"I have been using Express Invoice for a few years now and it has become an integral part of one of my small businesses and during that time changed from the Windows version (after getting annoyed with all the Microsoft related issues) to the Mac OS version purchasing licenses for both platforms.
I recently decided to upgrade my HDD to SSHD and had to re-install the software as one would. The moment I did though, I assumed the worst when my license key no longer worked and was re-directed to the sales page.
Thinking purchasing another license was inevitable I quickly popped off a support ticket (without any codes and just using the email address I used when I made the purchase years ago) and reluctantly started googling other invoicing apps even though I didn't want to start on a new system and was happy with EI.
To my surprise a reply came through within minutes with a key and link to the version I needed to install. I was still reading the google results from my search and had not even opened a link! I was very impressed and quite honestly instantly relieved!
That was awesome service and quite refreshing in a digital age where support tickets usually take a day or two (if at all)! This alone has secured my ongoing support with regards to not only the Invoicing software in question but has made me to look at some of the other solutions NHC Software offers to see if there are other apps/programs that I can use in some of my other businesses too!
The only reason this review (which is something I don't do) does not get all five stars is the chat support did not work. Apart from that - FIVE STARS

"NCH has asked me to write a review of my experience with the company and their products, and I agreed, because they deserve it. I have been using four of NCH products for working on my computer since 2012. As time goes by, operating systems are upgraded, Windows change, new drivers are released for interface cards, and occasionally compatibility between softwares are lost. Windows automatically updates itself from the Internet, and recently a thirteen Euro SoundTrap software stopped working. I thought, it is inexpensive, let's just buy another one. But, since this was my first technical problem after many years with NCH, I was curious what kind of service will I get without a service contract. I made my problem report. The next day I have received a full page of instructions from the NCH Customer Service Team as to how to eliminate the problem. It worked! From the details of the help instructions, I could see that the effort invested by NCH to help me out cost them more than the price I paid for the product.

"I purchased this software and then realized I didn't really need it. I asked for a refund per their refund policy. The refund was promptly sent to Paypal.
It was not that I didn't like the software, it was simply not needed. The Golden Videos is a really great product. Easy to use, great interface, quality video capture. I almost wish I had needed and, therefore, kept the software, it was really good and easy to use.

"nch.com.au makes several types of software. Among these is ExpressScribe. While the software is typically okay, their support policy ("Nothing is Free") and customer service are the worst I have ever seen.
An example: We downloaded the ExpressScribe for the Mac. It would not play a file format we needed, and gave the message "this is only available in the Pro version." We paid for the pro version Oct 26 and received a unlock code, however there was NO place to enter the code to unlock it to the pro version. Customer service would not write to us (no phone support) unless we paid for a service contract. We had to contact our credit card company to force a refund. A month later (Nov 27), we received an explanation from the company explaining that "at the time you purchased the software, it was only available for Windows".
Forcing customers to pay for customer service for a product that *doesn't even exist* is about as bad as it gets. Had they actually made customer service available, this could have been resolved without going to our credit card company to force a refund."
