HORRIBLE

"I ordered, as advertised 200 magnetic calendars with 100 calendars free. I first received 300 of the wrong product, then only 200 calendars. I called and spoke to a Shana on 1/3/18, who said they still have these in stock and will send out the 100 free calendars. On 1/22/18 I get a call from a nasty customer service woman who tells me the calendars are not in stock and they will not have any more for the year. She tried to give me a 15% discount on NEXT order,as if I will order from them again, I told her I will only pay 1/3 of the bill which I think is fair since I only received 2/3 of my order. She told me NO, so I hung up and contacted BBB. We have been ordering from here for over 20 years, I will be looking elsewhere next year."

shipping prices are a SCAM

"I have ordered from National Pen for years; for this past order the shipping was upwards of 60$ for a box of pens. Instead of using the $60 towards shipping costs; they skimped on the shipping method and the items took more than 3 weeks to arrive! Instead of pocketing the exorbitant shipping costs you should respect your clientele and mail orders out effectively! The products are fine, just cant stand them OVERCHARGING for shipping, when they use the cheapest method possible. "

"i wish they have score less than 1.0, after i have the order and waiting for more more than 16 days, i have called the customer service and he said that it will take more than 20 business day to process the order, after i told him that i placed the order 16 days ago, he said that they don't have it and you have to wait at least more than 2 weeks or you can cancel the order which i did
i was sure also the company will close soon

Liars

"Specifically asked if my items were in stock ready to be made and ship, I was told yes. Over a month later, no items, and I'm told the went on backorder but are in stock. Asked for a revised timeline and I am told there is no way they can tell me that.

This company ****. Find and use whatever walk in local promotional item company your city has.

"I ordered 50 pens for $29.99 on 09/19/17 for my grand opening on 10/20/17. I thought the production will be a week or two, well I never receive the pens , no one contacted me, I called on the 17th,18th and19th still my order was not sent. Nothing but stories. I was so disappointed. I will not recommend anyone to do business with them. They are not reliable ."

Deceptive pricing

"I ordered 100 pens for the 'sale price' of .59 per. Placing the order the price for 100 pens was $59. Of course there was $4.28 taxes(which was actually 6.88), then they tell you there is a $16.95 set-up charge plus a charge for delivery and handling. (No amount was given) - This is when I should have stopped the order. The pens arrived very quickly, approximately 1 week, and I am pleased to have paid .59 per unit, however the bill is for $101.82 - The pens are not worth $1 a piece. Had I realized it was that price, I would have never ordered the pens, which is precisely why they do this. Very deceptive. I will never order from here again, nor would I recommend them for these reasons. "

Are they their forcing their product on to you?

"my assistant was looking at the pens on their website, she was going to show me later when I came back from a trip, but apparently their system completed an order and shipped without a credit card or payment information from us, pens arrived unexpectedly and she was baffled as for why they send it... (I since fired her for other reasons)
but now they are sending me emails to pay for it. but would rather return them I certainly I don't want it. I gave them my number to call me and solve this, definitely not something I would have ordered
they turned a potential client into a negative review.
is that some kind of force sales they are pulling on people? seem bad business practice to me
what is wrong with them, why would they ship without a payment?
Although seems like an error on their website, perhaps the developer forgot to include payment information requirement before an order can be shipped... but the negative is in the way they are handling it, the problem is on their end and their customer care.

Takes no responsibility for their errors.

"My mother purchased pens with her contact information on them. She order via snail mail, but when she received her order, the address was incorrect. The address for shipping was spelled correctly, but misspelled on the pens. An offer to resend the pens with the correct information would have made the experience better, however, they told her she had one option - get 10% off her next order. Paying $80 for incorrectly spelled pens due to an input error on their part means that there won't be another order. Take responsibility for your errors."

Substandard products

"I have ordered two products from the company. I have found both to be substandard in quality.
The flashlight key-chain batteries will not last more than 12 months in storage (unfortunately I am now stuck with over a 100 worthless flashlights). The moral of the story is don't buy any product in advance just because it is a good deal!

I also purchased some upscale metal felt tip pens recently. The metal cases were very good but the ink inserts were marginal at best given the price.

As the old adage goes, "If the deal is to good to be true, it usually isn't!

"I placed an order for pens, but the company overbooked. The company did not even inform me that they overbooked until I called them for the second time almost three weeks after I had ordered them. They told me that they would not be getting in a new shipment for a couple of months, so I was not able to have the pens for the event that I needed them for."

Not what they advertise...

"Like another reviewer, called to order pens for my church. They had 35,000 pens in this one clearance product, so talked me into doubling my order. Placed the order, they charged my card, and told me 7-10 business days. Called at 10 days and they said "would be shipped out on Monday." A week later--still no pens--called and they ran out of the pens! They still kept my money and didn't even notify me that there was an issue with the product and they couldn't fill my order! I had to call to find out the status and had to request my order be cancelled before they would even reimburse my money. I feel their advertising and sales techniques are misleading at best and questionable practices at worst. I cancelled my order and went with one of their competitors. I will never use National Pens or refer them. They lost a potentially good customer--I'm always repeat business if treated right. "

OMG! One of the best companies to deal with customer service

"Truly amazed at how great their customer service has been. There was an error on my first order (which looks like an error on my part), but the company worked with me on getting them redone. It was a gift for someone who loved them. This company even sent me a sample pen with my info on it. I'm already working on my second order. Very impressed. Thank you National Pens for great customer service!!"
