for a build. Even though the items showed as in stock two of three items went on backorder after I placed the order. Three months later, "where is my stuff?" When I contact them they don't even respond. Dang guys. "
"Musicians Friend used to be my go to for everything - now I get floor models shipped to me from Guitar Center. Called customer support and they want to convince me that a floor unit wrapped in bubble wrap is "a new unit". I asked for a refund and was put on infinite hold - this is an awful way to treat a long time customer. This won't happen again. "
"I purchased online a Yamaha FG830 Natural finish guitar and paid for it throught PayPal using a credit card. The next day I received emails from them saying they only had one in stock and it was an open box item. They gave me the choice: did I want it for the same price as a brand new item, or I could cancel the order. I choose to cancel the order. First of all they should have a better inventory system to know what they have in stock. Second, they should have offered me a discount on the open box item. I paid using PayPal, and they said it could take a week before the refund appears in my PayPal account. I am going to have to check my PayPal account because their transaction emails don't always list the sale tax."
"Here’s how it happened... 15 years ago I started ordering from MF and never had an issue. Sweetwater was sold out of the Taylor I wanted, so I got on MF m’s app and it said in stock!! I ordered right then. Me being the review guru I am, I decided since it had been so long I would check their ratings (after the purchase, I know silly). I see what you’ve been seeing. Horror stories of packages coming beaten up and recycling restock items, customer service being terrible... etc.. etc.. So I get a little panic in my stomach. I figured I’d just have to ride it out now, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered on a Friday night and by Tuesday evening I was playing my flawless, perfectly packaged, brand new guitar. Now, I didn’t have to deal with customer service, but on SUNDAY I repeat SUNDAY I recieved a call from Rick my “gear advisor” who left a message and email to make sure that everything was going smoothly with my order. He offered me the tracking info and gave me a direct line to get in contact
Maybe I just got lucky? Maybe they’re getting their act together? Or maybe only people with bad experiences leave anything on here for them. I enjoyed doing business with them. Easy, and smooth "
"My son broke a string on the guitar. Ordered a pretty common 3-pack of guitar stings. The site suggested it would take a few days to process the order. It took 52 days to get the string to me. Like seriously - almost 2 full months. For guitar strings.
After two weeks of waiting with no meaningful updates, I had to order it elsewhere. But you can't cancel the order and guitar strings are not returnable. They just take your money and maybe some day in your lifetime, you may just get your purchase.
Never again will I do business with MusiciansFriend (they should be honest with themselves and accept the rebranding of MusciansFoe)."

"This company is a joke,I pre ordered a PRS Mccarty 594 because the ship date listed as 30 days.A week after ordering the ship date changed to another 30 days out I called and asked if my order was part included in the later ship date if so I want to cancel my order,I was told no and it will arrive on the original date.Ship date arrives no guitar,I was told 2 arrived at the Distribution center and one of them was mine.A week later nothing.Called to speak to a manger I got a supervisor and was told they received none and my guitar would arrive 3 months later..On the Fb Prs Fans site 2 people got the same model and they purchased from MF..LIES LIES AND MORE LIES..To this day I have never been able to talk to a Manager..Oh I had also pre ordered a EVH LBX amp and the ship date changed..I canceled that right away..Everything conversation You have with salespeople is typed in a memo..They cover each others buts..SPREAD THE WORD MF is a JOKE!!"
